We love northeastern Ju Jitsu. I've tried other karate studios for my daughter in the past and Chuck is the best. Both of my kids love coming to his classes. He applys what they are learning to real life situations like, what to do if somone big tries to get you in their car, bully situations, how to get out of someone's hold if they try to grab you. It's great. Chuck is strict but also has alot of fun with the kids. The kids all love him for it. They know what is expected of them. They all know when it's time for fun and when it's time to get down to business. If you looking for a place to let ur kids burn off some energy and learn how to defend themselves at the same time, this is ur place. The class times are good for working parents and pricing is great too!

I have been fortunate enough to have known and trained with Richie gates the No gi jiu-jitsu/submission wrestling instructor at NEJJ for over a decade now and i can tell you that not only is he a "killer" on the mat as a competitor, he one in the "classroom" as well, constantly studying the newest and most innovative techniques to bring to those that he teaches. if you are looking for a new fun, challenging, activity , in a laid back friendly atmosphere i cant recommend Richie and the no gi classes at NEJJ enough!

There is a good mix of people in the class and everyone is great. The instructors and the owner are absolutely awesome. Could not recommend more. There are some really knowledgeable guys here and just learning the basics is an absolute blast

I've been training off and on at this location for 23 years. I've known Chuck the entire time. He bought the school from our original instructor, Paul Marsh. It looks nothing like it originally did when I was 13. Both constantly put money back into the school to improve it. Likewise, a style that was basically hard style Karate and AikiJiu-Jitsu evolved as the rise of MMA exposed what was effective, and what was speculation. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Kickboxing along with other elements such as Wrestling, Judo, and others, reshaped the curriculum. I speak from personal experience, Chuck, Rex, and Richie are excellent instructors. All the while, maintaining a safe, fun, yet still challenging, training environment.
