LA Fitness

As of today, July 18, 8 machines were out of order. The hot tub has been closed, lockers are missing doors, machine chairs are taped together when falling apart, the mini locks to hold your keys haven’t been in operation for over 2 months. The staff are so kind, but the place is an absolute dump & never taken care of.

The place was deserted when I walked in, and I thought, "Wow, this is great!" Within 10 minutes I realized why. I came just to use the sauna, and was surprised to discover that this particular location has a co-ed one. It was huge, but barely tepid. What a disappointment. And I had to walk through the pool area to get there, which I usually avoid, because of extremely poor air quality, which seemed worse than usual here. (Who wants to inhale chlorine gas?) An inordinate number of lockers were missing doors, which I suppose didn't matter, since enrollment is undoubtedly very low here. Overall, stopping into the Bay Shore LA Fitness was a huge waste of my time! I'll continue to be a member, but don't think I'll ever visit this location again.

Jose was extremely helpful. Immaculate and clean facility. Approachable and friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend. My mother recently joined and has felt very welcomed into the facility and loves to workout here.

I don't understand why they can't keep up with fixing the machines. Some of them are rusty and I've pinched my fingers a couple of times due to missing parts. I may have to find another gym. Edit: The Mgr Jose called me on account of my review. He was very friendly & professional. He explained some parts are on order. I appreciate that he listened to my concerns. I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 3, for the Mgr call, and will cont. to increase as positive changes occur. I believe LA Fitness needs to invest some funds into this gym to attract and keep their clientele, period full stop.

Chloe was absolutely amazing. She did everything she could to make sure I had a great experience and I would absolutely recommend anyone coming here to speak to her to sign up. 5 out of 5 stars and I truly don’t think that will change
