I first took advantage of their $30 for 30 days intro special when I saw they offered a Yin yoga class by Chris Ortega. Since then they've added a second class and I've become a member. If you are looking for a yoga studio that also includes a mindful and judgement free space, this is it. Yin yoga is a great way to ease yourself into practice if you haven't been practicing for a while or are new to yoga. Hopefully they'll add more of Chris' yin yoga to the schedule or maybe a meditation class led by him.

The classes are good and the prices are fair. However, they need to deep clean the facilities. When you walk in, it smells like man urine. And it gets even worse when walking into the hallway where the lockers are. It's pungent. The men's restroom is disgusting as well, I don't think it's been thoroughly cleaned for awhile and for a place to be sacred, it's doesn't feel safe to walk around bare foot. Not only this but a traditional Bikram Yoga class holds a temperature of 105°, one instructor prides himself in how high he puts the heat at 110° with little to no humidity. I had a severe heat rash all over my body and suffered 1st degree burns on my face. Just be careful ppl.

OH MY GOSH! Great studio! I have rediscovered Nirguna. Hadn't been in a few years just because it wasn't the closest studio to me, but I loved it when I went and I love it possibly more now! They are true to yoga practice and I feel like you don't only get the physical practice of yoga but also the mental engagement and some history and background. I am super interested in more than just the physicality of yoga but also the philosophy of it as a whole. Instructors often use the sanskrit words for poses in class (not only, but throw it in there more than I see at a lot of studios), they help guide you into deeper practice within poses and give you options. I love the studio. I feel like it isn’t all about the modern view of hot yoga and feel a lot of yoga classes I go to these days are just about the workout or getting a wild cardio burn and have lost the meaning of yoga practice. There is definitely a time and place for all of that, but I love that that isn’t the goal at this studio. Instructors are great! 10/10 recommend. -two studio rooms -Yoga teacher training available -As of writing this review 8/2024 they can be found/used with Fixmix •showers …. But only 2; this has never been an issue for me when I want to shower. •I will say the curtain to the women’s room is not my fav. There is a door, but it’s mostly always open. Review edited to be more objective :)

THE BEST experiences I have had at a yoga studio. I have been to yoga studios all over the country for the 20 years that I have been practicing. I recently finished 8 months of treatments for breast cancer. This road trip through Albequerque was my unwind and find my center following the end of my treatments. I started this review with experiences (plural) because there were multiple! Chris Ortega's Yin class was SUPURB. His delivery of instruction was steeped with genuine care. One could hear it in every word he spoke. And while holding a yin pose, his words were an additional healing element the sank deep into my muscles and joints. Scott Taylor's ropes class was an experience that was almost too beautiful for words. It was a smaller group and we all shared and talked.. but not in a small talk sort of way, in a really connecting way. I give credit to Scott for having pure and engaging hands-on care for everyone in that room. His care made us all feel safe and thus open up and truly connect with each other. Finally, and with hope that my humble words can do justice.. Robin Ramsey's Astanga and Mysore classes.. I had thought that I had to go to India for what Robin offers as a yoga teacher. Her knowledge is expert level. Her investment in her students is obvious in the intense focus of the yogis in her classes! And her hands-on adjustments were kind and exactly what I needed for the deep healing that I am embarking on after my bilateral mastectomy (and all that comes with that both physically and emotionally). I had spontaneous gratitude-filled tears for each of these 3 human beings that are gifts to me in my life. I am VERY tempted to relocate to Albuquerque to study yoga at Nirguna.

UPDATED REVIEW!! I changed my initial one star review to a four star after the owner kindly reached out to me after our negative experience. The email was thoughtful and I appreciated the care that was taken to try to make things right for my mom and I. I had to give this business a one star not due to the facilities or the practice but for the way my mom and I were treated by the instructor Emma at the 0800 hot yoga practice. We arrived at 0758 and I apologized for not being early as my mom and I were first timers to this studio. I told her if she could not accommodate due to our lateness that would be okay! She continued to check us in. Due to her choice to check us in class started at 0806. At the beginning of class she told the fellow students how sorry she was that some people didn’t value other people’s time and wasted it by being late. She thanked everyone else for being on time to class. This was obviously directed at my mom and I which made the rest of the practice slightly awkward for my mom who is very shy and polite. I think as a business this rudeness is completely uncalled for. My mom and I were going to sign up for your 5 class package but I refuse to pay for anything more than the one class. My mom did fall in love with Deloris who teaches at 1000. She was so kind to my mom and I hurrying to get us mats and towels and telling my mom about other classes that were more on her level that she could take as this hot yoga was a little hard for her. Exceptional, sweet, kind attitude which is what I’ve become accustomed to in my yoga practice. Hope this helps!
