If you’re looking for swimming, this is one of the worst managed swimming lessons. Individual lessons: My kid had individual session and each day a new trainer will take the lesson and didn’t even know what was thought in previous classes. They asked the kid what was thought in previous lessons and go by that. How would they expect a 7 year old to explain everything thought in previous lessons. Believe me, it was a session with five classes and each class was handled by a new trainer. Group session: Then I switched to group sessions. It’s even more pathetic. They cancel classes randomly but won’t have the common sense to inform us. We drive up there and then they will say it’s cancelled. For the cancelled classes, they will schedule the makeup classes on a time when kids can’t even go. They rescheduled couple of makeup class by 4 pm on a weekday and by that time kids wouldn’t even reach home from school. Instead of refunding us the money for cancelled class, they schedule it untime so that nobody will come anyway and now it’s on us that we didn’t attend. Honestly, it’s managed by people with no experience on how classes work and no knowledge of what their responsibilities are. It’s more like a scam, where classes are scheduled in a way we will be forced to miss it and it’s now on us because we didn’t attend the class. Shame on YMCA!

Great facility, kind staff members, lots to utilize. My only issue stems from the pool constantly being occupied by a swim team. Even at other YMCA’s they will at least close off a lane so family swim can last longer than an hour and a half on SUNDAYS? Weekends when families want to take their littles to swim. I guess I can understand the time slots being so taken up on weekdays by the student swimmers but it feels like a lack of care on your part when paying members don’t get to utilize the pool on the weekends for longer than an hour at least. I can’t tell you how many times my husband and I have wanted to come in to take our toddler swimming and of course, swim time is during his nap time or swim time is at a certain time we can’t go. Thankfully the Princeton community pool is now open but this issue is very disappointing in the winter when you just want to take your toddler swimming without being on a tight strict schedule with the shortest window of time.

I worked with Elise Tatum today when walked in looking for assistance with membership. I have been confused about signing up for the YMCA and what the benefits are for my family. Elise clarified everything for me and patiently answered all my questions. I’m excited to finally be a member of the YMCA and get my children rooted within this community!

The local Y has been providing services for single parents like myself for decades, I went to their sports camp as a child, my son continues to go to camps. They offer a lot of options. they also offer basketball and judo for the little ones. I asked that members of the community support this place as much as possible we need it. they have such a great and caring staff.

The Princeton YMCA is a welcoming community, and offers a variety of exercise options - classes for all levels of fitness, workout equipment, and a swimming pool, which offers lap swimming and classes for children, teens, and adults. My preferred activity is the exercise classes, and the teachers are great!
