We hosted a 10 year old birthday party here and Phil and Matt were amazing hosts! Many of the parents commented that it was the best birthday party they have been to. The kids were so eager to learn and try fencing and it was all around fun. My son is more interested in fencing than ever! My only wish was that they were closer!

An awesome facility, great and caring coaches and an overall wonderful community- that is DFC. Unlike some other clubs in town, they teach all 3 weapons and have great regional as well as national level tournaments. I would especially recommend it to any parent looking at fencing for their kids.

I always look forward to going to practice here. All of the teachers, staff, and teammates here get along so, so well and the community that we have here is amazing. Not to mention the amount of skill and strength I've gained over the past 10 months. I can feel myself becoming a better fencer every time that I go. The friendships and relationships that I've made with the people here are extremely important to me for I seem to get along with everybody. From friendships to fencing, all around a great place.

I don’t care what that one star has to say. I have been fencing at this facility for a year and love it. I have not personally had any problems. A note about SafeSport is the fact that mistakes happen in almost every aspects of sports training and they may or may not be dealt with. The point is because a facility is held to a higher standard unlike many other sports training places, it provides a chance to make sure concerns are heard and change is made. SafeSport issues of this level should not be used to harass or defame a business especially when much more serious incidents happen at locations that are not regulated by SafeSport. If it was a higher level incident I would not be saying anything. I just wonder if the person running their mouth truly understands the point of it. By the way if you read the privacy notification at the bottom of the picture on the review, you will notice that it specifically says not for distribution so, DFC had every right to ask the poster to remove it. Lastly, the so called report does not even show in the SafeSport Centralized Disciplinary Database.

Staff is very dedicated to the sport and work well with beginners of all ages, including elementary-age. Some minimum ages apply. Call about the youngest.
