Love it here! Honestly I was a lil hesitant when I 1st started there classes..because everyone was so advanced with weights in all..but the coaches are very helpful & they motivated me! I tried another gym before but not the same at all. Good vibes all around coming here..😎💪

I heard about them through class pass and decided to try them out with their 7 day pass and I was HOOKED!!! The environment is great, coaches are great and make you push through. If you are getting in a solo workout the members and staff are great, friendly and can help you with form if you are struggling. Initially I thought I wouldn’t like it since its a warehouse gym but having experienced the great vibes from everyone not to mention the badass equipment they carry is very much worth it to me. Found myself wanting to come back and enthusiastic to get my morning workout in. Highly recommend to anyone!!!!

This is a really good place for CrossFit style training. I have been a member for about a year and a half now. I will say that the instructors Sonia, Matt, and Daniel do such a great job.

I’ve been trying this gym for a week now and I’m hooked! Never too busy with people, has all the equipment you could ever need for body building, and even better is it has all of the CrossFit equipment you could use, they over CrossFit classes as well. Great location too, never any traffic getting here. Come try it, they offer a 7 day free pass!

This gym is really nice. It has brand new equipment. You typically do not have to wait for any machines since there are plenty of benches and racks all across the gym. The only downside to it is that prices seem a bit high. I would continue to go after my trial, but it is way out of my budget. I will show a picture of the rates sent to my email after my trial since I couldn't find any on the website, so I can be transparent with the prices so you guys can see that here. I 100% recommend you join if you have the budget for it. Great place.

Illuminate Sweat has truly become another home for me this past year. What started as something fun has turned into a place where I’m surrounded by people who not only hold me accountable for my fitness goals but also push me to stay on track with my professional career goals. As a woman in uniform, I have monthly expectations to meet, and Illuminate Sweat helps me get there every time. Their flexible schedule and well-structured routines make it easy for anyone to stay consistent, no matter how busy life gets. That’s one of the big reasons why this is the best place to work out. The trainers are so caring and committed they will absolutely stay on top of you to make sure you improve, which I love. But it’s not just about the workouts. Illuminate Sweat is also about building a healthy, supportive community, and honestly, who doesn’t want that? It’s more than just a gym; it’s a space where you grow and connect with others who want to see you win. I can’t recommend it enough!

Awesome gym and atmosphere! Staff is friendly and trainers are super helpful. If you want to get a sweat & motivation -around like minded individuals, come here. They are building out a muscle recovery area so your able to go back to work or home but your body is healing faster and/or still “working out” AFTER your session. Very cool stuff!!!

When I started as a beginner over a year ago, I felt very comfortable and welcomed. The workouts can be challenging, but the coaches make them fun and enjoyable. It really feels like personal training in a group setting. You get to tackle both HIIT and strength training in one class, and the music keeps the energy up, making the time fly by! Q

I had my first session today, and I’m already impressed! Very welcoming, knowledgeable, and took the time to understand my fitness goals. The workout was challenging but tailored perfectly to my current fitness level, and they offered great tips on technique throughout. I felt motivated and supported the entire time. Looking forward to the next session and excited to see progress with such a great Coach! Highly recommend! 👏👏🤘🏽🤘🏽 once again thank you Fernando & Brandon for the Guidance & Motivation

I worked out here till I was 36 weeks pregnant and they were able to give me modifications when needed. No matter if you are just starting your fitness journey or are already a gym expert I guarantee you will love this gym!

Gym itself is clean and employees are great. But it’s so hard to find an open squat rack or find a free bench. January, February and Summer might as cancel. Again employees are beyond great. But the membership is barely worth it if I can’t get to the equipment I need.

Mind you at one point this was rated the best Planet Fitness in Houston they’ve gone downhill since then definitely need some training also employees never stay at this company they’re always moving to other locations or quitting that should tell you everything about this gym. Good machines but staff just doesn’t work good

I've been a member for about 7 months now and love Be Strong. Classes are small enough that everyone gets individual attention. The coaches are positive and helpful, and there are always scaled options for when you're learning movements. The community is so helpful, too. Everyone cheers each other's accomplishments, even the small progress. Walter, Shae, and Sydney push you in a supportive way and cheer you on. I never feel like skipping workouts.

