Great equipment, always being cleaned and maintained by the staff. People of all skill levels willing to help out and give advice. I came here as a guest with a friend, and was quite impressed by the quality, especially when I heard the price.

Shock and awe! Houston Y's just slammed us with 44% price increases in 2025 (Senior singles now $65 from $45, which was no great bargain). Bad enough that food, rent and Medicare inflation has bled us dry! Wizards at 'corporate' needing a raise? Egging for younger clientele? Dubious, as my Y will always be grey haired, and younger folks have many upscale alternatives at similar prices. To note, no digs on Weekley Y or its people. They're great, and I'm sure this mistake was beyond their control. But a 44% increase? In a feckless email that boasts of new, low value benefits like "citywide access?" Seriously? 99% of Seniors go to the same place, always (we like our neighborhoods). I'm now forced to use my apartment's meager gym, or find a cheaper place. Thank you, Wizards at Y, for making Senior Life more difficult!

I am a member of years in Cypress I end up going to this location a d the lady at the entrance was so unpolite and not welcoming at all she mentioned that she never seen me at the Y. out of no where she gave me her name like knowing I was gonna write a feedback. the person have no customers service skill at all. I love the Y in Cypress unfortunately the experience I had here was not great

I really like this Ymca. The only thing I don’t like is that nearly all classes no matter what is spiced up with music. Pilates, yoga and stretching I would prefer without in order to concentrate better on breathing and relaxation. But otherwise I’m really grateful that we have such a place in our neighborhood!

This is the best gym I have ever been to. I mean it’s so clean, everything you need is there, and it pays for itself. I love the sauna & steam rooms! The basketball courts are so clean, and are some fun runs. There are so many squat racks, and tons of equipment to choose from! The pool on the roof is the icing on the cake. Sometimes I just go out and sit there and just enjoy the beautiful weather up there, and a Houston sunset up there is so great! I love coming here!

If you’re looking for a huge gym that has a whole lot of equipment, this is it. Too bad that they can’t make repairs in a timely way. And equipment is filthy from morning till night. Black stretch mats are dirty, just look at the towel that was used to wipe before use. Never have ever seen them cleaning. Clean gyms have crews moving from piece to piece of equipment while you work out. Just visit any Planet Fitness to see how cleaning can be done. Moldy AC vents. Wish there were other options in the area.

Lifetime has trainers that bring LOUD boomboxes onto the weight floor which, put the decibel level over 90 -- high enough to cause hearing loss. I recommend bose earbuds -- their noise cancelling's the best. Also the clientele is not what you would consider professional, so even with earbuds you're not missing anything. Gym is huge but locker room is dinky, making it up close and personal for a supposedly premium facility. The outdoor pool (no indoor unfortunately) is both heated and chilled, but recently they haven't kept the temp at 80, so I may have to cancel. I hear parking has become a problem on weekends. Cleanliness is good and equipment is well maintained.

Been utilizing this gym for about 2 years. Great facilities , amenities, events, and staff. The community of gym goers is worth noting as well. Machines are maintained and repaired very timely, and rarely too overcrowded to get in a good workout. It is expensive compared to your typical gym which would be the major drawback.

Agree with comments about poor HVAC system and low caliber of many members especially those of us paying $280/ month who expect a nicer experience. Looking for another gym due to overcrowding and many low class no manners people - swarmed with those getting in via BCBS TX for 100/month. Parking getting in and out during peak times add 20 mins that I don't have to waste.

KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I signed my son up to participate in the YMCA’s youth basketball league. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. At this particular location, nothing is organized. The first day of practice no one knew who was coaching the team and practice got rescheduled. At the first game, the coached never showed forcing someone else to step in who had no knowledge of the players. The receptionist at the front desk never knew what was going on at the facility and communicated incorrect information. Save your money and save your time. It’s not worth the headache. Update: All in all I have since seen improvement at this location. Still not perfect but they are making strides.

When did the YMCA start being closed on Sundays? They charge $60 for a membership to be closed on Sundays? I’m disappointed! I’m not gone lie, I’m pissed! The group exercise classes are made for elderly people because they are very low impact. They also used to have a teen camp here during the summers that they no longer have. Why are yal closed on Sundays?!

Oh my God, I am absolutely in love with Trotter Family YMCA! I came here with a friend for the first time to play pickleball, and it instantly won me over. They have a dedicated court setup in one of the gym rooms, and the layout is fantastic. The lines are clearly marked, and it doesn’t overlap with any other courts, so it feels private with ample space to move around. There’s only one court in this section, making it the perfect setup for a focused game. They even offer a second court option for pickleball on Sundays by converting part of the basketball court. With a divider screen in place, one side can be used for basketball while the other hosts pickleball, allowing everyone to play without disruption. The entire facility is clean and impressively well-organized, with amenities for everyone. There’s a swimming pool and numerous rooms dedicated to classes like Pilates, yoga, spinning, and racquetball. The regular gym section is stocked with the latest equipment, making workouts even more enjoyable. The staff here is attentive and super friendly, enhancing the experience. The Trotter Family YMCA truly captures the charm of a well-designed, community-centered facility. Highly recommended!

