Joined the edge a little over 6 months ago, and it has become my second home. The facility is well appointed, clean, and full of energy. Having been to several other larger 'clubs' in the area, I find the edge to have small gym feel with the personal touch we all want. The staff at the Wayne location is the absolute best! They truly go above and beyond to make the experience special. If you want that small-town gym feel without the shirtless bros grunting on the bench...this is your place!

If you love working out to eardrum busting music and working out with college kids, you will love it. This gym caters to college guys who love upper body stuff, protein supplements, and I cannot reiterate enough- extremely loud music. Also they have cut back child care hours (none on Sunday and only a few hours select days at the most crowded time 4:30-7:30). For me personally, it doesn’t have very high value because the loudness and crowds raise my cortisol after a long day teaching little kids. They do lock you in for a year membership so if you’re unhappy with it, tough.

I've been a member for 12 months and really enjoy the variety of equipment to use. I actually like it more than LifeTime fitness where I used to be a member. I go at 7:30am and the gym is not overly crowded at that time. The gym is very clean and the equipment is always working. And if it's down it gets fixed rather quickly. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because they do not have a Hex Bar. I've lobbied for it and have been told corporate will not approve which makes no sense. Even after I offered to make a donation to the CEO's favorite charity.

DO NOT sign up unless you want to be locked in for an ENTIRE YEAR. Beware of the fine print! I’m sure most people won’t mind but if you only have been out to use the gym 7-8 times since January it’s a waste of money. Always way too crowded unless you go at 830pm. Place seems like they are desperate for money to be locking you in a mandatory contract for a year that you can’t get out of, unless you change your address? Weird policy I will say the staff is kind and this is nothing towards the people that work at this location. But it’s a very weird thing to make mandatory. Go to planet fitness for half the price.

I am pleased to have the selection of machines that are available. I especially like the Hoist machines, which seem to fit my body. The only down side of the gym concerns the presence of cell phones. At any given. time every machine will be tied up by someone on a cell phone. I know it is a young gym, but everyone pays to use the gym. Can anything be done?
