The Edge Fitness Clubs

The equipment here is pretty good, the gym I feel like is more for advanced gymrats they do have a little bit of everything. Free movies in their cinema room. They have personal trainers that come with your membership which is awesome! And they even have free classes you can join. The water filter water tastes like chlorine. This location does seem a little understaff but staff is always helpful.

I’ve been coming to this gym for more than 2 years and unfortunately that is coming to an end. For more than 2 years I’ve experienced the worst general upkeep to any gym I’ve ever been to. Equipment goes down and stays down entirely too long, there’s really no excuse that would actually make sense as to why. The gym is insanely overcrowded majority of the time and the lack of culture is a true reflection of the free for all mentality passed down from management through the staff to the customers. You walk in and nobody acknowledges you or greets you and at times there are maybe 5 people behind the front counter. It’s clear that there is a mentality that “the gym only costs $15 a month what do you expect”? & that’s exactly what you get. You get a very cheap price point for a very high level of frustration for devoted customers looking for reliability and consistency. It’s a shame. This gym could be so much more if they adopted some type of disciplined structure that showed the members they are valued, and an effort to maintain the gym itself. The sauna goes down at least once a month and honestly that’s one of the biggest selling point this gym offers. The toilets are constantly going down and taking too long to get repaired, which is probably a violation of some type of health code given capacities. There’s always a shower that runs with bad leaks that they couldn’t seem to care to get a simple plumber in and take care of things. When repairs are being made, it comes during hours of operations which is an even bigger inconvenience to the members already dealing with all the inconveniences I’ve mentioned. The gym closes earlier, and remains closed through the night longer then others in the area, I can’t figure out for the life of me why they don’t take advantage of the down time to get things fixed. This is all just such a poor reflection of ownership and management. It screams bare minimum. Such a shame.

Many, if not most, of the cardio machines don't have the TV working or just don't work at all. It's been over a year that one particular machine has been broken. The other nearby Edge gyms have better TV channels. Bad enough that Cherry Hill cardio has many cardio machines with broken TVs but the ones that do work have very limited channels. Other area Edge have same issue.

What a joke of an establishment. More equipment down then I’ve ever experienced at any other gym, for longer periods of time as well. The sauna bench seating is constantly falling apart, and the heating component never works properly. This gym takes on way too many memberships without maintaining proper general upkeep. It just doesn’t make sense with the amount of money flowing in here. Crazy to have to deal with this type of service consistently.

I really hate writing bad reviews... but, I have tried cancelling my membership repeatedly over the past year. You have to fill out a specific form to cancel - you cannot just write an email or call or anything convenient. Completed the form, returned it.. months later still getting charged. This gym is pretty good, but unfortunately it is just another gym that makes it too difficult to cancel.
