The physical space is lovely. Most of the teachers are incredibly talented and welcoming. Upon my initial trials with this studio however, I was met with rudeness, abrupt and unwelcoming treatment, and overall disappointment from Beate, a teacher who’s name is plastered all over the schedule, making it difficult to find a class that was actually suitable to my personal comfort and needs. When I messaged the studio about my experience I never received a response. I continued attending classes for the next year however after purchasing a yearly membership. Upon purchasing said membership I noticed that the email clearly stated “ Price Increase 10/3/2023 ALL OF OUR CURRENT MEMBERS AS OF 9/30/23 WILL LOCK IN THIER CURRENT MEMBERSHIP RATE AND WILL NOT HAVE AN INCREASE! WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND ALL OF YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!“. My membership ended a couple of weeks ago. I had been considering buying a membership elsewhere but decided that I would enjoy the consistency of staying where I was familiar. Until I remembered the email! I messaged Payton, the owner, reference led the email from the previous year, and informed her that I would love to buy another yearly membership at that rate. Upon responding, she initially seemed more than happy to honor her discount. I realized that I may need a couple more weeks to save up the amount that I was expecting to pay and asked for an addition week. However, it was the beginning of the month so I had just finished paying bills and am also currently preparing to go back to school, so money was tight. I asked if we could simply wait another couple of weeks before charging the amount and was promptly given the impression that it was an issue. Apparently this was an issue because Payton then began to say that the memberships rates are typically only honored if I purchase the next membership before the initial one lapses. This was not communicated via the email that I referenced, nor was it ever discussed amongst any staff member before this. Rather than communicating with human decency, she made a point to imply that I was somehow in the wrong for asking her to honor a discount that she had offered in the first place. I’m disappointed with my experience overall and don’t plan on spending my money here again. I highly recommend hiring staff that has better interpersonal skills as a business owner and “wellness center”

I have been coming to elevation since March / April and I love this place ! I am constantly recommending this yoga studio to friends and coworkers! I have tried a few others here in town but this has been by far my favorite ! There’s a wide variety of classes every month which I love ! My favorite part would be the instructors — every instructor I have met here has been very knowledgeable, kind and so genuine! The owner Payton is very helpful and kind as well! She made the joining part easy and makes a intro packet for all new members :)

I LOVE this place. I’ve been taking yoga classes for 10 years and Elevation shines compared to those (which were all great). Instructors here offer their clients an array of mindfulness practices during class; clear pose instruction, cold eucalyptus towels, sound bathing, intention setting, etc. I’m always looking for yoga studios whose focus is equally split between mindfulness practice and the physicality that yoga offers - Elevation provides this. If you’re thinking about trying it out, DO IT. You won’t regret spending time here.

I am from Singapore and arrived in Albuquerque almost 3 years ago. With no familiar faces around this yoga community became my sole support to acclimatize to my new surroundings. It’s an amazing community and all of the instructors are unique fabulous in their own way … so sad to leave this amazing group of humans that will always remain in my heart ❤️

Yoga by Julia allowed me to try out a new form of exercise in addition to my running!! Laura was absolutely wonderful and very welcoming to me. I have gained a lot of foundational knowledge by going to this studio over the last 2 years. I highly recommend for anyone interested in trying out something new!

Julia created a wonderful studio where folks of all experience levels, shapes and sizes are welcomed and encouraged. I started yoga in Dec 2013, and have enjoyed terrific classes with a variety of instructors. When I can't attend the Intro classes, I go to Stress Release or Flow classes, always feeling welcomed by instructors and classmates. The spirit is very positive and even with challenging poses to learn, the experience is always fun. I've recommended Yoga by Julia to friends and family.

I’ve been at hotworx for a month so far. Everyone here is super friendly, it’s very clean and I can get a killer workout in. I love how flexible all the classes are. As a person who runs late constantly, there is always a session available to hop into. It is also helping me with boredom due to the wide variety of classes. On top of it all, I’m being challenged and growing each day.

Was so looking forward to trying HOTWORX, I'm so glad I did and was able to sign up same day thanks to Lynda who made the process so easy! The Iso workouts were very challenging but very fun and I felt super charged once I stepped out. Looks like I finally found a way to step my Functional Training/Cardio game up!

I first took advantage of their $30 for 30 days intro special when I saw they offered a Yin yoga class by Chris Ortega. Since then they've added a second class and I've become a member. If you are looking for a yoga studio that also includes a mindful and judgement free space, this is it. Yin yoga is a great way to ease yourself into practice if you haven't been practicing for a while or are new to yoga. Hopefully they'll add more of Chris' yin yoga to the schedule or maybe a meditation class led by him.

The classes are good and the prices are fair. However, they need to deep clean the facilities. When you walk in, it smells like man urine. And it gets even worse when walking into the hallway where the lockers are. It's pungent. The men's restroom is disgusting as well, I don't think it's been thoroughly cleaned for awhile and for a place to be sacred, it's doesn't feel safe to walk around bare foot. Not only this but a traditional Bikram Yoga class holds a temperature of 105°, one instructor prides himself in how high he puts the heat at 110° with little to no humidity. I had a severe heat rash all over my body and suffered 1st degree burns on my face. Just be careful ppl.

