As a parent whose son had struggled with social anxiety and had a difficult time fitting in with kids his own age, I can vividly recall the sense of surprise and relief I felt when I first brought him to this exceptional facility. From the moment we stepped through the doors, his coach, as well as  the more experienced older students in the class quickly took him under their wing, welcoming him with open arms and making him feel right at home. They went out of their way to include him in drills, offer guidance and advice, and ensure he was comfortable and confident as he began his grappling journey. The camaraderie and sense of community among the students was palpable, with the seasoned grapplers taking genuine pride in nurturing the development of the newer members. It was clear this was not just a gym where people came to train - it was a tight-knit martial arts family, bound together by a shared passion for the sport. And at the heart of it all are the coaches, whose supportive, encouraging demeanor and evident love for what they do is truly inspiring. You can tell they aren't in it for the money or the glory, but rather to pass down their extensive knowledge and help each student reach their full potential on the mats. Their infectious enthusiasm and commitment to their craft is a major part of what maks the atmosphere in this facility so welcoming and special. With the experienced students and dedicated instructors working in tandem, my son quickly found himself immersed in a supportive, encouraging environment that allowed him to rapidly improve his skills and truly fall in love with the art of grappling. We have been with Snake Pit for a little of a year(we have previously tried 2 other schools) and have nothing but an amazing experience from day 1. Head Coach, Joel Bane, has been an amazing asset in our childrens growth in the sport. There is an amazing staff of coaches that pour their knowledge in to the students at the academy and their expertise shows. I love that we can attended as many (or as little) of the kids classes for the same price. If you are serious about learning and growing in MMA this is absolutely the best in the area!

Coach Joel Bane and his academy is truly one of a kind. The way he teaches techniques and breaks down the steps is truly remarkable. His attention to detail is unparalleled and his work ethnic is second to none. Each class feels like a seminar. Cannot recommend enough.

My son loves his coaches and the atmosphere the crew brings to the table. His dedication to his craft is a testament of what the Coaches leadership provides. We love it.

I started my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Catch Wrestling journey along side my son at the Snake Pit USA gym for the obvious 40 year old reasons. And I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. I’m training under two Amazing Coaches , Coach Bane and Coach Dale whose knowledge and passion for teaching Catch Wrestling and BJJ has me hooked. I’m doing things I never thought I was capable of doing and it’s really just the tip of the iceberg. Everyday I walk in there i become a little bit better , I feel better and I leave knowing that the more I show up and put in the work the better I will be and happier I will be. I need the motivation and drive and these Coaches deliver every bit of it. There’s nothing in the world like having Coaches and training partners who want to help you become the best you can be on and off the mats. I am extremely grateful to be apart of the Snake Pit Family!
