I just recently moved to the area and was looking for a yoga studio to start a membership at. I always try different studios in the area and ultimately determine which class I prefer the best. The Works Studio caught my eye immediately and their classes seemed to be in line with exactly what I was looking for…. Safe to say, I will not be returning. The class was EXTREMELY packed to the point where there was truly no freedom to move and your personal space is completely violated. I’m not sure if it was just the instructor, but she was extremely difficult to hear over the music she was playing, went WAY too fast (if you don’t know what you’re doing you’re screwed) and I hate to say, not friendly at all !! (And that’s coming from someone who spent 22 years with New Jersey “hospitality”). Typically after a first class the instructor will ask how the class went, etc., I think Susanne was just excited to get home. It was unfortunate because I was super excited about this studio and ultimately decided I will not be purchasing a membership here . Oh and if you go to their studio downtown, you will have to pay for parking(: how nice

I’m only here for 2 days visiting my best friend and we don’t get to see each other very often, so we booked and paid for seats next to each other online, and we show up and they gave our seats away and put us on opposite sides of the class. The lockers they gave us even had our original seats on them, and the front girl did nothing and barely apologized. THEN I get into the class, and my bike is broken!!! The resistance doesn’t work, so I sit on my bike the entire class and get no workout in. I let the instructor know and she knew the bike was broken and was surprised they took a hold off that bike! The instructor also was very hard to understand during the class. I let the front desk girl know she moved me to a broken bike at the end of the class and that I got no workout in and she just said oops sorry. I was never offered a refund or a comp or anything. I would not recommend coming here. The staff was not helpful at all. I am extremely disappointed and it was a waste of time. UPDATE: The owner was out of town this day and read my review and apologized and gave me a refund of the class, so I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1. I still think their staff needs to be trained better on how to treat the customers in this sort of situation, every other workout studio I have gone to has been a lot better about ensuring the paying customer is treated exceptionally.

This place is more than a yoga studio, it’s a community. I leave feeling empowered and strong. I love the variety of class offerings and their instructors are top notch. The music and lighting is a vibe and each time I go I find myself drawn back. I find myself actively trying not to go 7 days a week. If you haven’t tried theworks before this is your sign to get in the room!

Yoga-because therapy once a week is too expensive 😝 I love the teachers, vibe, and welcomes of the studio. The goal isn’t to do poses perfectly or be perfect, but to listen to your body and enjoy your yoga. I’ve been to many studios that I’ve enjoyed but I feel like The Works really is a sincere dose of motivation both physically and mentally in every class.

This studio PACKS their classes to a point which seems unhealthy / unsafe and is definitely not conducive to those looking for a yoga class and space to unwind. 55 people in one room is way too many. The sound system is blown out and the music is so loud you can’t hear yourself think or even clearly hear the instructor on their microphone telling you how to move. Mash up vinyasa is nothing like yoga vinyasa. Make sure you understand what you’re signing up for. As someone who who had never been there before, I was not aware of this and wouldn’t have taken the class if I did know. They also don’t offer military discount :/ Things I did like: Maddy was very kind. They also set up a cubby for me with a towel and such which was appreciated.
