I had a fantastic experience at my son's taekwondo school. The instructors are professional, friendly, and dedicated. My child has developed discipline and confidence under their guidance. I highly recommend this school!

Rami Elite offers wonderful programs for people of all ages. They provide not only lessons in self defense but in self confidence, teamwork, respect for yourself as well as others and self discipline. All the staff members are professional, patient and welcoming. My son is a handful and through Rami’s efforts in working with him I have seen such a positive change.I HIGHLY (100000000% 😊) recommend this studio. You will not be disappointed!!!

Rami is a great place to train especially for your kids. Rami is tough and stern, not soft like some other coach’s. He has a lot of experience and he definitely makes you work hard. Definitely recommend going to Rami Elite.

My kids and I have been training at Rami Elite for roughly 2 years now. It's a great place to train. Rami is a firm, no nonsense trainer who demands the best from his students.

One of the best gyms I’ve been to! The coaches are incredible and the community they’ve built is amazing. A week in and I can already feel myself getting stronger.. If you’re looking to get into kickboxing, do yourself a favor and give this place a shot - you won’t regret it!

My old gym closed and I quickly found Fight Club. I was nervous cause I loved my old gym but thankfully this was the perfect replacement (possibly even better). It’s a small family gym where everyone knows everyone and they are extremely welcoming for people of any size. I like that they have levels as well so you really get what you’re paying for. Highly recommend if you’re looking to kickstart your fitness journey, or just for some fun class fitness!

Great gym, great coaches, great community! This is a very welcoming environment to people of all experience levels. I love the variety of classes offered. From classic muay thai pad work, to sparring, to more CKO-style fight fitness courses to yoga, FCP's got it all

First time at the club and it was awesome. My son is a member and they were super encouraging and had a fun but strenuous workout. Highly recommended!

I've been coming to FCP since April 2021. Without their support, I'd have never been able to lose over 100 lbs. Every day they challenge the member to be "better than yesterday." I'm so grateful to be part of this gym!

Love all of the Balance locations though this one is something special. Phil and Ricardo's knowledge and mastery, as always, combined with the addition of Frank Ambrifi's skill and expertise make this training experience intensely motivating and rewarding. As a female in a contact sport, I have always felt safe and encouraged to be my best.

I’m in Philadelphia for the week for work and dropped by to take their Muay Thai class. I got a chance to chat with the owner, Phil. Super nice guy and let me join in BJJ also. Ben was also great. I enjoyed the class a lot. It’s different than what I’m used to in the gym back home but it was fun to experience how other gyms train and taught me some new things. If I’m ever in Philly again, I will definitely be stopping by to train here.

I've been training at this gym for almost three years, and every class is incredible. Phil Migliarese, Frank Ambrifi, and all of the other instructors here pay tremendous attention to detail in the techniques they teach, and I feel like my Jiu Jitsu has improved enormously since I began training here. The atmosphere is super welcoming to newcomers, whether you're new to the gym or Jiu Jitsu entirely. I can't recommend this gym enough!

My name is Justin Garcia and I am a black belt in BJJ. I have been visiting Balance for training for about 6 years now and I can vouch for not only the world class training and instruction, but the sincere intentions of it's owners. It's not only about techniques at Balance, but the benefits one's Martial Arts academy is supposed to provide it's members. Great job, Phil and Ricky!

I train out in NJ but I go to Balance to train when I am in Philly and this place is fantastic. The instruction and facilities are top notch. As a woman in the sport sometimes it is hard walking into a place not knowing what kind of atmosphere you'll find. Women are an important part of this school and I have always been made to feel very welcome.

This is a great bjj school. I got to spend almost 3 months training here, wish I could stay longer. I have never tried bjj before coming here and I got insane skill progression in just a couple of months. The schedule is amazing, you can go to classes both before and after work on weekdays and go to open mat on weekends. At first I was really nervous to train not only with women but with men too, but the community is so friendly here that I got comfortable quickly. And all the instructors are super helpful and willing to spend time on you. Huge respect to Mike for building such a wonderful community.

Our daughter has attended the kids classes here for almost 4 years. The coaches are incredible with the kids. They offer a great balance of fun, challenge and encouragement, letting them play but also pushing them and challenging them to grow both in strength and skill but also in being respectful and responsible. We're so happy we found Shorty's!

