Best Yoga Studio near Corpus-christi, Texas

I’ve been a student at SOMOS since they’ve opened, and an instructor since May 2022. As a student, SOMOS was the first place I felt comfortable as a plus size newbie to try yoga. I had zero previous experience and was severely out of shape, mentally and physically. Now at this second location, they’ve brought the intimate, accepting atmosphere of the original studio at Six Points to a beautiful facility on the southside of corpus with plenty of practice space, a cold plunge, showers, and a sauna opening soon. I love taking classes here as a student, because every class and teacher are uniquely knowledgeable and healing. It’s one place where I can go to take a relaxing, non-heated restorative class, to an actively challenging hot vinyasa class, and everything in between. As an instructor, I’m so grateful to the team for giving me creative freedom over my class and supporting continuing education and professional growth ♥️ the community aspect of somos can’t be described other than feeling like you’re home, safe and accepted.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't express how grateful I am to have found Somos Yoga here in Corpus Christi! As a newbie to yoga, I was nervous stepping out of my comfort zone, but the instructors and staff immediately made me feel at home. Their kindness and support have been incredible, guiding me through each session with patience and encouragement. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or just starting out like me, Somos Yoga is the perfect place to be. The atmosphere is welcoming, the instructors are top-notch, and the overall experience has been nothing short of amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend Somos to anyone looking to embark on their yoga journey. It's truly a gem in our community!

Gretchen is the best yoga teacher in town, so experienced and creative. Able to adapt during a class because of her knowledge.

I love the heat, the flow and the instructor. Perfect blend of a yoga flow followed by the amazing cold towel in the end. I LOVE IT! ❤️

Really enjoyed my first session with Hotworx. The ladies there were very nice and helpful. I’m excited to try out all the different workouts.

TO CLARIFY: I was upset and no longer want to be part of this gym due to comments made about my body by other members, not the staff. The owner's response is unacceptable - in person when I tried to cancel my membership, I was told that the other members are allowed to say what they want. The environment isn't very body positive. I'm not the smallest and was made to feel pretty unwelcome. Also the cancellation fees are CRAZY and they make the process really difficult. You'd think they'd make it easier if they don't want chubby people at their gym

Do yourself a favor and don't sign a contract with this business. Jordan, the manager at this location (for only a few months btw) has now illegally charged my credit card for 3 months. I have documentation that I cancelled my membership, both via text and in writing with a letter personally delivered to the prior manager. I have documentation from the prior manager that I was only required to make one more $84 payment, which I did. And yet, Jordan cares about none of this documentation and continues to commit fraud in bad faith. She has personally ignored all of my legally binding written documentation and continues her fraudulent acts. I have reported the business and her personally to the Federal Trade Commission as repeated violations of the Fair Credit Billing Act.

HOTWORX is a great place to put in a workout. I highly recommend it to everyone. I have been a member since January 2024 and have seen the results. The Manager Sierra is professional and friendly all the time. She will take the time and explain everything that HOTWORK is about.....Alex
