Loved this studio! It’s run by a long time Burner, so there’s all kinds of good vibes here. From cool signs reminding us of radical inclusion, to unique art pieces by local artists (ask the owner to tell you the stories behind them!) this place is special. I loved their array of unique beverages and became obsessed with a passionfruit Agua Fresca there. The teachers are awesome. Note - floors are squishy! Not hardwood. Awesome on the knees. Also- even though their website currently doesn’t say so, they do have two showers if you need to rinse off after class.

This studio goes beyond the vibey and welcoming aesthetic. The energy you feel from the second you walk in the door is everything. The staff are authentic and generous people. The owner, Steve 23 was kind enough to walk us through the space and show us the intentional layers that are both built in and added for decor. There is a sense of belonging here. I spent a total of 24+ hours in the space this past weekend for a teacher training and I wouldn't have wanted to have that experience anywhere else. Thank you New Mission Yoga Family! I cannot wait to come back 💕

Fall-to-your-knees, fall-in-love kind of yoga studio! I’m absolutely jazzed about the vibe and the workout overall. The heat brings that extra ‘oomph’ our bodies need to release tension, loosen up, and fully embrace the practice. Steve and the team at Mission Yoga are so attentive and great at keeping you motivated to enjoy your time there. Thanks for creating such a cute and welcoming studio in SF!

I’m new to hot yoga and am so happy to have stumbled upon New Mission Yoga, trying out a new hobby/studio can be really intimidating but everyone at Mission Yoga is so kind and welcoming! I also love how the instructors encourage that everyone moves at their own flow and really cultivate an environment that feels safe and celebrates all levels. I highly recommend! :)

My favorite yoga studio in SF. I love all the instructors at this location . I usually take Neil’s class . His class is intense , combination of meditation and core workout with his amazing live drumming rhythm. I feel rejuvenated and re-energized after his class . Usually his class is packed with many people so if you mind having too many people around you , this is not the right class for you.

I've been going to SF Yoga Flow for 5 or 6 years now and I just love this business, their space, and their teachers. I took from Neil Wadhawan again today and he is so amazing. He practices a very strong, solid flow that is interspersed with some philosophy, some music, and encouragement and humor. The space is in this old San Francisco ballroom and it's so beautiful and peaceful. Beware, this is HOT yoga! Not bikram, but the room is heated. You should bring a face towel at a bare minimum and a big bottle of water.

I enjoy this yoga studio as all their instructors are lovely and the classes are geared for a good work out. Their 12-1pm class is a perfect time for those who work and parents who can get in some exercise while kids are at school. I do wish they had more affordable rates though for their class packs or unlimited class memberships.

I really liked this yoga studio, especially heated yoga is the best. Sometimes its just really crowded, and there is no own space. And if its your first class you get rent a yoga-mat for free or you can actually buy one. Overall 👍🏻

I had never had a good time at heated yoga until I came here. It's a beautiful space with a kind, patient community and awesome teachers. You sweat a lot, and you stretch a lot. It's wonderful.

Great yoga studio, but the class size limit really needs to be lower. During peak times, mats were only 3 inches apart, which no one wants in a yoga class. A less crowded space would significantly improve the quality of the experience.

What a gem this place is! I’ve been an on and off yoga practitioner for many years and have tried lots of SF studios, I did the online class thing for a while, and in recent years have really been underwhelmed by both the studios and classes that I’ve taken - there’s a corporate feeling to many of them that is hard to connect to. The Castro Room is the exact opposite of this, from the moment you walk in, you can feel that there is a great deal of care that goes into both the studio and the community it serves. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, the room is huge and warmly bright - warm enough to stretch and sweat, but not so warm that you feel like you’re going to pass out! It’s tasteful and clean without being overdone. Mimi and the folks there have created a welcoming and genuine space in a seamless kind of way. There’s something about coming in from the hustle and bustle of the Castro and the outside world to this space that always feels so grounding and nurturing. They have an amazing lineup of teachers. I’m currently really enjoying Sunny’s Tuesday/ Thursday morning classes. She is aptly named: there is such a brightness to her classes and I always feel uplifted afterward. They're super well rounded, well paced, a good workout and always unique; that feeling of tranquility and balance mixed with a really good sweat, like you’ve wrung out every part of your body. Another great perk about this place? All classes before noon Monday - Friday are reduced or sliding scale. A rare find these days - making yoga affordable for most. What can I say, it is just such an upper to go there - nothing but good vibes!

