If you want your child to have fun, build confidence and learn new skills this is the place for you. This is the epitome of a mom and pop run business where "everybody knows your name" True story: I grew up going here as well as my entire family. This was 30 years ago. When I had my own kids and moved back to the area we tried another gymnastics place, but my son was young and this place was very strict and unforgiving for kids who didn't want to do exactly as told. So I came back to Elite and I'm glad I did!! When I saw the owner, Mike, and told him who I was he remembered everyone in my family by name and the town we grew up in. I couldn't believe it!!! The teachers will not break your child's spirit down. They are kind and yes some of them are young, but I have never felt that my kids were ever endangered. We have been coming here for the past 4 years now and my kids have done swim (awesome small classes), ninja and gymnastics. As far as one person's complaint on cultural diversity, I am a minority and have never felt discriminated against. Northern New Jersey is generally not very diverse. And I would rather teachers chosen for their skill and not their diversity. When my sister did team here 30 years ago the head coach was African American and widely respected by all. She taught here for many years. And I have to address the complaint for stretching time. ANYONE who has ever studied any exercise physiology would advise that people spent at least 15 minutes warming up before doing any type of rigorous or flexible exercise. In fact, if the upper levels did not spend at least 15 minutes stretching before doing things like back handsprings, it would significantly increase the child's chances of injuring themselves. It would be irresponsible. I do not receive anything for writing this review. But I don't think a couple of bad apples should represent a business that is run by a hard working family that takes every complaint very personally.

I taught swim lessons there from 2013 to 2020 before moving to Florida. I loved teaching there and I visit whenever I am in NJ!

I am disgusted with this gym my granddaughter had her first try out today mind you she’s 4yrs old and autistic and just wants to be as normal as normal is now days When we first got there the lady at the desk was very nice and explained everything also informed me that she told the teacher about my granddaughter so I was more than satisfied with that once it was time to start the class the teacher automatically discriminated against my granddaughter before she could even start anything the teacher comes in talking about I don’t know if I can work with her because I’m by myself before she even got a chance to know my granddaughter like every other child my granddaughter jumped on the trampoline and she said no we don’t do that here than proceeded to tell us she will walk us to the front to get our money back because the class was more structured and not for my granddaughter “ I would like to let them know my granddaughter goes to school she is autistic but that does not dictait who she is or what she can do she goes to school she is very smart loving and respectful but all this teacher saw was an autistic shy child trying to fit in with the other 3 little girls which there was a nanny there that seen everything happen and was shocked how my granddaughter was singled out for having a disability shame on that teacher for not giving a special needs child a chance to fit in by no means is this okay I plan on going above and beyond for what was done to my daughter and the way she was singled out for having a disability.

My children LOVE this gym. It is such a great place for them to get their energy out, have fun, and meet new friends. The workers truly treat their costumers as family and ensure everyone an easily great time. And my kids can't stop talking about their favorite gymnastics teacher, I believe her name was Shannon. My kids also enjoy the summer camp, it's convenient for me to drop them off in the morning and still leave time to enjoy the rest of the day together.

I regretfully enrolled my daughter in Elite Gymnastics with hopes of providing her with a positive gymnastics experience. However, my experience with this academy has been nothing short of disappointing. The unprofessional staff, rude front desk, inexperienced instructors, and lack of effective communication have made this a regrettable choice. To begin with, the staff at Elite displayed a concerning lack of professionalism. The front desk, which should be the first point of contact for assistance, consistently displayed a lack of respect and patience when approached with questions. The instructors at Elite gymnastics proved to be inexperienced teenagers who were ill-equipped to handle the responsibilities of teaching gymnastics. It was disheartening to witness the lack of knowledge and skill exhibited by these instructors. It raised concerns about the quality of training being offered and the safety and quality of the training being provided. Communication at Elite was a major letdown. The academy failed to prioritize effective and timely communication with parents. Important information, such as schedule changes or event details, was neither emailed to parents nor posted on their website. This lack of communication made it difficult for parents to stay informed, adding unnecessary stress and confusion to an already frustrating experience. As a concerned parent, I strongly believe that a gymnastic academy should prioritize professionalism, experienced instructors, and clear communication channels with parents. Sadly, this academy fell short in all these areas, leading to an incredibly unsatisfactory experience for my daughter and our family. Considering my personal experience, I cannot recommend Elite Gymnastics to any parents seeking a reliable and supportive gymnastics program for their children.
