I’ve been a loyal Orangetheory member for 2 years with a Premier Unlimited membership, but my experience at the Tustin - The Market Place studio was beyond disappointing. I arrived 9 minutes late to a 5:20 pm class due to my hospital shift running late. Despite there being empty rowers, I was refused entry and told I’d be charged a late cancel fee. What made this worse was that the manager completely neglected to speak with me directly. Instead, the front desk staff relayed an ultimatum: I could avoid the fee by switching to a later class, but only if I agreed to no longer book classes via the app—effectively banning my entry. This felt discriminatory and incredibly unprofessional. I’ve visited about 5 different OTF studios across both the East and West coasts, and I’ve never encountered treatment like this. Every other studio I’ve been to has been understanding and flexible in similar situations. It’s a stark contrast to the welcoming environment I’ve come to expect from Orangetheory. I’ve always relied on OTF for stress relief, but after this experience, I won’t be returning to this studio and would caution others about the poor treatment I received. I’ve also included photos of the 5:20 pm class, showing the empty rowers, to further illustrate the unreasonable nature of this situation.

Orangetheory Fitness is incredible. The workouts are dynamic, challenging, and keep you motivated. The coaches are encouraging and knowledgeable, and the heart rate monitoring helps you track progress in real time.

This gym has quite frankly changed my life. I don’t know where I would be. If I didn’t find it the staff the coaches even everyone who comes in here the community that I’ve built is unparalleled and I’ve recently moved away and yeah, I still keep driving all the way here. The workouts are amazing. The feeling afterward is always the best. Do yourself a favor and sign up for your free class. You have nothing to lose.

I inquired online about prices/options and accidentally gave them my phone number which was a big mistake. I now get 2-3 phone calls a day leaving a voicemail every time. I honestly was interested at first was just busy, but won't ever be now. I hate companies that can't get a hint. If I am interested I will call you.

By far one of the worst locations. And I've been to many orange theory locations. I don't know where these stellar review comes from. The coaches don't coach or input proper technique when working out. They don't really help or check to see if you are actually doing things right. They just let you be compared to the other locations I've been to. I've had really bad neck pain I believe due to this. Make no doubt about it, the success of this particular OT is Sheerly due to the location.NOT THE COACHES. So I don't understand this five minute policy when they ain't really teaching you. They briefly go over it. I was late 5 minutes and they said I wouldn't have time to warm up properly and they wouldn't let me in and said it's up to the coaches which is ridiculous because the coaches suck here Period. Also instead of just letting me rush in they spent more time arguing with me and deciding back and forth if they should let me in or not further increasing the time of being "late". Orangetheory prides itself in being a family/community but no that's a complete lie. I've had multiple neck pain from working out here because of the lack of care from the coaches which is a stark contrast to the other locations I've come across. They don't care about your form or maybe they just got lazy. Who knows. I don't want to name any names and I haven't tried all the coaches but it's typically the 8:30 and 9:30am classes. I'll just leave it at that. I regret buying the passes here but will just have to wait I guess until it's over since this one is the closest to the house. I understand it is a business but even workplaces are more understanding and make exceptions under circumstances that aren't under your control. And the audacity of the "manager" telling me to wait an hour for the next class. My time is valuable lady. Get out of here. I would expect a woman to be more understanding but nope. Management you need to be better supportive to moms because I see that it is mostly women that are supporting orangetheory. We have a thousand things on our plates. Please @ me! I attached screenshots of a conversation with a friend prior to this incident about my neck pain. Maybe instead of focusing so much on the warm ups, get better coaches? They also need to get rid of the waiting list. They honestly just need to do a complete overhaul. I have sooooo much more to say but maybe next time