Wonderful little community to join. Walter and his team stays on top of their game, providing details of each workout to your personal account on the mobile app, encouragement, and thoroughly demonstrates new exercise to help members avoid injuries. Flexible workout times early morning and evenings right outside your 8-5 or 9-6 work schedule. Welcoming and friendly environment overall. Thanks again for the free 6 weeks functional training program giveaway Walter, it was a pleasure.

4th of July Wellness Bash 2023, at Be Strong Fitness! This place really cares about overall wellness. BE Strong teamed up with (IVida - iv hydration mobile Service Co, a personal Nutritionist, & Be Ageless Spa for skin hydration and skin health for athletes) to raise money for the support of Veterans that suffer from PTSD "Camp Hope" for the 4th of July! What an amazing event and such a great cause 👏 This place has health at the forefront of everything they do. If you're looking for a place that has an amazing staff, friendly and knowledgeable with the feel of one on one training without the high prices of large chain gyms, then this small but well-equipped gym will become your new 💪 home. Over a year ago, I found this studio on Google and decided to join. It is a great welcoming judgement free community, the coaches encourage you to push yourself and give guidance on modifications for all levels and proper posture. The classes are small enough to receive individual feedback, the training is created in a way that continues to challenge you week after week and it has made me feel stronger.

Update October 2024: Looks like some of the employee with attitude are gone. Staff is very friendly so far, they seem to care more about the place. ———————————————— First time on this gym. Very very clean, hopefully it will stay like this. Decent amount of space, everything brand new. Staff could be a little more friendly, specially for all their new members and first timers they will be welcoming these upcoming weeks. I literally had to ask someone to give me a quick tour and show me some the place, and offer me a little bit of explanation, even though I am very courteous to them before hand. I still enjoy it. Put my headphones on, and focus on my thing. I will update review in the upcoming days visiting a few more days Update June 11 ‘24: - Some spaces seem a little cramped, specially where dumbbells are. - No ankle straps offered. There is one machine which is quite off (it is defective from factory by 1-1.5 inch at least) and I brought to attention but I was ignored while the employee trying to give me a “lesson” on why he doesn’t use machines. I have started to find some ball of hairs on the floor, maybe a little more attention on it

Manager is rude, I missed one payment by 4 days the manager walks over in mid workout after the employee told me go ahead and finish. I said let me finish and ill be right over. She starts yelling you have no access I said when I'm done I'll pay it. She said you have to leave you have no access. Getmanagers with proper customer service skills. She needs to be replaced.

I loved my time here at this gym today. Brand new location so everything is brand new and clean. There weren’t many people there from 10-12 pm. Staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. FYI if you have a classic membership and this isn’t the gym you signed up at.. you will have to pay a $5 franchise fee for the day. I will be going to my home gym to transfer to this one!!

This has been one of the most infuriating and disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. I’m absolutely furious about what happened. The employees outright lied to me, claiming I could freeze my account instead of canceling because I was moving, and that I could simply unfreeze it once I settled in my new city. This was a complete and utter lie. Now, I’m miles away, and the incredibly rude and condescending team member I spoke with over the phone informed me that the only way to unfreeze my account is by showing up in person. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I am beyond angry at the lack of accountability, the blatant misinformation, and the dismissive attitude from your staff. This entire experience has been a nightmare, and the level of incompetence and disrespect is shocking.

This is the best gym I have ever been to. I mean it’s so clean, everything you need is there, and it pays for itself. I love the sauna & steam rooms! The basketball courts are so clean, and are some fun runs. There are so many squat racks, and tons of equipment to choose from! The pool on the roof is the icing on the cake. Sometimes I just go out and sit there and just enjoy the beautiful weather up there, and a Houston sunset up there is so great! I love coming here!

If you’re looking for a huge gym that has a whole lot of equipment, this is it. Too bad that they can’t make repairs in a timely way. And equipment is filthy from morning till night. Black stretch mats are dirty, just look at the towel that was used to wipe before use. Never have ever seen them cleaning. Clean gyms have crews moving from piece to piece of equipment while you work out. Just visit any Planet Fitness to see how cleaning can be done. Moldy AC vents. Wish there were other options in the area.

