Planet fitness is one of the best gyms in the area. Clean well lit big parking lot. I use it as a guest. My health ins does not use planet fitness for a free gym subscription. But I think it's great.

They “upgraded” the machines but half of the promised machines haven’t even shown up and they took out machines that people actually used. Now what’s left is cluttered together. You want to use the one leg press that works? You’ll be making direct eye contact with the dude on the bike. Hope you enjoy awkward moments. Maybe get rid of some of the cardio equipment to make room for new stuff? Nothing makes sense with this company.

I visited the Peckvile location this week on a trip to NEPA. I met the Manager, Dan. I asked for a small workout and a hot shower. I inquired about any crime in the parking lot. There are issues in my home State at PF. Dan was courteous and informative. I was very impressed with the layout and cleanliness. My gym, although great, is loaded with florescent lighting. I have located 5 syringe needles in the parking lot and there were issues with broken car windows and a gun stolen in recent weeks. The Peckville location felt like stepping into a pleasant living room. There was a blend of youth or "yutes" along with old timers like me. I plan to visit this location again while in the area. Have had a good experience throughout the years (was a member on and off since 2016 or 2017). Staff was always friendly, and the place was always kept clean. Moved out of the area, otherwise wouldn't have canceled.