A legend is reborn! 😍This was the iconic Yoga Tree Castro, a cornerstone of the SF yoga world for decades - and it’s back! Same incredible space (bright, vaulted ceilings and massive space with amazing vibes that feels so magical and held, perfect temperature that’s warm so you sweat but not roast, but with brand new floors and surround sound!), and a renowned lineup of rockstar teachers who could or already do offer their own teacher trainings! 🥳 This schedule is unbelievable!! And, there’s actually parking. Thank you so much for bringing back this celebrated sacred space and community, such a gift!! ✨🙏🏼✨

Best yoga studio in San Francisco. It used to be Yoga Tree. I recommend Jason Bowman (exquisite, meditative, challenging, & detailed), Rebecca Rogers (extraordinarily astute as a teacher & with a beautiful singing voice), Nikita Mehta (incredible), Mike Richardson (experimental & therapeutic) Janet Stone (queen of yoga teachers.) The Castro Room offers free classes, community classes, and their memberships are very reasonable. They are cultivating new, young teachers. And they have a work trade program, too. What that means is they are building an inclusive, diverse community. This studio is owned by yoga teachers, not a corporation. It took them 3 years to get this wonderful yoga space back, as during the Pandemic Yoga Tree was bought by Yoga Works and they abandoned it and 6 other studios when their profits were threatened. Come and practice with us! Save the planet by saving your mind & body & spirit.

Great class, but overall not cheap for a room that was very crowded. Mats had to be 3 inches from each other, and there were over 50 people in the room. The air in the room felt saturated and the lack of space to move freely was a little distracting.

Review for Rowena & Gregory's Hips & Pelvis Release Workshop As an observer of the hips and pelvis tension release workshop, I found it an enriching and novel experience to see two distinct physical practices—yoga and myofascial release therapy (MFR)—integrated so thoughtfully. This combination provided a valuable addition to the wellness toolkit, demonstrating how MFR can serve as a complementary tool to yoga in supporting overall wellness and managing physical health. The presentation, along with the slideshow and Q&A session, was informative. We learned about fascia as a system that supports our daily well-being, how it moves, and how releasing it can help our bodies better respond to stressors. The opportunity to ask questions and hear insights from others with different backgrounds broadened my perspective on the impact of mobility. Although I attended as an observer, I found the workshop highly insightful and would recommend it to others. There's enough depth in the material to attend more than once and still gain new insights. Rowena and Greg generously bring their expertise to offer students a unique and holistic practice. You are literally in great hands during this workshop. Rowena’s compassion and dedication as a healer/practitioner shine through as she skillfully attunes to the needs of her students. During the workshop, she thoughtfully provided modifications tailored to individual needs, ensuring that the poses were not only accessible but also comfortable. Greg’s intuitive approach allows him to pinpoint areas of tension in participants’ bodies and accurately target treatment areas for deeper release. His hands-on guidance was clear and descriptive, making the practice of MFR with a partner both practical and approachable. Greg encouraged participants to listen to their partner’s feedback as well as their own limitations, ensuring that the practice remained safe and comfortable for everyone involved.

Yoga flow SF is a fantastic hot yoga studio! The interior is such a vibe with the color changing LED lights and minimal decor. The instructors keep the studio at a good temperature, hot but not overwhelming. I’ve been going for a year, the classes are always solid. My favorite instructors are Rowena, Natalie, and Brad. I really appreciate their focus on breath in combination with the practice and their insightful pose corrections. I’ve also taken classes with Danimal and Jim, both are good instructors their classes are more workout + yoga than traditional yoga. I recently did Rowena’s “progression to headstand” January program and had an amazing experience. I went from struggling in dolphin to getting into my first tucked headstand all within a few short weeks! I appreciate that all the instructors offer modifications and poses at different levels.

I am in love with Yoga Flow Noe! First off, the space is magical. It's immaculate, warm, relaxing. The low lighting changes colors to set a great mood. There are even showers! I've taken several classes and among my faves are Jackie's mellow flow class on T/Th morning and Lane's Yoga Nidra class on Friday morning. I always leave relaxed and energized at the same time. I really can't say enough good things about the studio.

I'm not very experienced with yoga or pregnancy but Jane Austin offers a genuinely welcoming, pleasant and enjoyable prenatal yoga class. Her outgoing demeanor, sense of humor, and level of comfort and confidence around pregnant people makes the sessions seem extra special. You're not just signing up to do some moves on a mat--Jane often shares a series of helpful pregnancy and baby-related tips and funny anecdotes throughout the sessions and during poses. Despite her large volume of session participants he also appears to have that natural skill of remembering names. I've only attended two of her sessions so far and it already feels like spending time with a caring friend.

Just WOW! AMAZING CLASSES/BEAUTIFUL STUDIO! It's a complete sanctuary that has a warming feeling the moment you walk in the door. Studio has beautiful exposed wood beams, mood lighting of changing hues as you flow through your class, and a lovely washroom with wood/stones accents creating the perfect space for harmony/balance. I'm an instructor for YFSF (Union St) and have taken most of the classes from teachers on the schedule at this studio. They are all ROCK STARS that are sure to get you bending, binding, floating, twisting, sweating, and feeling better! Had a great time at this studio and excited to return again soon!

Would not recommend trying to go to this studio. The first time I attended I arrived 5 min early, but class started 7 min late, it smelled horrible in the room (potentially sewage?) and the back half of the class was so advanced not a single person except the instructor was doing the poses. The rest of us just sat there doing random stretches, which isn’t necessarily bad, but why did I pay $30 to sit in a stinky room and stretch by myself. The second time I attended, I arrived 2 min late because it was street sweeping and parking was difficult. Myself and two other attendees (one of which arrive on time at 7:30am) were all locked out of the studio. I understand no late arrivals but the studio should be consistent in this policy as to avoid disappointment and confusion. I was very frustrated.

