Best Gyms with Locker Rooms With Showers near Jersey-city, New-jersey

(+) This gym is probably one of the largest in Jersey City, located right in the heart of Grove Street. The facility spans two floors and includes various zones for training, from machines to strength training. The gym has convenient locker rooms with private changing cabins and lockers, as well as a sauna and steam room. (-) Not all bars are in perfect condition. During peak hours, it can be challenging to get access to equipment due to the high number of visitors. My favorite times to train are from 9 AM to 12 PM or 12 PM to 3 PM. Overall, a great gym!

This is probably the best gym around Jersey City, good location, wide range of equipments, offer changing room and sauna, but… it is not always well polished. First thing I noticed is, during summertime, their AC was set to a temperature that would be considered a bit too warm for doing sports. And the changing room & shower room smells really bad during winter days- and to be fair, likely bodily odor rather than odors from sewers/toilets, so not sure how it can be fixed (better ventilation?) their equipments are overall old as well. And, whenever you are doing sit-ups you will see the horrible ceilings(see pictures)

Huge, clean, and toms of amenities and classes. My wife and I signed up recently and have loved it. It’s pricier than other options but includes access to all fitness classes. The locker rooms include a sauna and steam room and has always been clean. We never had to wait for machines as it wasn’t too crowded. Would highly recommend!

I've had plenty of memberships throughout my time working out and this by far has been the best. The staff is extremely friendly, the locker room is clean and has good security. The barbell room is great for power lifting and the classes for Yoga and Mobility helped me get way better at strengthening my core. Can't recommend it enough!

Base is a great place to relax, learn and exercise. There are so many fun classes and stuff here are really friendly. It’s my go-to place on a weekly basis. And there is no bad smell at all as it’s very spacious and well-maintained. Recommend!!！

Thank you to Melissa and Autumn for organizing the wonderful day retreats. I had attended two so far - one at Mt. Tammany and another at Jersey beach—and both were exceptionally well-organized and enjoyable. These retreats offer a fantastic opportunity to meet new people while engaging in a perfect blend of physical activities like yoga and hiking, along with exploring the local community of New Jersey. The pricing is very reasonable. Looking forward to future events. 😊

She has a unique way of pushing us out of our comfort zones on the mat, which has profoundly impacted my life off the mat as well. I dropped into a yoga class here while I was visiting the area and I loved it! The teacher, Melissa, was awesome! I liked the flow or transitions through class and she gave good alignment cues so I know what I was doing. And awesome playlist!

Powerflow Yoga in jersey city is great! The studio is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need or want and the instructors are fantastic! I just took Melissa G’s class. It was challenging for me but Melissa makes everyone, regardless of ability or experience feel welcomed and offers optional advice specific to each student to help you benefit completely from your practice:)

I've only been practicing yoga for about two years but someone in my building told me to seek out Jeff Scios who I found at Power Flow Yoga in Jersey City. The studio itself is a really great place to practice and all of the instructors are top-notch. Jeff, definitely stands out of all the places I've practiced. If you're looking for a total mind, body and spirit reset, get yourself to one of Jeff's classes. He gives above and beyond each and every class and goes out of his way to enlighten, encourage and educate his students with knowledge you could only get from a true guru master. Thank you, Jeff! You definitely make the world a lot more tolerable to navigate through!

Very good swimming pool.. 4 feet to 15 .. pretty cheap ..just $600 for family per annum. I got to know that it includes basketball courts, racketball counts and gym. Gym is average but has everything that anyone would need. They have sauna room as well.

They have recently done some renovations in the entry, don't know if more are to come, but the pool area could use sprucing up. I haven't been in the gymnasium, I have to admit so I can't comment on that.

Nice updates to the gym and first floor. No bathrooms on the main level which I'd tough for those on crutches or have difficulty walking

Excellent gym, spotlessly clean and equipment is well maintained. Location is ideal as it is near PATH for anyone commuting to/from Jersey City. For locals, it's easily accessible through the Newport Mall. Personal trainers are readily available and provide practical and professional guidance. Pricing is fair and competitive. Highly recommend this gym to anyone considering a membership.

I love this gym, this year I have been a user for two years, it is near the Newport Mall, near the Path station, the price and the gym equipment seem to me to be in line. I highly recommend it.

The gym is at great location, near to station and the price is reasonable too. The equipment are also nicely maintained. There are often times when they are broken or under repair, but can’t complain with the membership fee charged every month. Although it would be nice to just have either yearly or enrolment fee

Been a member of this gym since 2021- still some of the best prices in town. I go around 11am-1pm and never have an issue with wait times. I mainly go for cardio and weightlifting- their rewards program is sick too, have gotten a number of smoothies for free!

I just started going to fitness factory. The staff is very kind and friendly. Setting up a membership was easy and affordable, and the equipment is well kept. One of my favorite features is the Suna. I would recommend this gym to someone looking for a good gym that is also affordable.
