My kids started training under coach Mike Zichelle back in 2021. I decided to join after seeing how amazing the people and culture were. As a mid-30s career professional (with zero experience of martial arts of any kind), I was welcomed in and assured a safe and go at my own pace environment. Having started my journey training GI Jiu-Jitsu in October 2022 I have since earned my Blue-Belt and look forward to any/all days I can take a class or show up for open mat. Personally speaking, I didn't realize how much I needed Jiu-Jitsu in my life, now it's a permanent part of my identity and a sport I continue to practice with passion and motivation to keep learning. This gym is amazing! Mike Zichelle is not only a great coach, but an overall great person! He truly cares about each and every person who is in the gym training. He is very calm and gentle with the kids, constantly reassuring them and building their self confidence. He also ensures that they are respectful not only at the gym, but in the community, school and home. It is a family atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Everyone at this gym eagerly helps each other when training, no matter the age or experience level. Definitely the best place to train!

I’m so grateful I found Mikey and this gym. It has brought so many positive changes into my life ever since I started. I grew up as an athlete, I loved playing sports, but after finishing school I need something other than weight lifting. As soon as you walk in that door you can feel the sense of community, love, and hard work that’s happening here. My Son and I have been training here for years. It is an amazing gym. Coach Mike runs great classes and takes time to help everyone. When my son started in 5th grade he was getting bullied at school. Mike could not have been more supportive, he really spent a lot of time to get to know and help him. Now my son is in high school and is able to defend himself. He loves it here and really loves Coach Mike. I am really grateful I found this place.

Simply the best. From the day I walked in Mikey has always provided a safe and encouraging environment for me and my family. I have been training here for a little over 2 years now. My oldest son also trains here and most recently my wife started to train here in the women's only class. Everyone is welcoming and supportive. Mikey's passion for his students and his academy radiates. His enthusiasm is contagious. His energy is unmatched.
