Palisadium Swim & Gym

I was very pleased to see that with new ownership there has been a lot of improvement with cleanliness. The showers and locker rooms are extremely clean. The pool also is always being cleaned. They have a great set of music to do gym with and the machines work fine. The lifeguard William is really friendly and helpful.

My experience at the Palisadium Swimming pool has overall been very positive. The pool is beautiful and overlooks the NYC skyline. Our lifeguards have all been super nice, esp William, who is helpful and kind. The locker area and shower have been clean and bright. My only complaints are the many broken lockers and that the electrical outlets for the hair dryers have been out of commission for over a month—PLEASE REPAIR!! I’m in the pool for an hour 5 days a week, with a quick steam after, and it’s a great way to start the day!

I’ve been a member since 7/2024. If you love swimming as much as I do there are no other places like this one. Water’s temperature and quality remain perfect. And the two saunas are the additional features that add pleasure to the active swimmers. And I want to add positive comments on Eddie and Juya who are my swimming coaches. They are amazing skilled instructors truly dedicated to teaching swimming. As a seasoned physician in rheumatology and integrative medicine I strongly recommend swimming to every one of all ages to enjoy longevity and wellbeing. I also find staffs very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist you. Thank you Palisadium and it’s staffs: Since I found this healing facility my life took a dramatic turn for the better Two thumbs up 👍👌😊

Be aware that this facility - for valid reasons I am sure - do not allows children below 5 years old. So if you are looking for a place to bring your under 5 year old child you need to look elsewhere, after they turn 5 years old, would you then come here ? probably not, you might as well stay in a facility that is able to handle lower age specially if you have other other children that are not 5 years old. Consider taking the ferry and crossing to Manhattan, there are several pools that welcome families with children's below the age of 5.

Coach Juya and William have been amazing swim coaches for my 5-year-old! They are patient, encouraging, and know how to make learning fun. My child has gained so much confidence in the water thanks to their guidance. Highly recommend.