The building is very old and sometimes feels too warm during the summer. There are no workout or lockeroom towels and you must bring your own lock. I found some nasty toe nail clippings in the men's locker room as I was changing before my workout. And finally, after I canceled my membership, I was still being charged for several months and wasn't refunded. I don't recommend this gym to any working professionals in the area.

I love this fitness center! I switch from 24 hour fitness to here and never looked back! Their pool is heated and their changing rooms are kept clean! They also have zero flooding damage on the ceiling tiles which is impressive for a building that is over 20 years old unlike other newer fitness centers in the galleria. My favorite thing about this fitness center is the fact that the patrons don’t treat this place like it is a speed dating event so that I don’t have to spend my entire working out routine declining coffee and tea dating invitations. Did I mentioned I love their pool already! I love their pool! I recently went to the doctor and they told me I’m prone to osteoporosis and that I have tendon loss on one of my knees likely from the years of running track since high school so swimming here has become a better alternative to costly knee surgery. Would be cool if they had one of them climbing walls machines where the wall drops as you try to climb it but I’m not complaining. I just walk from home 1.5 miles just to weight lift and swim daily then walk back another 1.5 miles. I only get bum out when there is bad weather bc I can’t swim and doing out of the water workouts isn’t as much fun as actually swimming.

I like this location because of the racquetball court and the staff is friendly Today, 12/28/2024, I was playing with a friend and slipped multiple times from something that was not cleaned up all the way, I let the guy who checks people in, he tells me he used the room earlier and slipped as well. He said the cleaning people would take care of it overnight so anyone playing today: Please be careful in racquetball court #2

Absolutely amazing gym and amazing equipment. But the staff at the front desk at night literally suck man. I tried adding my family member to the gym membership and they did everything to just make it an absolute nightmare of an experience. Firstly they claimed we weren’t even family? Then refused to help us through the app. If I’m willing to pay for my family membership I believe it shouldn’t be such a stupid unnecessary tedious chores. This gym has been an amazing gym to me but the night shift front counter people are absolutely the worst if you expect to have questions about adding FAMILY members to family pass. Besides that amazing gym amazing employees Amazing people who also attend. Just the night shift front counter wants to make their job way harder tedious and overall stupid then what it needs to be and they are fully aware of it

I’ve been a loyal Lifetime Fitness member since 2018, but my recent experience at the Champions location has left me extremely disappointed. When transferring my membership back to this location, I was met with unnecessary hurdles just to get started. Once I managed to restart my membership, I was shocked by a significant price increase, which they claimed was due to switching locations. This makes no sense to me because the club level at Champions is identical to the Lifetime Atascocita location I came from. Nothing has changed to justify such an increase. On top of that, I was provided a phone number for the corporate office, but it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone. I’ve tried calling multiple times without success. This lack of accessibility and customer care is incredibly frustrating. I am honestly in disbelief at how Lifetime Fitness has handled this situation. It’s upsetting to see how much the company has changed, especially after being a committed member for so many years.

This place is the most ghetto lifetime, if you have the ability to go to a different Lifetime you should, let me start off by saying that the kids daycare is very hot. Most of the time the AC is broken I go about five days a week and out of those five days at least three days my daughter is drenched in sweat and I usually go in the mornings when it’s not too hot I always ask the staff what’s wrong with the AC and the only answers I get is that they’re working on it. I have been going to this facility built for about five months and I get the same responses, now in terms of the gym equipment they’re always working on the cardio machines because there’s always some that are broken. Posted a picture of the leg extension machine which hurts if you’re wearing shorts it’s leather so as it starts cracking, it starts to hurt your skin. They don’t have conditioner or lotion or many of the other toiletries like the other Lifetime locations, sucks that every time you ask the manager, he will take it up to Coorporate and I guess Coorporate isn’t listening because this place sucks. The only great thing about it is the staff at the daycare and that’s what keeps me in that gym because there is no other gym in the area that offers such great childcare. But for $200 a month you would think that this place would be better.

Place is good in general but needs to have better upkeep. The lockers are dirty and some look like they haven't been cleaned in months. Some of the equipment seems pretty old. The cleaning stations sometimes don't have wipes. The pickleball courts are pretty clean and look new though.

I recently visited Life Time with a family member who brought me there, and I was interested in getting a personal trainer. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience with a guy named Kyle. I had a question about personal training, but Kyle was incredibly rude and acted like I wasn't even there. He made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. We tried reaching out to the general manager, Matt, but he hasn't responded at all. Because of this experience, I would never consider buying a membership at Life Time.

Fantastic and modern YMCA! Compared to others I’ve visited, this one stands out as the most up-to-date. The front desk staff is always friendly and eager to help with any questions I have. Equipment and weights are consistently clean and well-maintained, creating a top-notch experience. This YMCA offers an excellent variety of amenities and activities at a cost-effective price. It's perfect for individuals and families alike, featuring diverse programs that cater to different needs. In my opinion, the YMCA is one of the best values for its price, combining quality, cleanliness, and opportunities for everyone to enjoy.