OH MY GOSH! Great studio! I have rediscovered Nirguna. Hadn't been in a few years just because it wasn't the closest studio to me, but I loved it when I went and I love it possibly more now! They are true to yoga practice and I feel like you don't only get the physical practice of yoga but also the mental engagement and some history and background. I am super interested in more than just the physicality of yoga but also the philosophy of it as a whole. Instructors often use the sanskrit words for poses in class (not only, but throw it in there more than I see at a lot of studios), they help guide you into deeper practice within poses and give you options. I love the studio. I feel like it isn’t all about the modern view of hot yoga and feel a lot of yoga classes I go to these days are just about the workout or getting a wild cardio burn and have lost the meaning of yoga practice. There is definitely a time and place for all of that, but I love that that isn’t the goal at this studio. Instructors are great! 10/10 recommend. -two studio rooms -Yoga teacher training available -As of writing this review 8/2024 they can be found/used with Fixmix •showers …. But only 2; this has never been an issue for me when I want to shower. •I will say the curtain to the women’s room is not my fav. There is a door, but it’s mostly always open. Review edited to be more objective :)

THE BEST experiences I have had at a yoga studio. I have been to yoga studios all over the country for the 20 years that I have been practicing. I recently finished 8 months of treatments for breast cancer. This road trip through Albequerque was my unwind and find my center following the end of my treatments. I started this review with experiences (plural) because there were multiple! Chris Ortega's Yin class was SUPURB. His delivery of instruction was steeped with genuine care. One could hear it in every word he spoke. And while holding a yin pose, his words were an additional healing element the sank deep into my muscles and joints. Scott Taylor's ropes class was an experience that was almost too beautiful for words. It was a smaller group and we all shared and talked.. but not in a small talk sort of way, in a really connecting way. I give credit to Scott for having pure and engaging hands-on care for everyone in that room. His care made us all feel safe and thus open up and truly connect with each other. Finally, and with hope that my humble words can do justice.. Robin Ramsey's Astanga and Mysore classes.. I had thought that I had to go to India for what Robin offers as a yoga teacher. Her knowledge is expert level. Her investment in her students is obvious in the intense focus of the yogis in her classes! And her hands-on adjustments were kind and exactly what I needed for the deep healing that I am embarking on after my bilateral mastectomy (and all that comes with that both physically and emotionally). I had spontaneous gratitude-filled tears for each of these 3 human beings that are gifts to me in my life. I am VERY tempted to relocate to Albuquerque to study yoga at Nirguna.

UPDATED REVIEW!! I changed my initial one star review to a four star after the owner kindly reached out to me after our negative experience. The email was thoughtful and I appreciated the care that was taken to try to make things right for my mom and I. I had to give this business a one star not due to the facilities or the practice but for the way my mom and I were treated by the instructor Emma at the 0800 hot yoga practice. We arrived at 0758 and I apologized for not being early as my mom and I were first timers to this studio. I told her if she could not accommodate due to our lateness that would be okay! She continued to check us in. Due to her choice to check us in class started at 0806. At the beginning of class she told the fellow students how sorry she was that some people didn’t value other people’s time and wasted it by being late. She thanked everyone else for being on time to class. This was obviously directed at my mom and I which made the rest of the practice slightly awkward for my mom who is very shy and polite. I think as a business this rudeness is completely uncalled for. My mom and I were going to sign up for your 5 class package but I refuse to pay for anything more than the one class. My mom did fall in love with Deloris who teaches at 1000. She was so kind to my mom and I hurrying to get us mats and towels and telling my mom about other classes that were more on her level that she could take as this hot yoga was a little hard for her. Exceptional, sweet, kind attitude which is what I’ve become accustomed to in my yoga practice. Hope this helps!

I absolutely love this studio and the teachers I've taken class with! After returning to yoga from a long hiatus and new baby, I feel I'm getting the guidance, support and inspiration I need to delve even deeper this time. I've even gotten my husband to go with me and it's the best date night idea ever! Special kudos to Reed - he's a phenomenal teacher and yogi!

HOTWORX has been such a great place to get in a great variety of workouts in a peaceful environment! The sauna heat helps to loosen your muscles so you get the most out of your workout in a speedy amount of time. I love the hot bands and hot iso workouts the most!

I absolutely ❤️ HOTWORX. The infrared sauna workouts, guided by trainers on the TVs is top tier. I love that you have 24hr access and must book online. Which allows you more privacy while your body cries. 🤣💦😰 My favorite sessions are Thunder Row, Hot Blast, & Hot Warrior. I have noticed a huge difference from increased flexibility, better digestion and of course a slimmer figure. The facility is always clean, & the eucalyptus spray gives the added aromatherapy during your sesh & clears out BO. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend 😉
