Simply the best! I have been going to OT Dana Point since they first opened. I have only had amazing classes. My husband also goes and is hooked! Our coaches Alex, Nik & Emma are incredible. They are so encouraging and I look forward to every workout with them. They play the best music and I enjoy hearing them encourage us. The front staff are all super sweet and helpful. When you walk through the doors, you are greeted by Cass, Beth, Sydney, or Shea. I’ve only had great interactions with the front desk. They are always smiling and will help in any way they can. The studio is clean and I see them taking care of the studio. I was really intimated by gyms before and my friend encouraged me to try out OTDP. Thanks to her and all the coaches, they have changed my life. I feel great! Thank you coaches for all your help!

I am writing to provide feedback on my recent experience interviewing for the Assistant Studio Manager position, specifically regarding the process led by Studio Manager Cass Rockwell. My interview took place on a Wednesday and seemed to go well. I was upfront with Cass about my situation, explaining that, as a father to a young daughter with another child on the way, I needed to secure employment to support my family after facing unforeseen personal circumstances. Cass gave me the impression that I was a strong candidate for the role, expressing optimism about my fit for the position. I was informed that the next step would be to attend a class the following Tuesday, six days after the interview. When I arrived, however, Cass seemed surprised to see me, almost as though she had forgotten about the appointment. Despite this, I completed the hour-long workout, remaining hopeful that this was a positive step forward. Afterward, I asked about the next steps in the process, and Cass appeared unsure, eventually stating that I should expect further communication via email. Upon returning home, I was optimistic and shared with my family that, after months of job searching, I felt confident this opportunity was the right fit. However, less than seven hours later, I received an email stating that Orangetheory Fitness had decided to hire a different candidate. What’s frustrating is that it seems like they may have already known they wanted to hire someone else. If that was the case, why have me go through an entire workout, making me think I had a genuine chance? It feels disrespectful to ask someone to invest time and effort into something when the decision may have already been made. As a 29-year-old Marine veteran with a bachelor’s degree and credible work experience, I found this experience deeply disappointing and frustrating. It was not only disheartening but felt like a disregard of my time and effort, especially during such challenging economic times. I believe the handling of this process, particularly by Cass Rockwell, reflects poorly on Orangetheory Fitness. It is disheartening to invest time and energy into what felt like a promising opportunity, only to receive such dismissive treatment. I hope that this feedback prompts a review of your hiring process to prevent similar experiences for future candidates.

I can't recommend Orange Theory at Dana Point more. Over last year plus I have become the most physically fit I've ever been. As importantly my mental health is stronger too. The Coaches and Staff and other Members are so encouraging and given the sense of community they promote, they feel almost like family. While Alex, Courtney, Nik, and Emma have different and unique coaching styles they just hit right on certain days. Cass, Sydney, Shay and the rest of the front desk team are so helpful and welcoming. Give it a Try !!!

Orange Theory is a great workout studio. I have been an on and off member since they opened. Since rejoining, I enjoy going to the Strength classes as well as the 90 minute class on Saturdays. All the coaches are great and are awesome at providing modifications when needed. The music is always on point. The Front Desk team is always super friendly and welcoming. Give it a try! You will not regret it! :)
