The coaching and workouts at union street have really helped my overall athleticism. As a high school sophomore, the coaching from Tom has extended to improvement in my other sports, making me a better athlete overall. The gym itself is great, and the people are really inclusive. It even caters to young kids looking for a new sport to try. It’s a great place for beginners and pros alike.

Started training again with Tom, the owner, after a couple years of not having had any boxing training at all and I gotta say it’s been going great so far. He’s super understanding and puts the right amount of pressure on you but without going over your limit where he knows you can’t handle it. It’s definitely different and a bit more challenging being a girl in the boxing world but i find it easier if you actually enjoy doing it. I never leave the gym without feeling accomplished and like I learned something different whether it’s about technique or about myself. Haven’t felt this great about myself in longest time. Absolutely recommend Union Street boxing everybody is always there to help u and available and definitely worth your while

A little about me: I’m a pretty out of shape guy, always have been (6’2”, about 280 for reference). Never been an athlete, never been in a fight, never really enjoyed exercise ever. That is, not until I started working w Tom and the folks at Union St. For the first time in my life, I’ve really looked forward to my sessions here. I’ve never felt judged, out of place, or lesser than just because I’m struggling with the routines. Tom pushes me to do my best, not someone else’s. He tailors the class to fit my fitness level and has been nothing but incredibly patient and understanding with me. This is a gym where courtesy, kindness and respect hold a lot of value. It’s a phenomenal place to begin your journey into fitness if you’re like me and it’s a phenomenal place to learn the sport of boxing (did I mention that Tom is a two time Golden Glove winner AND a hall of fame boxing coach? He’s the real deal, believe it). If you’re questioning or if you’re intimidated, trust me: just try it. There’s no minimums here, no level you need to be at in order to start. Walk in, and watch it begin to seriously make positive change in your life.

Great environment to be in. The coach (Tom) is extremely helpful with whether you want to take that career path of becoming a fighter, or just get a good sweat out. I walked into this gym thinking I was going to get the bare minimum attention, but when I told him that I was dedicated to become a pro fighter one day, he dedicated every morning and afternoon of his time to help me get there. If you’re serious about boxing or want to get in shape, Union Street is definitely the gym to check out.

Brought my kid there (17) very shy. She wanted to work out some aggression and stress in a safe healthy way, she chose boxing. Tom, the dude who runs the place, he is dialed in! Works with all ages, all abilities. When she walked into the gym, he zoned in, spoke to her with finesse, and really comforted her into in amazing opportunity. I'm proud of her, and I'm amazed by Tom! If she doesn't stick it out and wants to do something else, I am confident she will have learned principles from Tom That she will apply in many other areas of life. Thanks Tom!
