Try for yourself you won't be disappointed the gym has various machines spacious relaxing dress room kind staff and the overall ambiance is ideal especially for beginners.

Love this gym, the staff is so kind and friendly. The gym is so close to work I absolutely love it

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly! Great place to workout!

It's a nice sized gym in a beautiful building with friendly staff, all the equipment seems to work on a broad walk through, the bathrooms however were a little messy on my visit.

They don’t tell you when they’re closed so you show up to the gym looking like an idiot. Supreme ignorance going on just assuming people know when they’re closed I set up my whole day around going and took all this pre workout and than even tried calling the other planet fitness to see if they were open and no one answered, take urself seriously guys and provide some sort of communication with ur loyal customers seriously I’m not even joking

Philadelphia, known to a small but influential group of locals as "Philly," seems to be some sort of a workout desert. There is no equinox and only one CorePower in the city?!?! Damn I'm starting to sound boujee lmao my fault... I made the trek from Black Turtle Coffee to Corepower to make the 1pm sculpt class. Much to my surprise, the class wasn't full and had ample space to actually do yoga. I think I have PTSD from every studio in nyc where even getting a spot in a sculpt class is an absolute BLOODBATH. Really grinds my gears but I don't really have a solution for that so Imma stop complaining. Mina (sorry if I spelled your name wrong Mina) was a FANTASTIC teacher, the perfect amount of leading a good workout but not making it so hard where no one can do the mf class smh. She also did a good amount of the class along with us, which is one of my critiques of yoga teachers in general. A good general leads from the front like Mina does. Mina isn't playing scared. Few things have my endorphins pumpin, dopamine rushin, like a good yoga sculpt class. The perfect mix for me of getting an actual workout and stretching out. I feel as free as a female gymnast in my body while simultaneously feeling lean like a Fight Club Brad Pitt after a good sculpt class. As for Philly, known to a smaller but likely more influential group of locals as "The Big P," I'm sorry I called you a workout desert but will some of y'all please give me some recs for other classes to do. I hang my hat on taking constructive criticism in stride when given opposing evidence. Why am I in the Big P so much lately? Good question, my dear reader. That will be covered in a later review. But I WILL be back to take Mina's class again. THANK YOU COREPOWER! THANK YOU MINA! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Mostly exceptional! Great workout. Challenging and effective. Friendly staff and instructors … With some constructive feedback/room for improvement. (Hence the minus 1 star). The positives: large studio space with multiple rooms for >1 class at a time. Prompt check in at front desk. Vast retail selection of yoga apparel, athleisure, mats etc. Locker room for showering, changing etc. Locks available. Vast schedule with early morning to later evening classes of variable class types — from more traditional yoga to yoga sculpt (which is more of yoga HIIT including abs, cardio, squats, and optional weights.) Yoga sculpt is my favorite class type and complements my cycling, Pilates, and orange theory workouts well. Mostly good instructors. Motivating. Encouraging. Good cueing and coaching with a tie in between body, mind, and spirit. Emma is great. Carla is great. Brian is great. Very challenging but modifiable classes with many progressions and regressions offered to students to tailor their practice to their specific skill level/needs. Clean space. Temperature well maintained (hot in the hot yoga studios but nice and cool in lobby and locker rooms). My constructive comments: music is usually VERY loud. Blaring. I like the music because it’s motivating and fun but it’s usually so loud that you often cannot hear instructor cues especially if they’re on the opposite side of the room. During final stretch/final rest, I want to relax and close my eyes but still, the music is at a very high volume. I have seen students in class who have commented on this pre/during/post class but feedback doesn’t seem to be acted on as it pertains to this. Some instructors (not all) cannot count. I have been a fitness instructor for 13 years so I have a lot of experience counting on the beat. Many count down from 8 but with pauses in between which is actually a 16 count — or count down from 4 but with pauses which is actually a total of 8. This may seem trivial and I know I am more sensitive to it due to my background but it’s important if you’re holding a plank or pose and want to pace yourself through an exercise. It’s something that maybe should be reviewed. All of the instructors here have good musical taste although I think it would be nice if playlist is changed more frequently. I teach cycling and make a unique playlist for every single class so maybe my standards are too high. My only suggestion regarding scheduling is that if there is a last minute sub, I would love to receive an email with an opportunity to cancel or reschedule the class. Recently I arrived to class to find that there was a sub and it is an instructor I’ve had before that I do not enjoy because she acts bored (if not bothered) to be teaching. Had I known it was her, I would have opted to cancel/reschedule the class. Finally, there is little to no reinforcement of the no cell phone policy in class. This is a reflection of how addicted and selfish some people are, but I wish the instructors reinforced this rule. Many yogis are texting, obsessively checking their phones during class and it is distracting, inconsiderate, and rude to both the instructor and other participants. TLDR: A very sweaty workout. Fun. Engaging. HARD. I consider myself fairly fit and I’m challenged by CorePower yoga sculpt every single week. Some room to improve, always. Thanks for keeping me strong!

I took my first yoga sculpt class today with my instructor, Jillian and she humbled me for 60 minutes. Jillian was incredibly kind upon my first check-in, making sure I knew where to go and what to expect, as well as directing me on where the class would begin and kindly suggesting what weights I should have. I thought she would be the type of instructor who just stood there and gave us directions but to my surprise, she was also working out with our class and encouraging us, as well as making sure to correct my form if I made a mistake which I do appreciate. The class was heated and hot, not uncomfortably hot, but warm to where you know if you put in a good workout, you will be dripping sweat. Jillian does make sure to remind you to hydrate and if you need to take a break it’s OK to take one as well, but pushes you to do your best. The studio is huge and clean, as well as having bathrooms and towels readily available. I do see myself getting a membership here! I can’t wait to go back to my next class.

