I LOVE Steel Fitness!! I’ve been going here for almost 4 years now, and it has yet to fail me. Mike the manager is really friendly and always willing to help if needed and knows the gym well. He’s a great manager and the members love him! I’ve gone to many gyms, and none of them have met my standards the way steel does. The atmosphere is the best and the set up is unique. I love how diverse the crowd is, there are people of all age groups. The outdoor yard is such a fun addition! If you’re looking for a new gym, give Steel a try.

Just called to ask if they participate in insurance programs that pay for the gym membership. After being informed that they do not, I was asked if I still like to join, given they are in their promotional window. I politely said sorry I'm not interested as the I pay $40 a month for the insurance program which gives me access to a bunch of gyms in the area. The staff member immediately got rude and said "yeah okay" and hung up the phone on me. Based solely on that experience I have no intention on joining this gym in the future. Also, based on other reviews, this seems to be consistent. Advice to company: 1.) Improve your enrollment requirements and allow of insurance programs. 2.) Improve your hiring process...

If I could give zero stars I would. I joined this gym at the beginning of the year and worked out here for a few months, and I have to say, my experience was horrible!! The gym itself is a decent size and has the potential to be great, but unfortunately, it’s plagued by several issues and it sucks! First, the equipment is often broken and stays that way for months. The gym is also not very clean—I’ve never seen anyone clean the sauna, which raises serious health concerns. You could workout at 5am or just before closing. Still smells horrible. You could place a rag in there on Monday and still see it Friday. Additionally, the gym is poorly organized. At $60 a month, you expect to walk into a great gym, HA I laugh at that expectation. With all the issues, it is overpriced, especially considering there are other gyms in Bethlehem with similar pricing, or even slightly less, that are just better . If this gym were priced at $25 or $30 a month, it might be more reasonable, but at its current price point, it’s hard to recommend. Unfortunately, Steel Fitness is by far the worst gym I’ve been to in the area.

First of all I will echo everyone else, this gym is overpriced, it is dirty, the water fountains and air conditioning are constantly malfunctioning. There are so many better and cleaner gyms for similar or cheaper prices. Also they only let me cancel in person instead of over the phone, like why cant you just email me the form and I'll sign it like every other gym? Litterally nobody in this gym cleans up after themselves or wipes down weights or machines. The machines and benches look like they were salvaged from a scrap yard.

Even after you call multiple times to cancel they won’t and continue to bill you. Even after you show up in person to cancel and fill out their paperwork to cancel they’ll continue billing you. Avoid at all costs and put a stop payment on your bank if you find yourself in this situation. Management will never get back to you. Your best course of action is to use any other gym in the area that doesn’t engage in this type of predatory behavior.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and the quality has really declined. They finally got floor new mats that were much needed but they kept the old ones which are peeling and flattened out. The machines are always out of order, frequently the stair-master. There are two machines (lat pulldown and pec fly) that are completely missing grip handles for months now that haven’t been replaced. The auto paper towel dispensers rarely work and after a year of cleaner spray bottles not working they finally replaced them. Additionally the floors by the mat area are often dirty with clumps of dust and hair. I’m not sure if this location just doesn’t have the budget, but things are worn down to nothing before anything is done about it. The staff is all very nice but in comparison to other PFs I’ve went to especially the Quakertown one, this location is severely lacking.

Two things really irked me: 1) There is always a stationary bicycle down. They don't maintain them well at all. Never see out of order signs at other planet fitness gyms on their stationary bikes. 2) This weekend, pushed me over the edge. Learned that the only reason the paper towels were on top of the trash cans was because there were no batteries to operate the automated machines. Last I checked, dollar tree was around the corner and family dollar was next-door. NEXT DOOR!!! Buy some batteries. Repair your equipment. Stop being cheap. Update: As of today there's now 50% of their bikes down. No eta either. One has been dysfunctional for 9 months!!!

I have always loved coming here. Never any problems. Never any weird guys flirting, never anyone making me feel uncomfortable. Nothing. I love Felix the desk attendant he's very friendly and good at his job. Not sure what her name is but short girl with makeup and eye lashes she's also good at her job and very friendly. My favorite time is when I go to the gym lol the staff really makes a difference.

I've been going to the gym here for a few years and I gotta say it's time to expand the gym. It's way too tight and gym is often over crowded. Staff are great though and most members at this location are respectful.

The employees work their ass off cleaning the facility. Their work ethic is admirable and definitely not going unnoticed by all of us. I know it’s their job, but they really go above and beyond.

