Matty and her staff are AWESOME. Always a friendly greeting when you arrive and a "Have a great day!" when you leave. The equipment is always being updated. If by chance which is extremely rare that there is an "Out of Order" sign on a machine that machine is most likely repaired by my next visit to Tappan Retro. (Unless parts have to ordered of course.) It is the cleanest gym I have ever worked out at from the heaviest dumbbells to the comfy yoga mats. You can find Wet Germ Killing Towels and dry paper towels in every possible location of the gym. There is cardio equipment on all three levels of the gym. The Mens Locker is everything a gym locker room should be. Lock Room doors are always closed and lockers cleaned. The showers are always stocked with plenty of soap and there is a blow dryer available so you don't have to bring one from home. There are supplements galore and the shakes are to die for. There is something for everybody. Thanks Tappan Retro for being one of the best parts of my day!

Visited the gym for the first time this afternoon. Staff were great, friendly, welcoming and efficient. Gym was clean and most of the members wiped down equipment after using. Even tried a protein shake following the workout. Update04/14/24 It’s been months since my initial review. Love the gym. But the thing that truly differentiates this club from all other are the staff.

All newly upholstered equipment. Great job! Always was a friendly atmosphere here. Rates very reasonable. Thank you for the experience (hey, I used a buzzword, look at me!) and for helping a middle-aged fart keep in shape!

Great gym. Very clean. Wish they would add a sauna and/or steam room. Other than that it is perfect.

Retro FitnessTappan is a very well kept facility. The equipment is maintained and they have numerous types to choose from for your work out. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend Retro to anyone looking to join a gym.
