I practice with Commune Yoga through their online classes daily, and it’s an amazing experience. The teachers are knowledgeable, inspiring, and bring great energy to every session. The platform offers a wide variety of classes, making it easy to find the right practice for any mood and level. The quality of the recordings and guidance is excellent, making me feel connected even from afar. Highly recommended for anyone looking for high-quality online yoga!

Having practiced yoga for 20 years, I have been to many studios across the country and world. I have practiced regularly here for a couple of years including throughout my pregnancy and post partum experience. This studio is fantastic because of its teachers and the clear passion for the craft of thoughtful movement practice facilitation. I appreciate that the space is simple, without mirrors or excessive heat. This way, I can connect easily to a meditative state of being. I have also been able to clearly advance my physical practice and explore unique movement and poses on a regular basis (impressive given how much yoga I have practiced over the years!). Thank you Commune for being wonderful!

I've been loving this place for a while and wanted to share a review for anyone curious about joining Commune! Here are some thoughts I had before and after becoming a member: 1. They don’t keep your yoga mat: This might seem a bit cumbersome, especially if you commute by bus like I do, but I got used to it and this policy actually makes the studio cleaner and more spacious! 2. They communicate via email, with no direct phone at the studio: This can be little confusing for new members, but their email response time is super fast. I assume this policy helps keep the classes distraction-free and high quality 3. Classes might get packed: I usually go to 6pm classes on weekdays, which aren’t crowded at all. However, the weekend morning classes can get busy. I find this could be pro or con depends on your style. Personally, I don’t mind either way—whether the space is big or small, it encourages you to get creative with your movements and space In short, I love this place, and I hope everyone gets a chance to try this wonderful studio!

After recently moving to Seattle a couple of years ago, I was nervous to pay for a yoga studio when I already paid for a gym membership and pilates membership. I usually did yoga at the gym or on my own terms online. I found commune through a friend’s recommendation and gave it a shot. Well wow I’m so glad I took that shot! I didn’t know I would find a community as warm, kind, and welcoming as commune yoga. You can tell that the managers try really really hard to keep the studio in great condition and to provide a variety of yoga classes and a schedule that allows people to practice various times during the day. I particularly love Patrick’s handstands class and Erica’s long slow deep class. I saw the comments about the yoga studio being warm, honestly I’ve been going to yoga classes for the last 10 years of my life and an 80 degree temperature for a vinyasa class is very normal. I’ve honestly taken vinyasa classes that were even warmer than that (85-87 degrees). They also have fans in the space and do a great job at fanning the place and opening the doors in between classes to air out the space if needed.

Beautiful studio with warm and welcoming vibe. Diverse group of teachers - I’ve enjoyed all the classes I’ve been to, even though each is unique. Try to come as much as possible and highly recommend.

The studio is always very welcoming. They have a lot of class times so I can almost always make one work even with my varied schedule. I have yet to meet an instructor I didn’t love! Even with all the sweaty bodies the studio is always clean without lasting odors. I wish the locker room was bigger but that’s so minor, and I can always find a locker- just squeezing past people when it’s crowded. But hey, no big deal for that 3 minutes. The classes themselves are just awesome, I always feel like I’ve gotten a good workout, and always feel welcome to rest anytime when I’m having a tired day. I love the core component in each class, it is a unique feature of these yoga studios that keeps me coming back. I can’t say enough about how much I love CorePower!!!

Got to this studio at 2:01 on Christmas...their last class had already started, still I prayed I’d see someone who’d let me in, “in the spirit of Christmas” or perhaps because I’ve been a member for over THREE YEARS, thousands of dollars later on Christmas 2019 I did see TWO people appear behind the glass doors but I could NOT enter CPY’s last class on Christmas—they had plenty of room—since ONE female, a mean**girl with glasses and curly reddish hair that was behind the counter said, NO to the other nice* lady that WAS going to let me in...

I attended 30 classes there in 2 months, most of which were Yoga Sculpt in the morning. I feel fantastic after the workout that trains my core muscles along with some cardio. Louisa He's Sculpt was even more challenging and I attended her sessions a lot more. They have first week free, definitely worth trying out.

Very new place. I like the studio. Great atmosphere with tea at the resting area. Parking is tricky, do get the passcode, go to the garage behind the studio. The garage is for resident and retail. Remember your parking lot number, go to the parking machine, key in your lot number and select yoga student. After that, enter the code from CorePower so that you don't have to pay parking, put parking ticket on dashboard, take the elevator up! Do give yourself 10 mins to do this.

