So I’m a regular member at this planet fitness, I consider most of people in this gym like a family, but last night was horrible experience for me, last night I wasn’t there to workout and I was using restroom being a black card member,as I’m a regular member when leaving I meet some friends and they chat you up for like a 2 min chat how’s work and everything , and this lady working at the gym cancelled my membership with the reason “ Out of uniform” if I’m out of uniform please share the video of me even touching the equipment as if I’m going to use it ! , I’m having here back issue and I can’t even walk properly, you can see the video of me entering around 11pm or 11.10pm , if my body language says I can workout !, It’s a disgrace and I feel sad while writing this review , but I think regular people like me that create a family environment at the gym need to be treated well and not rudely ! I’m happy to workout there but want no interaction with her I’ve been coming here more than 18 months. Also the same lady keeps bringing up 12th November issue when I was Harassed by 3 planet fitness members and rather not looking at the issue in details, she brings that topic up every time she can as if she’s doing me a favor letting my membership up “also legal action was taken on the guy that harassed me” so you know who was at fault and so I want to reach out to the manager and the owner that always keep up the board for new people to hire ! I think you all should do a mental assessment of who to hire ! You can reach out to me for further details .

Worst and most run-down PF location I have seen so far. It's a pity because it's one of the very few that is open 24/7, I came to check it out since the one in Falls Church does ridiculous hours during the weekend, but it really feels nasty to workout here (and I am in the army..) finding a pair of matching dumbells is like a treasure hunt, people leave dirty paper towels on the floor, I saw one guy putting the dumbells on the floor instead of re-racking, maybe it's custom doing that here 🤷♂️. Showers are dirty as well.

Planet Fitness of Alexandria Kenmore Ave is absolute rubbish. It's very dirty and dark, like a grave. The people managing it are incredibly unprofessional; since I first saw it, I never wanted to go back. For almost a year, they've been deducting money automatically from my account, putting me in a contract without explaining it. When I visited, the staff were very unprofessional, and there was a bad smell around. One guy started behaving unprofessionally towards me. The next day, when I called, they said my membership was in the process of cancellation, yet they've still been deducting money from my account for two months. It's a shame that they misguide their clients.

Not a great Planet Fitness. The only good thing about the gym is it is open 24/7 and has a large parking lot to park in. It is located on a semi-basement level next to an arcade that wreaks of fried food. The level of maintenance and cleanliness in this gym is severely lacking. Benches are ripped and machines have large build up of dust and goop. Finally, good luck getting consistent phone signal in the gym. Because the gym is on a semi-basement level, there are no windows and without connecting to the wifi your phone may have a hard time getting a fast and consistent connection.

I used to go to this gym a few years ago, back then the equipments were clean and fresh. Now, after 10 years revisiting Alexandria; nothing, absolutely nothing has changed!! No new equipment, full of rust, not well taken care!!! Its better to go somewhere else.

D1 has been a perfect gym for me! Its small size and small class size makes everyone feel welcome. The class schedule is convenient to be able to fit in a workout around work/life demands. Starting as a beginner, the coaches were great at working with me on form and modifications. The workout programming keeps the classes interesting and you are able to build skills and your strength. I’ve never been stronger! The best part of D1 is the community. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging. If you want the feel of personal training in a small group environment, this gym is a great fit for you.

A great atmosphere! I’ve been coming to D1 for about 2 months now and I feel right at home. Everyone takes the time to actually get to know you and help with any fitness needs. It’s a very inviting environment and lovely place to make your fitness goals come true! When I first joined, I took the noon classes with Keith - what a fun class, however, the time did not work with my schedule. I started coming to the 6am class with Travis and let me tell you - I LOVE IT! I have found my place and my gym family. I highly recommend D1 to anyone.

Took my first class at D1 Alexandria yesterday. I am a fitness professional and love to try different gyms, so when their extraordinary Director of Business Development, Carolyn, invited to come try D1 Alexandria, I jumped on the opportunity. I’ve been to many gyms over the years and I can tell you that this place is really special. Jack welcomed me to the studio, explained the workout to me, showed me around the studio, and answered any questions I had. I took a noon class with Keith Trumps. Keith was knowledgeable, personable, motivating, and had amazing energy, which translated to everyone getting a great workout. The programming was thoughtfully put together, hard, and fun in the best way possible. The people in class welcomed me as part of their group, even though they all seemed to know each other. The environment was energetic, inclusive, and positive; everyone was working hard and encouraging each other. They are well set-up to support novice to experienced athletes. Great gym! I highly recommend you check them out if you are in the area.
