We found Myth Parkour while looking for an alternative to gymnastics for my young son who wanted to take a class and learn "cool moves". Our experience with Myth have exceeded my wildest expectations in both education, safety, and overall experience. The instructors are personable, kind, and experts in parkour and free running. Bryce and Justin have always gone out of their way to work with students to help them hone their skills and have fun while doing it in both the kids and homeschool group classes. Because of this, I've seen not only an improvement in my son's coordination and athleticism but also his focus and ability to switch tasks as required in classes. In addition to classes, the camps he has attended have been fun, informative, and some of the best experiences of his life (he's already talking about signing up again next year). I'm so glad to have found such an inclusive, fun, and educational place!

Update: Justin and his team made sure that we talked today, and they were very gracious in their communication. They addressed my concerns, recognized where improvements could be made, and asked how they could best engage with my son. They exemplified accountability and personal responsibility, and I feel confident that my son will have a great time with positive role models. We were excited about this camp for our son because they have cool equipment and it seems to be the only parcour gym in the area. That being said, the most important thing to me is the people actually leading the camp, especially for children. Today, one of the camp counselors bent my 6 year old son's wrist backward in anger until he cried. I witnessed the whole thing. It was sudden and aggressive. He did not practice self-control, something that I believe that those working with children should embody. The person in charge was more interested in backing up his employee than addressing the situation. He said that when someone plays too rough with a dog, they can nip, but the problem is that the camp counselor is not a dog. He is a grown person who is responsible for his actions. They did not check in with my son to see if he was ok. My son wants to try going back again tomorrow, and I hope that he has a good day. I hope that this review does not make the employees there treat him poorly, but I wanted to post this review because under NO circumstance should the people in charge there hurt kids or lash out in anger, and they should be accountable when they make a mistake.

Updated review: To me, the sign of a good business is one that acknowledges mistakes and grows from them. My wife was able to talk to the manager at Myth and we feel much better about their training and how they will handle issues like this in the future. Original review: My 6 year old son is in their camp. One of the camp counselors was rough housing with my son and didn't properly communicate that he wanted to stop. When my son kept playing with him, he eventually became frustrated and bent my 6 year old son's wrist back until my son started crying. This was a teenage counselor. My wife witnessed the whole thing and when she talked to his manager, the manager compared the situation to playing with a dog and said, "dogs nip when threatened." This place might be good at parkour, but shouldn't run camps for children. None of them are properly trained to deal with kids.