For us women who get anxiety about going to the gym, this place is perfect. Lots of space with minimal clientele. All the equipment you need including TRX. Work on yourself without the anxiety that most gyms bring.

The equipment is getting tired. Some bikes no longer detect pulse as designed. Locker room amenities not being filled. If you are an LVHN employee, this is probably a great deal. For those who aren’t employees or doing rehab, there are other gyms with more features at the same price.

Dated equipment. Buttons on some machines not working properly. Small overall space. Lockers do not lock reliably. Be wary of their cancellation policy. Its 30 days notice so anticipate donating another month's membership after you've decided to leave. There are better places for less money

Used wellness $'s to have a program designed to fit my specific needs. Leaving work at 7:15 am is the perfect time to get in shape. Minimal clientele makes my workout a breeze. And all for "FREE."

I have been attending here for several years. I want to love the place- decent members, good location, helps community, etc. I enjoy the gym for the most part. The pool has declined in it's overall care and management in last few years. The water has become colder, dirtier, and the ladies shower needs work and proper cleaning. Also some of the lifeguards in evenings alook miserable, nor do they keep to the pool schedule. The pool is pretty much a free-for-all most nights after 6pm. Families and teens and youg adults infiltrate lap lanes. Lifeguards have friends come by. If there are no lap lanes due to a bunch if kids playing it it, many lifeguards tell you "you can talk to them about it if you want." I have been in there when kids are screaming for long periods on end and nothing is done. Shrill, piercing screams...not just kids playing. I wrote the director about this; she just does not answer. I know others have also complained- but nothing was done about any if it. I have since begun driving the 45 min round trip to the Easton pool, which is a completely different experience. The schedule is adhered to and the rules controlled. The lifeguards are attentive and present. Comments about the daycare are true; I have witnessed workers being crass with the children. The gym area is a bit better and people are generally nice. But since Covid I have seen an influx of people who refuse to wipe machines down, and young people having loud conversations laden with offensive words, people sitting on a machine on their phone for 20 mins or more, and people on FaceTime having loud phone conversations with the speaker on. I just put ear buds in and try to ignore. Also now they have some weird locker rule that changed several times. I saw some guy followed the rules and paid for his locker only to have the lock cut off anyway...last I heard nothing was done about that. On a Saturday I had to knock on the door at 3:28pm and the workers at the front desk ignored it. Another woman knocked too...I know they could hear it because once inside, I easily heard patrons knocking from the front desk! They said well we no longer let anyone inside once it is 30 minutes before close, and we begin rounding people up to leave at 3:50pm. I usually attend during the week and there have been times at 20 minutes to close they tell you you need to leave. Workers must want to get out of there at 1 minute after closing. They say it is not them, the corporate office makes the alarm go off no matter if everyone is out of the gym or not. Many people do not have the luxury of punching out the time clock the minute their workplace closes; give better customer service or you will lose your patrons who know better and whose memberships are basically paying for the place to keep running. If you say anything about any of these things, it gets blamed on the recent takeover by Bucks County. That is what happened when I (nicely) said something to the front desk about the new membership changes. The Y has signs all over talking about youth development and social responsibility and accountability, but patrons of the Y really do not need to follow any rules, which does not really make sense given their "doctrine." I suspect the management here is not managing from a position of strength, but one of weakness, so no one is making things better. I also wrote member services once and received no answer. I really wish things were different because I believe many of these issues could easily be improved with not much effort like the customer service aspect....I still enjoy the gym but do not attend the pool (3 mins from my house) any longer.

Great and friendly people , they have a pool ,steam room , sauna , which is very good for me , no private showers 🥴 (I’m not that confident lol) , you can get lost easily if you are not familiar with this facility . Some people use the sauna to dry their sweaty clothes 🤮. I have to say that this location needs some Work . The jacuzzi seems to have been broke for a long time, it looks disgusting and many rooms have a bad snell .

I give only 2 stars because they don't open at 5am they don't open till 8am but besides that awesome atmosphere.

Had my son’s birthday party here. The doors to the locker room were left open which are connected to the rented room. It stank like a dirty sock and there were people walking in and out constantly to get to the locker rooms instead of using the other door. The pool was clean and nice though and overall not an awful place but even the vents in the locker rooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in 20 years.

Having a graduation abruptly moved from a football field to a fieldhouse must have been so difficult, especially in that rain we were having. But you couldn't tell! They said such a great job setting everything up. Even Charlie Decker himself couldn't stop talking about it.

There are great vending machines in the front of the field house that take credit cards and Apple Pay. Good to know for clinics and sporting events. Also a Starbucks coffee machine.