Awesome gym with chill folks that are both strong and technical. Dropped in for a no gi class while visiting Philly and everyone was friendly, cool, and had solid skills. Will definitely be back!

I’ve trained at Shorty’s for nearly a year now. It’s been great to see the growth from a small, humble location to the current facility. The main instructor Mike Short and training partners are dedicated to supporting your development. Mike stays up to date with the latest jiu-jitsu techniques, competes in national and international tournaments, follows professional grappling, and trains with world class practitioners to ensure students are receiving the best modern instruction. Class structure: Warm-ups, technique drills, live drilling or open rolls. Facilities: Large primary mat space and secondary mat space in another room. Changing rooms, bathroom, and shower. Shelves for storage. Water cooler. Shorty’s Jiu-Jitsu is great for beginners, casual practitioners, or competitors.

I’m a beginner that was looking for a sport that I could tolerate and do routinely. After trying a few things, I found this gym and figured I’d try BJJ. If you can’t stand the idea of aimless exercising, then a martial arts like BJJ might be a good way to trick your brain into intense movement. Yes. That was literally my rationale for trying the sport out. Anyways this gym is very welcoming of all levels of fitness, the teachers are extremely knowledgeable, and there’s a community vibe. I’m happy I found this place and would recommend to others who find solo exercises at the gym to be mind numbing. BJJ as a sport is fun and confidence building.

Had an awesome time here learning Muay Thai. Judah is an exceptional teacher who really knows his stuff. The vibes here are great, and they also have a really sweet little gym area for strength/flexibility training. Highly recommend.

Judah is an attentive, patient and passionate student of martial arts. The care he has for his classes and students alike is a defining characteristic of his instruction. He teaches with heart as much as he does with an attention to technique. You will find in him a wealth of experience both as an instructor and competitor. He is clear and easy to understand-a fundamentals class that benefits even the most experienced grappler or striker-and very engaging. His experience as an instructor and competitor for many years makes him a singular student and teacher-in-one who can help you achieve your goals. It’s amazing to see how Keren and Judah join forces and built an academy from the ground up. Keren’s experience as a photographer and yoga instructor, jiujitsu practitioner, mother and entrepreneur is a testament to her work and artistry. I value their perspectives and approach to training: keep it fun, healthy and sustainable. Training with these two has been such a positive experience. I am thankful to have spent time with each of them on the mats. Connecting, learning and smiling each and every time. Something that they cultivate within and without: improving the lives of others. The Garden MMA academy will invite people of many backgrounds, talents and diverse skills. Don’t miss out on open mats or classes for your little sprouts 🌱 Sign up and become a part of The Garden.

My wife and I attended our first class, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The instructor was incredibly patient, breaking down the moves and combinations in a way that was easy to understand, even for beginners like us. We left feeling like we got a fantastic workout, plus we learned some great new techniques. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we’re already looking forward to next week’s class. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an engaging and supportive workout environment!

The facility is beautiful. The mats are clean and top of the line. Judah is a wonderful coach, very knowledgeable, patient and breaks down every move in a way that you understand the mechanics of the move, when and why it would be effective in a match and how to defend, a true understanding of the art of eight limbs and bjj. Judah is such a positive and passionate coach that it's hard not to feel welcomed and a part of the team the moment you walk through the doors. The wealth of knowledge is apparent, whether it is in muay thai or Brazilian jiujitsu. You can't find a finer facility in the city. Judah and Keren have brought a truly great academy to reality and I can't recommend it more. I have trained at many gyms over the years and have never felt more at home than I have here.

The Garden MMA is truly a gem in the heart of the Germantown community, located conveniently near Wayne Junction. Juda and Keren have created an inspiring and safe space that caters to everyone—whether you’re experienced, new, a hobbyist, or a competitor. If you value authenticity, community. and a raw, real environment, The Garden MMA delivers. I’m especially impressed by the gym’s cleanliness, the thoughtful use of the space, and its ideal location—close to my home and the R1 train station. The layout is both functional and calming, with big, bright windows that let in natural light, creating a zen-like, feng shui atmosphere as you train. In the winter, the warm and cozy vibes are exactly what you need. The inclusivity here is a major plus. They offer women’s self-defense and yoga classes, making the gym welcoming for everyone. I felt completely at ease during my visit and am excited to sign up for a membership in January. I highly recommend checking out The Garden MMA—this gym is truly special!