Lifetime has trainers that bring LOUD boomboxes onto the weight floor which, put the decibel level over 90 -- high enough to cause hearing loss. I recommend bose earbuds -- their noise cancelling's the best. Also the clientele is not what you would consider professional, so even with earbuds you're not missing anything. Gym is huge but locker room is dinky, making it up close and personal for a supposedly premium facility. The outdoor pool (no indoor unfortunately) is both heated and chilled, but recently they haven't kept the temp at 80, so I may have to cancel. I hear parking has become a problem on weekends. Cleanliness is good and equipment is well maintained.

Been utilizing this gym for about 2 years. Great facilities , amenities, events, and staff. The community of gym goers is worth noting as well. Machines are maintained and repaired very timely, and rarely too overcrowded to get in a good workout. It is expensive compared to your typical gym which would be the major drawback.

Agree with comments about poor HVAC system and low caliber of many members especially those of us paying $280/ month who expect a nicer experience. Looking for another gym due to overcrowding and many low class no manners people - swarmed with those getting in via BCBS TX for 100/month. Parking getting in and out during peak times add 20 mins that I don't have to waste.

KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I signed my son up to participate in the YMCA’s youth basketball league. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. At this particular location, nothing is organized. The first day of practice no one knew who was coaching the team and practice got rescheduled. At the first game, the coached never showed forcing someone else to step in who had no knowledge of the players. The receptionist at the front desk never knew what was going on at the facility and communicated incorrect information. Save your money and save your time. It’s not worth the headache. Update: All in all I have since seen improvement at this location. Still not perfect but they are making strides.

When did the YMCA start being closed on Sundays? They charge $60 for a membership to be closed on Sundays? I’m disappointed! I’m not gone lie, I’m pissed! The group exercise classes are made for elderly people because they are very low impact. They also used to have a teen camp here during the summers that they no longer have. Why are yal closed on Sundays?!

I’m new to Solidcore and recently attended a starter class with Denise. From the moment the class began, I was blown away by her instruction and guidance. She has an incredible teaching style that made me feel confident and supported as a beginner. Denise’s energy and encouragement inspired me to not only transition to the signature class but also motivated me to purchase an additional membership on top of my allocated classes through my United One Pass Select program. Thanks to Denise, I’ve truly fallen in love with Solidcore and the incredible challenge it offers. She creates such a welcoming and empowering environment, and I can’t imagine my journey without her coaching. I would love to see Denise have a permanent instructor slot—she’s an absolute gem and a huge reason for my enthusiasm about Solidcore!

I recently attended my first Solidcore class thorough Classpass and was thoroughly impressed. Kimia was exceptionally kind and attentive. She provided clear instructions and actively moved around the room, offering support and modifications to ensure everyone maintained proper form. As a newcomer to the machine, I was initially hesitant if this class is for me, but Kimia's encouragement and guidance made the experience enjoyable and rewarding.

This location is CLEAN, Definitely better than the RICE location. I’m really enjoying solid core and their music along with the coaches but I’m starting to notice ALL their classes are the same every single day. About 30 mins of the same core and oblique work DAILY with about 15-20mins of other muscle work (Biceps/shoulders/back/etc). I understand that the name is ‘solidcore’ for a reason but the reason I’m giving this place a chance is in order to diversify my workout routine, which after attending 5 straight classes, I’m realizing it’s really NOT! Not complaining as I’m starting to see it pay off, I would just love this place more if they focused on more other muscles groups than just CORE.

Oh my God, I am absolutely in love with Trotter Family YMCA! I came here with a friend for the first time to play pickleball, and it instantly won me over. They have a dedicated court setup in one of the gym rooms, and the layout is fantastic. The lines are clearly marked, and it doesn’t overlap with any other courts, so it feels private with ample space to move around. There’s only one court in this section, making it the perfect setup for a focused game. They even offer a second court option for pickleball on Sundays by converting part of the basketball court. With a divider screen in place, one side can be used for basketball while the other hosts pickleball, allowing everyone to play without disruption. The entire facility is clean and impressively well-organized, with amenities for everyone. There’s a swimming pool and numerous rooms dedicated to classes like Pilates, yoga, spinning, and racquetball. The regular gym section is stocked with the latest equipment, making workouts even more enjoyable. The staff here is attentive and super friendly, enhancing the experience. The Trotter Family YMCA truly captures the charm of a well-designed, community-centered facility. Highly recommended!

