Very disappointed - anti-customer establishment. I visit Del Mar once per year and I was really looking forward to the Bodyrok class I booked as I go to bodyrok regularly in NYC. I’ve been to this Del Mar Bodyrok location before so when I logged on to their website to book my class I clicked on the Del Mar hyperlink for the location and the class time I wanted. The website then prompted me to log in through Mind Body which I did. I then clicked to pay and thought I was all set to take my class in the coming days. I didn’t check the confirmation email because I had originally clicked the location link for Del Mar before signing in to MindBody. I showed up to the Del Mar studio on time excited to take my 9:30 class only to find out from the front desk woman that I was booked for 9:30 at Encinitas - a studio I’ve never been to and don’t live anywhere near. I couldn’t believe that this could have happened and I asked her if there was any way I could get a spot in the 9:30 Del Mar class since I had already paid $40 for my single class. Unfortunately the class was full. The front desk woman was adamant that the mind body app is glitchy and said she would text the owner and the owner would get back to me. I waited 24 hours and didn’t hear anything from anyone. I then called the number on their website a few times until I finally reached a woman who said it’s not her problem and they’re a small business and that she won’t refund my $40. I told her I totally understand they have to pay the instructor for the missed class and that I’d be happy to just go to a different class at a non peak hour so I could at least take a class. She then proceeded to tell me that they are a small business and that they can’t do anything for me - but I work hard for my money too and I was out $40 even though I showed up ready to take a class but the glitch in the system put me at the wrong location. I asked if she could put me in touch with the owner and she said she would speak to the owner. I never heard back from her or the owner. I then texted the business with the same account of what happened and they still haven’t responded. They don’t care about customers. They were super dismissive and very defensive. I just wanted to take a class and now I have a sour taste from how abrasive they were about the whole thing. I just wanted to take a class…. If you are considering this studio there are plenty of other great workouts elsewhere.

Shocked bc I thought there’d be hundreds of amazing reviews of this studio! Currently not the case, that’s why I’m writing. I was an avid yoga practitioner (15 years) and looking for something more. If you want to be physically stronger by calling on more than just your body weight this could be for you. Bumping music, physical challenge, clean studio. Look, it’s not yoga / mindfulness but it’s badass and fun!! I think, physically, it compliments my asana practice well. I turned 40 this year and never felt this strong in my life. Can’t say enough good things about this spot. Also, not to discredit this person, but someone left a negative review about the manager. I’ve had nothing but a positive experience with her as well. Just saying, don’t be afraid to give Bodyrok Delmar a go, and see for yourself!

manager/owner is horrible and she is the one that manages the books. I accidentally signed up for two classes back to back. I went there early , spoke with her and told her the situation. asked her to please cancel the second class so I don't get charged . I apologized for the error and explained that I meant to sign up for classes on two consecutive days. She didn’t even look me up, just looked at me and said : ok, I will fix it and looked away. well, she never did and charged me a no show fee on top of that. I followed up with an email to her which was ignored. I let it go. today I show up late ( for the first time ever) and she had taken my spot and kicked me out of the studio. what kind of a manager / owner kicks ours their loyal customer when they are late just once AND takes their spot. there are so many fantastic studios and private instructors around us that would love to have my business and a loyal one at that .

This is my favorite workout and the best studio I’ve ever been to in the 4+ years I’ve been taking reformer Pilates. It’s changed my body quickly & effectively. I really love all the morning instructors I take as well as the owner. My happy place!

I’ve been going to BR Del Mar for over a year now and it’s has changed my body completely. It is torturous in a good way, it is hard work but when you see the results it’s just really rewarding. The studio is super nice, little but cozy and clean. And everyone from the staff to the instructors are amazing. You become like family once you star let going constantly.
