My child has been part of the Beaverton YMCA youth basketball program for a few seasons, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the experience! After being a part of other programs in the Beaverton, Hillsboro, West Portland region, i notice that the Beaverton YMCA program is not just about teaching basketball skills but also about fostering teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. A huge shoutout to the youth director, Stilyan, for his incredible enthusiasm and dedication. He goes above and beyond in organizing everything smoothly and always makes sure the kids feel supported and excited to participate. Stilyan’s initiatives—whether one off boot camps or extra practices — have truly helped my child develop both as a player and as a person. His energy is infectious, and it's clear that he cares deeply about every child’s success, both on and off the court. I highly recommend this program to any parent looking to get their kids involved in a positive, well-run, and encouraging basketball environment. Thank you, Stilyan, and the entire YMCA team!

We are starting our fourth year with the Beaverton YMCA basketball program for both of my sons, aged 10 and 8. My boys and I are very happy with this program, which has significantly improved their skills, taught them teamwork, and built their confidence on the court. A big thank you to Stilyan for making it all happen. He organizes everything smoothly and ensures that all the kids get whatever they need, both during and outside of practice. We are so fortunate to have someone like him taking care of this program. We are looking forward to the winter 2025 season.

I have had an excellent experience with the basketball program at the YMCA, largely thanks to Stilvan. He does an outstanding job running the program, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. His dedication and leadership are evident in how organized and engaging each session is. Stilvan is always willing to offer support, whether it’s answering questions or giving guidance to players, and his positive attitude creates a welcoming environment for everyone involved. The program itself is well-structured, offering great opportunities for players to improve their skills while having fun. If you’re looking for a fantastic basketball program, I highly recommend this particular YMCA for youth sports. The staff and coaches passion for the sport and commitment to the participants really stand out!

We have been extremely satisfied with the basketball league with this organization. Stilyan Slavov has gone out of his way numerous times to accommodate our needs and schedule conflicts. If you are looking for a great place for your kids to play basketball I recommend this organization/league!

Stilyan and his team have put together such a fun space for kids to learn and play basketball. My child has been playing for 2 seasons and has had such a great time that he wants to move up to the next level. Thanks to the YMCA team!

half the machines are in bad condition I had to share the pin you use to select the weight with someone working out on the next machine over because the one I was using didn’t have one nothing is very clean the stations with paper towels and spray bottles are often empty or broken and it’s absolutely impossible to cancel your membership. Had an employee tell me over the phone that I could cancel my membership via email and imagine my surprise a month after sending that email when I was charged $30 to my account and now I’m supposed to drive two hours to come cancel it in person

SUPER cheap equipment. Awful lighting. No mirrors except a couple small ones by free weights. Benches screwed down, which removes flexibility. Drinking fountains and bathrooms in annoyingly far locations. Overstaffed front desk that does nothing - can’t even bother greeting customers. If you’re the type of person to go to a gym for 2 days every few months, Crunch is a great place to blow your money. Yes, you can get a workout in here, but well worth the extra $20-30 to go to a halfway decent gym. This place is certainly a low quality gym; no clue how anyone rates it highly.

Update: 03/20 and this gym still don’t have an abduction machine. Also, Some pads are broken and they put tape on it instead of buying new ones. It’s very frustrating! I’ve decided to go to Planet Fitness due to lack of consideration for members who pay to use the gym. They renovated the gym, but a lot of the equipments are still old. They don’t have an abduction machine (it’s been like this for almost 4 months now) and whenever a machine breaks, it takes 1-2 months to get it fixed. Free weights are great, but don’t have a lot of expectations about the machines to lift weight.

What an effing nightmare. It took them 6 months to correct my sons’ membership, overcharging every month. After month 3 of “yeah it’s taken care of” decided to cancel but took another 3 months to get accounting situated to be able to cancel. I will go out of my way to tell people NOT to use this brand. It’s 2024, people matter more than this…

Just had to cancel my membership because I am moving out of state and the whole process was so easy. Typically I wouldn’t write a review, but Chris was super understanding, he made the process totally painless, and even helped check for new gyms in my area. On top of that, the facility was always clean, the desk people were always nice and helpful, and any classes I took were always really fun. Really sad to be leaving but thanks again for the time! You all rock.
