I have lived in Aurora nearly my whole 73 years of life, Only in the last 6 years have I really gotten involved at the Aurora Center for Active Adults-- It's a wonderful center and lots of activities. I've even met a few friends that also enjoy similar woodworking and Bridge games as I do. Highly recommend other seniors come join in the socialization.

I attend line dance lessons there twice a week. And, with "Silver Sneakers" program its free. I met most of the friends I have in Colorado at the Aurora Center for Active Adults. Hot lunch is also served there daily.

We just had our son's 3rd birthday there, and it was perfect!! The staff was so kind and helpful. His birthday was stress free! We had a ton of fun in the pool. Everything was super clean too. I can't recommend this rec enough!

This pool is amazing! It’s so cool having a wave pool and a lazy river, keeps the kids real entertained. Note to - everyone - the wave pool and slide don’t tend to open till noon or after.

Overall a nice facility. I've only used the pool so this is a review of the pool only. Been there a few times and the wave machine was on for a few minutes and then it was off ever since. Lifeguard said it comes on 10-15 minutes per hour. Lazy river is nice except the bottom is rough concrete, overall it is nice. What stood out is the fact that the deepest area (in any pool) is 3'-4' or so, I like to swim in deep water. Seems the pool is centered around kids except the lap pool. The lap pool is also shallow and colder than the other pools which is nice when used as intended-nice job there. The lifeguards are on top of things which I appreciate. I wish the lifeguards would periodically walk through the locker room (bring a lock) to keep order. My first time there, someone had thrown a burrito against the lockers and smeared it around. I also was annoyed that the suit spinner drains right onto the floor-not good if you already put your shoes on. Hard to believe that they forgot to plumb for a drain behind the tile, maybe the spinner was an afterthought, but the floor in that area is never dry. I noticed the amount of complaints about the water and I agree that the water could be treated differently. Lots of saline in the water and you definitely are more buoyant. Cannot comment about the hot tub as I have not been in it. The SE Rec Center is having pool issues and is closed for a bit so this is where I can come and swim around. No deep end though?

I love this rec center! All of the staff members are super friendly and the pool and hot tub and lazy pool are awesome! Lap pool is super chilly, but the lazy pool has a little wave pool behind it that is really warm. Kids also like the slide 😁

I've trained in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and the Denver area. Terry is by far the best coach in Colorado. He's coached me on and off for 18 years. Very knowledgeable in not just combat sports but all around fitness and nutrition. He knows how to make training fun for beginners as well. No matter your experience or fitness level, Terry will make sure you get a great work out that will keep you coming back for more. 💪🏼🥊

Terry is friendly, knowledgeable and provides an engaging environment that supports learning for my two kids and myself. With 1.1 training is a great fit for families that need accommodation with kiddos with sensory needs. Would highly recommended.