I believe finding a yoga place is a personal experience almost like finding a church to attend. I have a list of pro's and con's for this studio, take them for what you will. I do not plan going back, but maybe this place will be your cup of tea. Pro's: - 2 Studios - Good variety of classes and times during the week. - Clean: Locker rooms are always clean and they mop the studios in between classes. - Free locks for lockers - Free tea - Instructors were nice - I learned some new poses Con's - Repetition of classes: I went to three Hot Power Yoga classes in the same week, taught by three different teachers and the classes we EXACTLY the same. They went through the same exact sequence and used the same language, almost like a script. - Windows to the outside in each studio. There was a lot of noise and light coming into the studio from pedestrians and buses. - One studio has a window to the front desk. For people in the back of the room this is really distracting. - Teachers don't demo the positions, they just talk. - Sometimes it is very crowded.

I felt the need to leave a review after visiting other Corepower studios while on holiday. I didn’t know I had it so good at my usual Ballard studio! I absolutely love Corepower Ballard, no matter the class type. The studio is extremely clean and well-maintained. The instructors all seem to keep the heat at their own comfortability levels, but all in line with what is marketed in each class by corporate. The instructors are all encouraging, motivating, non-judgmental, and inventive with their poses and yoga flow. Each class brings me something new while I always leave feeling refreshed, powerful and strong. This is a great space to just leave the world behind and focus on you. My go-to instructors are Jadyn, Char, Dominika, Maya, Perrin, and Abbey — you all are rockstars! I would highly recommend going to any of the classes at the Ballard studio.

Awesome studio, love corepower, been doing yoga for 15 years. I took a class from Subra with three of my friends and I had to do my own flow because I could not hear or understand him, and my friends had a similar experience. His instructing voice was very odd and different from his conversation voice when we talked with him before and after class. I like to meditate in yoga and when it takes considerable effort to understand the cues, I will just do my own thing. I had my consent to adjustment card on Yes and he did give me an awesome calf massage in half pigeon. Loved that! His transitions between poses were a bit abrupt and his breathing instructions were at an unnatural pacing. He is strong at yoga and seems to know his stuff though!

Highly recommend. This studio offers classes throughout the day, seven days a week. Fits any schedule. Makes it easy for me to make it to my mat on a regular basis.

Terrible experience here. The front door to the street was locked. I reached more than 10 minutes before the class, the person at the reception saw and made no attempt to tell me that the only way to enter the complex is via the parking lot!! She left the studio without helping me or even telling me how to get in and by the time I figured it out, there was no one at the reception to let me in. Nowhere was this mentioned! I was standing there out in the cold for 15 minutes! Very disappointed!!

Hello. Recently had the privilege to do some classes here as I was traveling through this area. What a treat! I can honestly say that Lissy is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Her sequencing, cueing, timing and tone are a few of the things that put her in an elite level of yoga teacher. Her Core Restore is an incredible class to revitalize and save your body. Every other teacher I’ve taken here is also fantastic and the studio is beautiful and always clean. Don’t sleep on this studio.

Great classes, and the energy work is amazing. The space is comfortable and feels welcoming. Joel is an incredible instructor and my first practice was so invigorating. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Definitely check this out if youre looking to start somewhere

This is one of the first places I went to for yoga in Seattle. And one of my favorites to go to for the focused men’s series and sound bath sessions. Joel is a considerate encouraging and inspiring instructor. Yogasmith is a great place to meet other members of the community seeking health and calming awareness while living in the city. 😉 Thanks for the empowering sessions.

I'm a professional concert and Broadway dancer in New York City and often head home to Seattle to visit family and friends. I discovered Yogasmith recently and took Joel's men's yoga class on a Sunday morning. It was by far one of the best yoga classes I've ever taken in my entire life, and I've taken many. Joel has a great energy and guided me into a rich practice of listening to my body, one breath at a time. Finding one's true core strength isn't easy, but Joel made me feel that I could do it and that I could reach my full potential. I'm elated to the thought of practicing with him again, and again, and again. Check him out and his roster of amazing teachers. Seattle is so fortunate to have Yogasmith. Go!

Joel is the best. My husband and I have been practicing with him for close to a decade now, and we can't say enough good about him. He goes out of his way to put his students first.. from the way he structures the coop and classes, to the way he leads a practice, challenging you wherever you are. He provides optional modifications to increase/decrease the challenge of your practice, encourages you to listen to your body and avoid injury, and shares insights on how to be a stronger, happier, healthier human being inside and out. He also goes out of his way to provide a welcoming space, and to make accessible some really interesting opportunities: sound baths, cacao ceremonies, yoga nidra, lectures, book releases, music, retreats, guest workshops, group acupuncture, and massage, and a lending library to name a few. And he's managed to keep his studio free of gear/attire sales, instead offering a kitchen/lounge space to make tea or have a light snack and chat. Sometimes he even bakes cookies. Who else does this? No one! Such a special place.

