I trained at NJMA over the summer and really enjoyed my experience here! The coaches, Marco and Bill, always gave detailed instruction with various situational nuances. It was clear that they love what they do, and are committed to effectively training their students. They really pushed everyone to put forth their best effort and I felt that there was a collective drive to improve. I also appreciated that I had great training partners who were dedicated and hardworking. I recommend this gym for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and improve their grappling!

I recently began training at New Jersey Mixed Martial Arts and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and it shows in their teaching style. The facility is clean and well-equipped, making it a comfortable and safe environment to train in. I've already seen improvements in my skills and fitness level after just a few classes. I highly recommend NJMA to anyone looking to learn martial arts, improve their fitness, or just try something new. It's definitely worth the investment in yourself.

My boyfriend and I went to an open mat here and had a great time. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We got some really good rolls in and worked up a good sweat. Thank you, Marco, for allowing us to roll with you guys! We will be back!

I have two kids, ages 7 and 5, currently enrolled at NJMA. My daughter started the kids' class at 5.5 years old, and my younger son has recently joined. NJMA has been a wonderful experience for both of them, and for me as a parent, watching their growth in skills, focus, and confidence both on and off the mat. They work hard and have a lot of fun. What I appreciate most about NJMA is its safe and supportive environment. When my daughter began, she was the youngest and smallest student, but the other kids were incredibly encouraging. The instructors emphasize that it's not about being the best or the fastest; it's about learning, improving, and respecting others. If you’ve already heard how great jiu jitsu is and want your child to learn or you’re just looking for a fun and challenging activity for your active kid(s), I highly recommend NJMA.

This is a great school. After two years of attending, I can say it’s been an excellent choice for learning self-defense and staying active. I explored several martial arts schools in the area, including karate, taekwondo, and Jeet Kune Do before choosing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Muay Thai for their practical self-defense and fitness benefits. I decided on this gym after the positive experience with the free trial classes. Marco was very accommodating, and instructors Bill and Jen were both friendly and knowledgeable. The support and hospitality from instructors and fellow students continue to be outstanding. I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in learning BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA or pursuing an active lifestyle to come check out this school. Last weekend, I competed in my second local BJJ tournament, and Marco, the head coach, came out to coach and support me. What made it extra special was, it was even though I was the only one from our school competing. His commitment to his students is evident, and the support he provides is consistent with what we experience in class. I came from a sedentary lifestyle to competing in combat sport tournaments, thanks to what I learned from this school, and the support I receive from the instructors and fellow students.
