Gilroy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

My daughter has been coming to the gym shortly after we moved here from out of state in 2022. It really has helped her with her confidence and her sense of self.. She really has come out of her shell and blossomed. She’s learned a lot from the coaches, not just self defense but discipline, accountability, and mentoring newer kids, and has fun while doing it all. This gym along with the coaches and other kids have really become like her second family. It’s amazing to see the progress and growth that she and the other kids have made since starting here. I hope everyone who is considering or is on the fence, please give this place the chance.. It will not disappoint .

I started coming to this gym to help fight my anxiety and depression. I didn’t expect to find the family that I did. I’ve been coming to this gym for about 7 months now and it saddens me to say I’m moving away and have to find a new gym. Thank you to the amazing instructors who were always understanding, yet knew how to properly push me. I will continue my Jiu-Jitsu journey where ever I end up in life because of the experience I have had here. If you are looking to get fit, exercise, have a social community, learn how to defend yourself, build confidence, or just find a way to fight your mental demons like I did, I could not recommend GBJJ anymore. Thank you guys for everything.

Great place! My son loves going jiu jitsu here, he goes almost everyday. The coaches are so nice and knowledgeable. It’s like a second family to him.

We returned back to Gilroy BJJ late in 2024 and are so grateful we did. The facility is well kept, clean and organized. Carlos and Anthony run a tight ship and our boys are thriving. Anthony teaches the kids class and he maintains a wonderful balance of discipline, instruction and ensuring the kids are having fun. Would highly recommend!

Our family knew that we wanted to practice BJJ. We set out far and wide to start looking for local gyms, ones that would be supportive of our little ones. After much research, searching, visits and trials, we decided to attend Gilroy BJJ, and glad that we made the right choice to enroll. The atmosphere is competitive, yet fun and alive. The kids absolutely love the instructors and coming to train with their team mates. The kids class coaches ( Coaches Kyle and Anthony) are awesome with the kids, in addition to the helper instructors. The adults classes are also very good, no ego, technical, constructive, everyone is supportive and helpful. We’ve found ourselves a great bjj gym that we’re proud to be apart of.
