Cosens Grand Blanc has been a great place for me to fulfill my physical fitness needs. At 37 years old I am challenged at each lesson and have loved every class. As a former wrestler, the grappling has been my favorite part of class. Coaches Roberts, Crimi and Lawson are passionate about the sport and clearly love what they do. The lessons fit all skill levels from novice to expert (young to old) and will teach you the necessary skills in basic self defense. If you are looking for a challenge, fun time, and camaraderie , Cosens is the place to be.

Going into this class I thought it would be more directed towards kids but I was far off. They have great energy it pushes me to become better with not only self discipline but my own physical endurance. I have learned so much from this class and have improved majorly. I am looking forward to continuing with Cosens and I recommend this to all adults of any ages as it is suitable to all.

We've been at Cosen's for over a year now and the self discipline in my 5yr old is astronomical. The best coaching staff that interacts and knows each student on a personal level.

My son started at Cosens in April of 2022. He has grown so much, physically, mentally and emotionally. He has learned self discipline and amazing character development. All of the coaches are so patient with him and always want to see him grow as a martial artist and as an individual. We are blessed to be a part of the Cosens family! That is exactly what you become once you join, you are a apart of their family and they come along side of you to help your child on this journey of life!

My 8yr old daughter has requested to no longer attend Cosens-Grand Blanc. Unfortunately, she loves karate and just does not feel that she has gotten what she needs from the class since Palmer and King left. She felt those coaches were more Hands-On and if a student made a mistake it was corrected. The coach is there now are not so much Hands-On, Hardly correct any mistakes. My daughter has worked hard to get where she's at with karate but unfortunately this place just does not suffice. There are a couple kids in her class that do nothing but mess around with other kids, joke off, don't listen to the coaches hardly and somehow a higher belts even though showing up 1-2 classes/month! I have. Video proof! So if you just want your kid to move up in a belt all you have to do is pay for it. They're not putting in the hard work as they should be. We have actually started her somewhere completely different and she has fallen back in love with karate because of the coaches! I recommend searching other karate places because $200 a month for a basic class is unrealistic. She now does Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai 2 days a week for each class for less than $150!
