My kids have been part of Murrieta Tennis Club for many years, and I couldn't be happier with their experience. Not only have they improved tremendously in their tennis skills, but they also have so much fun playing. The environment is incredibly supportive, and they've made great friendships along the way. The coaches are fantastic—always encouraging, patient, and truly invested in the kids' progress. It’s more than just a tennis club; it feels like a community. Highly recommend for anyone looking to grow in the sport and enjoy it at the same time!

I would give this place negative stars if it were possible. I should have seen all the “red flags” when I first inquired about becoming a member and trying to sign up for private lessons. Firstly, none of the “instructors” would get back to me with any booking information and after I constantly followed up with them individually (through text and emails) everyone’s schedule was full or not willing to collaborate with me. I had reached the primary office administrator (Hanna) multiple times, and she reassured me that she will make sure to contact a coach on my behalf. Even though no coach would get back to me I decided to become a member. I went on Sunday and signed up right on the spot and based on the recommendation of the young lady that was at the office (not Hanna) she urged me to participate in the organized club play (men’s singles and doubles) and she also reassured me again that one of the coaches would get back to me for lessons. I grew up playing tennis and I was so excited and willing to do (and pay of course) whatever it took to get back in playing form. I have not played in fifteen (15) years, and I am out of shape, so I know that I had to build up my stamina and had communicated that to Hanna as well prior to my first day of playing and to the coaches when I inquired about private lessons. My first match was a club’s double Tuesday and after warmups and one set of playing time, I ran out of breath and had to sit down for a few minutes. I spoke to the other players, and everyone was extremely understanding since I was new and had to build up my stamina. Keep in mind that no one had ever disclosed to me that I had to play three (3) sets (about two ½-3 hrs. of play). I was told that since everyone is playing for fun, I can play as long as and as much as I can. The next few days I participated in more organized club play (men’s singles and doubles) and played for almost 2 hrs. and then I would leave. I also spoke to a few members of the club, and they shared with me that every day there are other players that play only two sets and leave!!! Also, I was told that the reason that I do not get a call back from the instructors for private lessons is because this club caters mostly to women and seniors!!! Yesterday, Thursday 7.11.24 as I was getting ready to go play, I got a call from Hanna to inform me that there are a few members that have complained about me not being able to play three sets and she asked me if I was “happy” playing tennis and suggested that I should not participate in club play, since it’s not fair to other “paying players”. (*For nonmembers you must pay $15 per match for members its free/*I am a paying member). To say the least I felt shocked, offended, and discriminated against. I expressed to Hanna how wrong it was for her to call me with this and I immediately asked to speak to her supervisor. She responded that I needed to email her first with my request and she will have someone get back to me in the future. I was trying to reason with Hanna so she could realize how wrong this conversation was and she should have talked to her supervisor before calling me. I am also a paying club member, the players are not getting paid to play (it’s the exact opposite, everyone is playing for fun) and everyone I played with was very understanding about me building up my stamina during play. While I was trying to talk to Hanna, she kept interrupting me by saying I am sorry. Since I was not getting anywhere with my phone call I decided to cancel my membership, due to this discrimination and bullying. When I expressed this to Hanna she started laughing and said, “that’s great just email that you want to cancel.” The disrespect was continuing so I asked for an email back to confirm my membership cancellation and have someone call me back. I have never been treated so poorly and bullied to not participate in something I have a passion for. I have consulted with my attorney on what he suggests the next steps should be. I would hate for someone to have this experience as well.

Horrible customer service. Charges for a whole month but if you miss due to illness or bad weather they won't do make up lessons unless they cancel do to rain only. Started my daughter in AugustCarter several phone calls to make sure I could be a cash customer. Come to find out even if your not a member they insist you follow member rules. Horrible will never return. Oh finished this month because already paid for and club recieved over a month of free money. Ps the coaches are great just not customer service or owners.

Nice to have a place like this over here. The lady at the desk was quite nice and friendly. She provided provided information I needed. I wish they offer more programs for the little ones.

I have been playing tennis at MTC for several years. I have had great experience taking lessons with their tennis instructors. It is so much fun playing with the other ladies. I also enjoy playing in the clubs league matches.
