LA Fitness

I just joined LA fitness recently in the past 3 months and it is by far the best gym I have been in! My favorite thing about this gym is how clean the women’s bathrooms is which is wayyyyyyyy better compared to the other gyms I have visited in the past year! One of the custodial members (tall, man, beard, plus sized with glasses) I didn’t get his name but he did a great job at making sure the area was clean during workouts! And very polite too! I always try to come to the gym between 3:45PM or an hour before they close and it’s always the best experience! Keep up the good work!

This location is the best! Great variety and number of equipment. I never have to wait on exercise equipment. All of the staff is very courteous and professional!! Glad that I selected LA Fitness Owings Mills out of all the gyms that I visited in the area.

I was a former trainer here at La Fitness in Owings mills. I left on my own terms just last week. I wasn’t going to post anything and let things go peacefully…. However that changed when they tried to steal from me. My last day was the 21st, last Tuesday, we were just not seeing eye to eye. After being cordial and telling them I would finish these last 2 weeks…. Dan, the VP, spoke over speaker phone attempting to defame me because I told people I was leaving. After this “meeting”, that was my last day. Now I trained 4 clients that day with proof of all 4… however they were sneaky and took a client off my schedule. That is stealing…. So future applicants beware! They are shady with how they may adjust whats on your schedule and then conveniently not how to fix it afterward. I was told to call hr today… which I have done. But gym is poorly run, with managers who match the setting. Things are constantly broken and unkept from cardio equipment to resistance machines . Marcia, one of the managers harasses members and employees not named Cliff and “affa” (longest tenured trainers because no one else wants to stay here). While working there, various members mentioned how they did not appreciate how Marica talked to them. The training “program” is horrible DO NOT WASIT YOUR MONEY! They only sell 25 minute sessions and expect you, the member, to get the rest of the work. However you are paying for that full hour (aka the program). I had various members end their program because they did not know they only had 25 minutes with me. Very unprofessional bunch, a very unkept Gym, and a bs training “program”. Good riddance!

A lot of the stair-steppers are broken. So 2/5 machines working. These clubs are carefree when it comes to repair and maintenance of the equipment. But seemingly they never miss a payment. How does that work? It’s not fulfilling their bargain in this agreement for service. It’s beyond irritating. Might as well post how many machines you have working so I can go somewhere with better odds. #Epicfail

The location is perfect. The staff are nice. Most of the equipment has rust which can make it hard to adjust to the weight I need. Each time I come in, there are numerous treadmills with buttons missing but still work. For over a month, a few of the sit down bikes had no straps for your feet. The water fountain upstairs is not working at this time. I could come here at the time of opening and it will still have a bad smell. I opt for the Severn location when I can because I would rather drive 25min for the LA fitness there because it smells clean, and it has more equipment that is not rusted. The fitness class selections here in owings mills are great though. I wish the this facility would email the members of this gym what they are doing to better the equipment and fix things around here. I would be more understanding and probably wouldn’t have written this review.