The building is very old and sometimes feels too warm during the summer. There are no workout or lockeroom towels and you must bring your own lock. I found some nasty toe nail clippings in the men's locker room as I was changing before my workout. And finally, after I canceled my membership, I was still being charged for several months and wasn't refunded. I don't recommend this gym to any working professionals in the area.

I love this fitness center! I switch from 24 hour fitness to here and never looked back! Their pool is heated and their changing rooms are kept clean! They also have zero flooding damage on the ceiling tiles which is impressive for a building that is over 20 years old unlike other newer fitness centers in the galleria. My favorite thing about this fitness center is the fact that the patrons don’t treat this place like it is a speed dating event so that I don’t have to spend my entire working out routine declining coffee and tea dating invitations. Did I mentioned I love their pool already! I love their pool! I recently went to the doctor and they told me I’m prone to osteoporosis and that I have tendon loss on one of my knees likely from the years of running track since high school so swimming here has become a better alternative to costly knee surgery. Would be cool if they had one of them climbing walls machines where the wall drops as you try to climb it but I’m not complaining. I just walk from home 1.5 miles just to weight lift and swim daily then walk back another 1.5 miles. I only get bum out when there is bad weather bc I can’t swim and doing out of the water workouts isn’t as much fun as actually swimming.

I like this location because of the racquetball court and the staff is friendly Today, 12/28/2024, I was playing with a friend and slipped multiple times from something that was not cleaned up all the way, I let the guy who checks people in, he tells me he used the room earlier and slipped as well. He said the cleaning people would take care of it overnight so anyone playing today: Please be careful in racquetball court #2

Clean and well equipped gym. Staff are nice and attentive. You can tell they are trying their best to help you have a great workout experience. I did not have a good experience with PF from a visit a long time ago but this gym changes my perspective about them.

We’re so glad they opened in our area! It’s been a treat having this Planet Fitness right around the corner from our apartment. The space is nice and open, and we’ve been really impressed by how any types of machines and equipment they have available. The janitorial crew does a fantastic job, and honestly the staff has been so kind and sweet! Our family loves it.

Brand new, opened 24 hours from Sunday to Friday. Friday closes at 10 and Saturday closes at 9. Area is safe and parking is lighted. It is smaller than other locations. There are only two benches in dressing room and water pressure is low.

After recently retiring from work I began to notice my body losing some muscle mass and strength. I needed a place to exercise and noticed Planet Fitness opened a new location in Lakewood Forest. I stopped in and was given a tour. The facility is brand new so everything is clean and nice. There is a huge selection of equipment to choose from. All the staff have been exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I enjoy the recovery lounge with the massage chairs following your workout. I felt like the amenities offered are a good value for the price. There are no contracts or deceptive fees. So far my experience here is very positive and I look forward to utilizing the club to help maintain my health.

As I stand here waiting for the leg press machine that someone has been on for an hour, I figured why not give a review. Staff churn is impressive here. It's like no one can figure out, "Take care of the customer." It's $25 a month. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't the only reasonable offer in the area. And yes, the machine is still taken.

Can't beat the price. I have a membership at 24 hrs fitness also, and the machines here are kept in much better condition and the gym is way cleaner than 24. The only problem I have is they play the music WAY too loud. I can never listen to my own music. I'm sure these irks everyone else because 85 pct of gym members wear headphones and the music is blasting. That's the only thing g 24 has over them. 24 never plays their music loud. It's always discreetly in the background.

The only pro is the gym is convenient since its on the way to work. Staff is rude. They have rules about not leaving stuff on the floor but do not say anything about people with tripods on the gym floor.

I have been coming to this gym for years and I have never seen such bad service as that of the new manager, terrible experience, nothing to do with the managers and staff they had before, they were always smiling and had exceptional energy, now when you enter this gym, it doesn't even seem like there is someone there to assist you or the manager greets you with the worst face. I’m still coming to this location because is close to me, but it’s really bad. No stars ⭐️

A lot going on, the air was not working. They were under staff. The bathroom was not clean.