Classes are great but the airflow really needs to be improved. At first I thought there was a sewage leak but after a fellow classmate kept opening and closing the door to air out the room it became obvious that it was an issue with flatulence. The room is kept so hot that whenever someone farts (which in a recent class was nonstop) the smell hangs around the room with no method of escape. This unfortunately is a recurring situation at this location as of late. Hoping the managers can help with the situation.

Loved doing Yoga Sculpt here with Vibha! Always a great class and super friendly.

CorePower Yoga on Dunce, is a community more then everything else. When I go there I feel part of a small family that always gives you the welcome with a smile 😊. I have been a regular for a while now, I take C2 with Melanie and Kory and I could not wish for better instructors. Two different styles and so complementary to each other. I'll never stop saying how much I love their classes. So if you are looking for a good mindful yoga class take Melanie's morning class. If Yoga is your way to release stress and to sweat it out, Kory is your guy, you will flow everytime with a new sequence. However if you are looking for a fancy yoga studio than this is not your place. I'm a traveler, so I have seen several CorePower studios around the US or just around California, and in comparison with other studios this studios lacks many things. But it's my studio, and I would not change it for anything in the world. I love my Duboce CorePower family (Nancy, Melanie, and Kory) they always make my day.

Great location. I just wish their man changing rooms and showers were a bit better. They are really uncomfortable. Just two showers, listed bench space and really really uncomfortable. Almost unusable. The rest of the facility is great!

This place, community changed my life. I healed over time by taking classes, attending workshops and having chat over tea. The highlight of my day is a yoga class at Center SF, preferably a Kundalini class. I can not thank enough how I am in such a better place due to the loving and caring community. I met the nicest Yoga teachers, genuine, caring and just present. It is the medicine I needed and it found me. Thank you for everything. Love

The place itself is beautiful, has wifi. But the manager has an attitude, she was yelling today. She also was making me pay $15 for a cup of tea, and yesterday it was $5. It's a very sweet and calm place and it's so odd to have such aggressive employees. (they lost their license and now she was trying to charge triple for a drink.)

Love this place! Will absolutely be back :) Had an afternoon tea and read a to share astrology book they had on a shelf :) then I attended a lovely cacao ceremony later in the evening :) 🤍 the perfect spot :) planning to go back tomorrow with my journal for more tea and to hopefully pour over the astrology book again :) met some really cool people too!

Super calm area to grind or just hang. I noticed the deep community aspect when I went which is welcoming! There were also yoga classes going on when I went. Got a Shakti chai tea which was super good! Love the additions in there. Overall, an interesting and calm place to go

They use any chance to get money out of you, I signed up for a new student experience and I couldn't cancel it after one month and automatically renewed and they refused to refund me even though I email them at the same day. They also never miss to charge you for no show and late class cancellation fees. The studio is ok, a few of the teachers are fine too.

Really enjoyed flow and restore! Space is so cute. It’s a three floor house. Class was exactly what I needed to stretch myself out and restore my body from traveling, sitting at a desk and working out. First class is $15.

I’ve always enjoyed the classes and the teachers at Folk; they’ve been fantastic. However, I'm extremely disappointed with the management and how they've handled the closure of the Sunset location. I initially purchased a 6-month membership primarily to attend the Sunset studio, which was conveniently located within walking distance for me. Unfortunately, a few months into my membership, the location closed. Their other locations don't work well for me due to their distance and my work schedule. I’ve been trying to resolve the issue of a refund since then. It’s been almost 10 weeks since my first contact with management, and I've had little luck. My emails are mostly ignored, or it takes weeks to get a response. I was offered a refund in the form of studio credits, but it wasn't prorated. They proposed to refund the full price of my 6-month membership and then charge me for each month I used at a significantly higher monthly rate, resulting in a much lower refund than expected. They also refused to provide a monetary refund instead of studio credits. While I understand that a no-refund policy is reasonable under normal circumstances, I don't think it's an acceptable option in the event of a studio closure (and according to California Consumer protection laws, such service disruption normally constitutes a breach of contract). I don’t normally write reviews and prefer not to speak negatively about any business. However, the lack of response from management and not being able to reach a resolution for over 10 weeks prompted me to share this experience (as well as consider taking a formal action).

Super helpful!! I needed a travel mat last minute while visiting SF and the teacher helped me find what I needed right before close. It was great to support a local studio and I’ll be sure to take a class next time I’m in town!

I've been coming to this studio for many years. Initially I went mostly through ClassPass but decided to buy a full annual membership since I wanted to become more serious about my yoga practice. I've tried many yoga studios and Roy Gan is one of my favorite instructors. Roy doesn't teach at any other studio and others clearly like his teaching style too since his classes are busy. His classes are seamlessly choreographed since he was a dancer. I also like Rachel Soon, Martin Scott, and Chelsea Van Billiard but there are lots of good instructors. I also appreciate that there are a number of different studios throughout SF with many class types (vinyasa, restorative, HIIT, yoga sculpt etc.)