I have been really enjoying my classes here. The convenience of early classes and a shower before work or an easy quick drive after work has made this the ideal studio for me. As a yoga teacher myself, I don’t always get the chance to make my practice a priority, so finding the convenience in my day to day has been such a treat. Every teacher has their own gift and i have truly enjoyed each of their styles.

Very well run and professional place. Lots of classes to choose from at all hours of the day. Best to pre-register as the classes do fill up. My only complaint is class size—usually 40-50!—so personal attention and hands-on adjustments are rare. Teachers and staff are extremely helpful, however. And the physical facility is great: well-heated studio, a soft enough floor (not concrete), and good showers in the locker room.

Pranify Yoga in Seattle is a true gem for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice or simply find a moment of peace in their day. The studio offers a wide variety of classes, from gentle and calming flows to more intense, challenging sessions, ensuring that yogis of all levels can find something that suits their needs. The environment is warm, welcoming, and completely judgment-free, making it easy to feel at home no matter where you are in your yoga journey. The instructors are outstanding—knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about what they do. They provide thoughtful guidance, helpful modifications, and tools like blocks and straps to ensure everyone can practice safely and effectively. It’s more than just a studio—it’s a place where you can grow both physically and mentally. Five stars, without a doubt!

I started hot yoga recently to increase my flexibility and balance, and am so happy that I chose to begin my journey at Pranify. For a yoga newbie, Pranify has a good assortment of classes that vary in intensity and focus while also being unintimidating. The instructors are welcoming and are great at offering options during class, allowing each member to explore their individual path. The studio is clean and there are plenty of amenities. I appreciate that there are people of every skill level in every class—beginners take the same classes as more advanced students. I like that there’s no judgment. I highly recommend anyone thinking about either starting hot yoga or looking for a different yoga experience to check out Pranify.

I have had such a positive experience since starting to take classes at Pranify! The studio itself is beautiful and well maintained with easy free parking and I appreciate the diversity in styles of instructors. I especially enjoy the Roots classes, which have made me a yoga convert and the temperature is kept at the perfect level when you experience the heat's benefits without being overwhelmed. I would recommend giving it a try!

This is a 10/10 studio and community resource. I have only had positive experiences with the owner and every instructor. There is a wide range of instructors/styles/practices here! You will find someone that suits you, I myself really loved Amelia's classes in particular. Beautiful space and fair pricing that makes classes accessible for most. Thank you, Columbia City Yoga!

This is such a sweet space. I took Amelia’s class tonight, and the class was thoughtful, gentle and challenging, spacious and grounded and the perfect way to end my day. I look forward to more classes at this Columbia City gem.

This is by far one of my favorite yoga studios! I love the energy, really good vibes, the teachers are fantastic, and it’s located in a really fun neighborhood with great coffee, shopping, and food. The studio is clean, calming, and perfectly curated. So many great gifts and cool clothes to buy. I love, love, love this place!

Hello Columbia City Yoga, I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for your Virtual Gentle Yoga classes with Julie Fournier on Mondays and Wednesdays. I have multiple health challenges and most yoga classes, even gentle yoga classes, are too much for me. And attending a class in person is something I could do only occasionally. Finally, I have found a class that I can do regularly with a few modifications, that is available remotely and on my own schedule, that makes my body and mind feel better rather than worse. This is huge! I rarely view the class in real time, more often viewing the recording, but I'm doing it once or twice a week and have significantly more ease, more peace, and less pain. Thank you so much to Julie and to your whole organization for making this available. Jennifer Piper Woodinville WA

This is such a lovely studio. I teach here on occasion, as much as I can honestly because I love the atmosphere so much, and I couldn’t say more kind things about YoBe. The owners are so generous and they truly embody the spirit and energy of yoga (more so than I’ve seen in the Seattle area). The space is very calm and zen, perfect for establishing mental clarify as well as progress in one’s physical body. For anyone wishing to grow and learn in any way, this is the perfect place to do so. I strongly recommend this studio!

I've been going to Yoga on Beacon for a few years now and love it. Not fancy but clean and welcoming. Reminds me of a yoga studio I went to in Nepal. Nice variety of classes and fellow classmates are friendly.
