I want to say there’s nothing wrong with this gym, if you’re looking for a basic place to lift. Especially if you’re new to lifting. The staff is nice. The bathroom/locker room is clean. And it has a sauna. However, the place is a little sleepy. Don’t forget your headphones because they insist on playing music that doesn’t belong in an elevator. Have you ever been to a Fred Meyer and asked yourself, what would possess them to play this music?…? I think the person in charge of the music selection at Fred Meyer is the same person responsible for the music selection at Idaho fitness factory. Additionally their weights and machines are rather limited. Perfectly fine for a novice, but not for someone looking for variety. No calf machine (seated or standing, only seated hamstring curls (but they dont’t have the good kind. The best seated hamstring curl machine is the Roc-It, which has the shin pad so your hamstrings are isolated) no ergonomic shoulder press, no peck deck, no inverted leg press, I don’t think they have a hack squat, only horizontal leg press.

Been going here for about 2 years now. This IFF is my favorite location by far. No employees around, gym is always clean. Love this place.

All new equipment. Hack squat and sled style leg press. Awesome cable machine and 125lbs dumbbells. Hot sauna in each rest room and a friendly staff. Could use some 35lb plates and square foam pads like the other locations but over all if I lived closer this would be my main IFF

Pros: probably the best gym for the best price in the whole valley. All around great gym. Cons: everyone knows it's the best gym and therefore everyone goes here. Very crowded.

The Good: The nice new equipment is awesome, they have so many great machines and plenty of free weights. We actually drive an extra 5 minutes to go to this location instead of our usual IFF. It's usually pretty busy around peak hours, but ive never had to wait for a machine or anything. The BAD: It is SO HOT all the time. It really feels like there is zero airflow inside the building. I think there's only like 5 total fans on the ceiling and they are very small. I dont know if its the saunas in the bathrooms causing extra humidity or what, but theres some days where we just dont go to this location because we dont want to be extra hot while we workout. I've never been to a gym thats this hot and stuffy. Maybe that will change when it gets colder outside, but there is still zero airflow or air movement inside. I hope they can fix this because i love this gym but its just so hard sometimes.
