Edit: The gym post fake reviews. Beware. The gym serves its purpose but has room for major improvement. If you're someone who only goes to the gym for hypertrophy and mostly uses machines, then this gym will probably be a good fit for you. I will say that the floor plan was poorly thought out and they put too many machines in there. You often have to weave between machines just to get to the mens locker room. If you're someone into barbell work or sports training then this gym is mid at best. They DO have more squat racks / "power cage" than most gyms. However, the weights are seldom organized and often just laying all over the floor- literally. They did invest in upright weight racks but then had the bright idea to stack the heaviest weights on them so trying to get the 45 or 55lb weights is inefficient. Additionally, these racks are also disorganized and you often have to remove 3-4 training weights just to get to the weight you want. The turf field is cool but is often littered with miscellaneous equipment that doesn't belong there or influencers filming. So trying to do sprints or sled workouts is not always a viable option. Beyond that the gym can be dirty. It's not uncommon to see trash by the squat racks, empty plastic bottles on the machines - sometimes for days at a time, and used paper towels just thrown on the floor. I have photos of everything mentioned in this review, but think that would be overkill. Anyone who has visited the gym or frequents the barbell area and turf knows this is just an objective review. With that said, this is just meant to be constructive criticism - but I will admit it was spurred by a feeling of being "over it". The main reason for working out at a gym rather than your home or apartment is for convenience . The gym meets this benchmark in some areas more than others. Are there plenty of machines and weights? - yes. Are the weights / space organized? - no. Is the place clean? - some days more than others. *edit: I will be adding photos to this review.

Edit: Revising to one star for the blatant fake reviews they’re posting. Dozens of 5-star reviews from new accounts on the same day — doesn’t take a genius to figure out what they’re doing. Focus on improving your gym. Original review: The insane volume of the music continues to be a thorn in my side. It’s bugs me even more to see basically everyone complaining about it but the owners refuse to budge on this. Why?! Men’s bathroom needs work as well. Often has an extremely pungent smell and they just aren’t cleaning the floors nearly often enough. Soap dispensers are often empty or broken. Bathroom stalls don’t lock. Overall really gross. Cold plunges were promised when I joined spring ‘24, still nowhere to be found going into 2025. Not sure I’d trust them to keep them clean anyways. On the good side, there’s a ton of machines here and plenty of squat racks. I don’t really feel like the gym ever gets unbearably busy during peak hours and it becomes a ghost town after 9pm if you like night workouts. Overall OK gym. I’d put up with the quirks for $35/mo but it’s grating at $70/mo.

My favorite gym in Austin! Literally it’s like someone had unlimited budget and got every machine you could ever want. Only feedback would be fixing the always broken cardio machines and making sure to up keep the bathrooms, they usually aren’t the cleanest. Besides that I would 100% suggest and recommend this gym!

The House of Gainz, aka The HOG, is a one of a kind gym experience, with two locations, one in the North Austin (Pflugerville Tech Ridge) and (Georgetown TX) areas of Austin. Both gyms foster a welcoming environment for all gym goers, but don't confuse either of these gyms with the likes of Crunch Fitness, Planet Fitness, Lifetime Fitness, or even Golds Gym. These gyms foster the equipment and knowledge and clientele from beginners to the IFBB Pro, Olympian level bodybuilders! Each location has personal trainers should you need a little extra motivation.

Awesome staff! Everyone is friendly and motivating! Clean place. Honestly best equipment I’ve ever had in a gym. You defiantly get what you pay for. Sauna is nice and hot. Also I personally love the music they play. (That’s just me)
