Life Time

12/30/24 - now that I've been here past the honeymoon stage (😂), I'm downgrading this to a 4 star for good for the following reasons. 1. the mixed martial arts area where I like to work out often is usually very dusty and grimy. Several times I've had to ask people to step off the mat (men and women) for not taking their shoes off as the signs indicate. The Lifetime staff really needs to communicate this better to members and clean and vacuum the mat more frequently. 2. The hot tubs are often closed due to maintenance. This should be addressed properly. 3. People are showing their true selves more as time goes on (e.g. I've had to ask people several times to get out of my swimming lane because they got in my lane and started swimming without asking if I am ok with sharing a lane first). Overall, it is still a nice place to work out with great amenities. I still recommend this place if you need a good place to work out. ‐------ 7/26/24 - they've taken immediate actions on my feedback! Some things are still not addressed, but most of it is a result of things outside of the control of the Lifetime staff. Bumping back up to 5 stars as a result. I am looking forward to staying a member for a lifetime. And I'm 🙏 that it lasts for a very, very, very long time. ----- 7/24/24 - now that I've been here regularly for a while, docking a star for some minor issues, such as dirty floors on the 3rd floor mixed martial arts area, miss matched weights/ equipment, and worn down treadmills. Still a great place, but not a 5 in my eyes. ---- This is the perfect fitness center that I've found in the DMV. In the words of the owner: "Life Time Gaithersburg is more than a gym, it's an athletic country club. Life Time has something for everyone: an expansive fitness floor, unlimited studio classes, basketball courts, eucalyptus steam rooms, and indoor and outdoor pools. Receive unlimited group training and individualized attention when you choose a Signature Membership." It's so true! People are phenomenal, equipment is top of the line, and hours are unparalleled (Mon - Fri 4am - 12 am, Sat - Sun 5am - 11pm). Come check it out; you won't be disappointed.

We absolutely love the Lifetime Athletic Kids Academy, and it has been such a positive experience for our family! My child looks forward to going every week, and a huge part of that is thanks to Ms. Mary. She is such a gem—kind, patient, and truly dedicated to the kids. Ms. Mary has gone above and beyond to make sure every child feels special and cared for. Whether it's engaging them in creative activities, helping them build confidence, or simply making them laugh, she has a natural gift for connecting with kids. My child comes home glowing, eager to share all the fun they had, and they always mention how much they enjoy spending time with Ms. Mary. It’s clear that she genuinely loves what she does, and it shines through in how she treats each child like they’re her own. We’re so grateful for the care and attention she gives, and it gives us such peace of mind to know that our child is in such capable hands. Thank you, Ms. Mary, and the entire team at Lifetime Athletic Kids Academy for creating such a nurturing and fun environment. You all make such a difference, and we can’t recommend this program enough!

I absolutely love this gym and so do my kids, they absolutely love the kids academy! The workers are always so accommodating to my kids and they all seem like they genuinely enjoy the kids (which I know can be hard sometimes). A lot of them seem like high schoolers so it’s awesome to see them have fun with my kids. Only reason for loosing one star is that the manager of the kids academy, Dan Fisher, needs some serious retraining. Every single time I’ve tried to call or ask for something, I will get the same answer of “I’ll get back to you” and he never does! He never seems like he knows what’s going on and can be a little abrasive with you. Caitlin, the assistant manager, is always hands on and seems like she does most of the work! Otherwise the kids academy has been a lifesaver for me when I need to have some alone time or enjoy a class. 100% recommend!

This write up is from a month or so ago, but nothing has changed, despite multiple attempts to get management atten. . This club is in decline. The amenities don't work as often as they work. Both the men's and women's steam rooms were out of order again today. The outdoor spa has been broken for at least three weeks. By the time it is fixed it will be winter. The men's spa is also not working. The towels are old and harsh. The shower heads have no pressure. Today there was a fire alarm. The notification said nothing of the kids in the kids club, so the parents had to fight the traffic descending the stairs to get there, only to find out that the kids were being evacuated down the back stairwell without informing the parents. They evacuation announcement said nothing of the kids. Lifetime manages to inform me of every new way they think they can make money off of me, both with app notifications and email, but can't do the bare minimum during what could have been an emergency. As soon as I check in I hear about the cafe and salon options. Do better.

I love lifetime it's always so clean and staff are super friendly. I especially love the life spa and going to master esthetician Jeanette! She is so wonderful and I won't let anyone else do my skincare or waxing ever after going to her. She has a passion for what she does and it really shows. Everytime I have a service done by her it's always amazing. Shoutout to you Jeanette!!