An excellent variety of programs and features with incredibly friendly staff. The value of the services and options is unmatched at any other gym or community center. We are greeted by welcoming staff every time we enter. This is not just at the main desk, but every time we enter through the outdoor pool, enter to drop off the little one at the child watch center, enter to the main pool to talk to the life guards, enter a fitness class, or just about anywhere that we enter. In case you missed the subtle comments above, in addition to all your standard gym or community center offerings of gym equiment, basketball, walking, etc., this place also has and OUTDOOR pool with small water slides, indoor pool with hot tub area, a child-watch area to so that parents can enjoy the other offerings, and fitness classes all included. This is all at a FAMILY price that is less than 1 or 2 memberships to any other local gym with an outdoor pool.

I think this location is great! (I’m personally only here for the childcare so I can workout) As a first time mom I was nervous of the child care system but the staff was actually SUPER great at handling all my questions and concerns. I was a bit disappointed that I can’t see the room my child is in nor can I go in and see what the room looks like & while I understand the reasons, it’s a bit odd. They don’t change the babies diapers or give them snacks, so don’t expect that of them(I like this rule personally and they have restrooms nearby that you can change them before going in and a lounge area that you can feed them before they go in too). Overall the staff is sweet and my daughter had a blast her first day. I do wish there was a camera system in the room that parents who are scanned in and in the facility can use to see how it’s going cause I feel like in todays age, I rather know my kid is safe and isn’t being mishandled (which as parents we know some childcare facilities have been in lawsuits for things). The only thing about the child care that kinda sucks for me is that they are closed from 1pm - 4pm which is right around the the time I wanted to bring my little one in cause it’s her wake time. So if I end up finding somewhere with a better schedule that suits us, I may cancel at some point but for now, I think the staff is what’s keeping me signed up here. The gym area is actually very big and has a ton of great equipment! Platforms, kb’s, hack squat machine, turf area and so much more! People mind their business and just workout, the pool area is clean. Their indoor basketball court is a great size with a track on top. I think it’s great personally! I’ve attached the kids hours so others moms can see if it fits their schedule. 💕 Edit/update: as a former manager/gym worker, the staff is always kind! however, I see a lot of them standing around. The women’s restrooms need repairs and a deep clean, stall handles are loose and the locking mechanism for the stalls don’t even work. Some of the machines in the weight area need a repair man to come out and fix the cables, platforms need a good steam for less slippery feel.

O and sad that there is no sauna or steam room.

The instructors are great. What I love even more is that the YMCA is a family. We care about each other. We look out for each other. We’ve made friends in our classes. We don’t go there just to work out. We go there to work out with our friends and see our friends. We go out to eat with each other sometimes. There are class Facebook groups. I moved to Utah a few months ago and I miss this family. I still keep up with them through the Facebook groups. I was in town 2 weeks ago and went and to work out at a couple classes. They were so happy to see me and it was like I never left. My new gym isn’t like that. Even the workers in the machine room get to know you. The staff when you walk in are so friendly. I don’t have that here. You don’t find this at too many other gyms.

I have attended this gym for the past six months for the morning CrossFit Altus class at 5:00 a.m. the instructors are wonderful, the facility is clean, and I feel safe. I have utilized the facilities including the steam room, fitness area (stair climber mostly), pool, and locker room. I know other gyms may be cheaper but I feel that this place is a real asset to the community.

I used to go here 15 years ago when it was called The Wellness Center. It was a wonderful environment, quiet, not overly crowded, smoothie bar, classes, everything that you could ask for. Even back then, it was expensive for a 4 day membership Th-Su was $40.00 a month. I was thinking of returning, but after reading the bad reviews....never mind.

This is a great gym. Located within the University grounds, it's open to the public. They have an entire floor of gym / exercise equipment, pools, spa, saunas (dry and wet), basketball court, tons of classes from crossfit and power lifting to jiu jitsu. Yes, it's more expensive than your typical planet fitness type gym, but you get so much more. the showers are new, locker rooms have plenty of room with built-in locker keys, and the trainers are first rate. I've seen some negative reviews and they don't make any sense. Every one who works here is courteous and always available to help. I've been going here for three years and have never had a negative interaction with anyone. Can't recommend it more.

We toured the facility for trying to switch from another gym. Monthly membership pricing is reasonable but they really need to renovate and improve the facility. Long dark hallways with very old fixtures. Very few cardio machines had tv and all of them were taken on a saturday afternoon which is a slower day. There is no indoor pool so if kids want to learn swim, thats not an option in the winter. Kids area timings are not very conducive for weekends but the good thing is that kids above a certain age can also workout in the cardio area. The lockers and bathrooms were clean but definitely very outdated and old. Unfortunately we will be looking for another option for our gym needs.

I'm an early riser and I workout in the gym with my 4 son's multiples times a week. The most important part of my day is coming in to see Miss Valerie every morning. The facility is beautiful. The staff is great and all the extracurricular actives are wonderful. A special thanks to Swim Instructor Kelton, he is super calm and attentive. Swim Instructor Izzy is over the TOP excellent, she has just enough firmness and patience with the little ones. We love when she's in the swim class with the little ones.
