This location is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Over the past few months I have been bringing the safety issues of their damaged equipment to the attention of the staff and NOTHING has changed. Pay attention to the cable machines and attachments! The straps and cables have expiration dates and they are waaay past due. To add to it all. The condition of some cables are terrible with frays and broken strands. The carabiners are broken or installed incorrectly or both! The handles and grips are worn to shreds, and all this only adds to the eventuality of them breaking during use and possibly injuring the person using them! The staff needs a real maintenance person that understands what "working load" ratings are for lifting hardware. Who ever is "repairing" them clearly is taking short-cuts and doesn't have any clue about the functionality of the equipment they work on. This is evidence that a complete disregard for customer safety is hapening here and it is OUTRAGEOUS for the premium price they charge for a supersport membership! These photos were all taken just from a 5 minute walk-through of this gym. I'm sure there are more broken equipment I missed or were being used while I walked by. This place used to be worth the cost years ago, but that era has clearly ended. Maybe consider other options before coming here and getting hurt when a cable finaly snaps, or a machine breaks while you're on it.

I can only echo prior comments made regarding cleanliness and overall decline of the gym experience. Been a member since 98, and enjoy the convenience, but since the pandemic and reduction in hours came a clear cut in expenses, as maintenance and a simple sweep of the locker rooms for cleanliness and proper function of showers and toilets is not happening at an acceptable rate. I have seen other reviews and replies from management on wanting to engage directly, and I have left direct responses to the corporate. Unfortunately I have not seen any sustained change. It's sad because this was the gold standard for cost efficient gyms. I definitely feel the customer base should also be held to a higher standard as well, as it seems many assume staff will clean up after them if they throw towels on the ground, leave drink containers on the floor, don't leave the showers in same or better level of cleanliness as they found it, etc. But in general this and other nearby gyms have clearly declined in quality. December 2024 update - After a couple of months of going to other locations, I have been back to the Willow Glen location the past couple of weeks. The gym has fixed most of the showers, which is great. They also have posted signs for guests to respect the locker rooms, etc. I also see the staff cleaning more frequently. It's not perfect and there are still treadmills and elliptical machines in need of repair , but apparently enough folks have noted the decline and they are doing something to rectify. I will see if this lasts, but for now I will upgrade the rating a bit.

Roughly 60% of any machines that are cable operated are broken or missing their cable pins entirely. There’s 3 machines where the pin is a yellow screwdriver. One of the adjustable height cable machines uses a piece of rebar as its pin. Not only is the equipment in this gym horrendously maintained, the ones that are “fixed” are by no means safe. The only equipment that is reliable is the free weights. After looking at the reviews it seems this problem has gone on for months and the management is very much aware, yet the problem persists. Clearly no effort has been made.

Very good gym has a lot of options and various exercise equipment. Wish it had the sauna room to but very popular and enjoyable 😉