I decided to take a yoga class to try something new. The class was ok , but when I finished I was so sweaty I really neded a drink of water. They advertised they had free water bottles in the back. But when I went back to get one, a woman working there started screaming at me to leave. I left the place angry and dehydrated.

Took a trial class at corepower yoga. I was surprised it was “hot” yoga but room was more warm and less hot - which is good because I hate super hot (over 100 degrees). Class I took was a mix of strength and stretch infused with upbeat coaching. Studio is clean- has full shower and lockers. I’m ready to go back!

My late evening, Monday Yin yoga session with Sara was phenomenal, It felt like such a safe space, was so welcoming and an overall amazing experience. I will definitely be back. such a good reset and even better nights sleep lol

I’ve dabbled in yoga before but I am definitely beginner level. I decided to take a class today at Thrive Yoga, and the instructor was an absolute gem. She was super friendly, offered modifications for those of us who were beginners and even asked if we were okay with her making adjustments. Gotta love someone who respects both your personal space and your level of flexibility - or lack of flexibility LOL Now, onto why I’m knocking off two stars. Enter: the front desk woman. I walked in curious about membership options, thinking yoga might be my ticket to finally managing life’s stress - a high hope but nonetheless can’t knock it till you try it. But nope! This woman looked at me like I’d just asked her if the sky was green when I inquired about how to rent a mat. The vibe? Less “welcome to your yoga journey” and more “ugh, another clueless beginner.” The class was great, but judgmental and condescending front desk left me with a really bad taste. If you’re a beginner looking for a warm, fuzzy welcome—maybe bring your own mat and try another studio! I am still hopeful that yoga will be my cure to my stress (again high hopes) so I will be trying other local studios.

TRX + Pilates Springboard class with Maggie was very good; Maggie is the sweetest instructor and corrects and encourages you; the music was not too loud and there was no yelling in a microphone, which I absolutely love; the space is beautiful, light and spacious. Highly recommend.

The gym is busy, that's undeniable. The rock wall is only open during the week, no weekends, from 4-10. But the workers are nice. The pool has pretty restricted hours also, because Drexel S&D practices there. My partner and I try to workout outside if peak hours, but even at 7pm we can usually get a squat rack and do our lifts.

Very small pool. Only 6 lanes - roughly 4 feet wide and 25 feet long. It was impossible to do any kind of physical therapy workouts as the pool was packed with minimum 3 people per lane. The facility supervisor was unwilling to understand my situation when I requested a refund for the 3 month subscription I had bought. They suggested doing said physical therapy workouts "by the pool side"?? even though said workouts are done in water. Bringing up covid concerns, they advised me to wear a mask even though my concerns were about the fact that the pool was packed with minimum 3 people per lane. I bought this subscription for the sake of the pool, not because I wanted to stand by one when I do workouts. Waste of money. Horrible experience.

It is a good recreation center with most of the equipments newly installed. The facility is clean and has great Vibe. The front desk and floor staffs are really good too. There need to be more lockers. And sometime I felt there should be a clear instructions to not occupy an equipment forever while scrolling through mobile phones. Lol.

This a really great place to work out, have a good time playing games, swimming, sitting in the corridor. It has a really good lighting suitable for any kind of work. This is the Drexel's corridor and outdoor view from here. You have Wawa, 7 Eleven, Starbucks and many other options nearby to eat.

Bad customer service and bad communication. It made me fell they are the rule makers and you can only obey and follow. Don’t expect too much given the cheap price. Fair enough

Nice staff (esp. Anthonia), clean gym, and very respectful and quiet community there.

Great range of equipment. Clean. Modern. They have a whole section for abs. Plenty Cardo equipment. And traffic wasn't bad after work hours on a Wednesday. Just wish they had heavier free weights but a great gym location nonetheless.

I began training here at the end of summer and was initially very pleased with the facility, which prompted me to pay for an entire year in advance. However, I have noticed that some ongoing issues remain unaddressed over time. Specifically, a leak near the squat/barbell rack has persisted for over six months. Today, I was trying to squat and the floors were all wet; if I or someone else gets injured by the negligence of the non-existent gym manager, I will sue. The other day, one of the Female trainers had an open class with two women. She had the audacity to play music so loud that even with both of my AirPods, I could not only enjoy my music but not only that, I could not longer work out close to the speakers as the music was so loud that I thought I could need a hearing aid. I left the gym at the moment. The next day, the same female instructor had another class, and she left all the equipment in the middle of the gym. Putting weights back is encouraged for us members but not for employees. The disrespect I get from these people is unbelievable sometimes The front desk is operated by a couple of teenagers who don’t manage the building. They always seem to hang out as if this was a social event instead of working. I will attach pictures to this review showing equipment that has been broken for months now. The gym also gets very dirty. Not enough people are working to make this place decent. It would be a good idea to stop with the constant promotional offers when the place is clearly getting way too big management/employees to handle. Even on Sunday you will find yourself waiting for equipment. This will be a fire code violation waiting to happen Will not be renewing my membership, I highly discourage anyone from paying up front in an attempt to save money. These people will not care to address anything once they are paid

This place just continues to get worse and worse so I’ve decided to leave for good. 1. The soap dispensers in the men’s bathroom have been broken for months. So assume all men’s are not washing their hands. There’s not even a temporary bottle in there. This has to be some health code violation. 2. None of the paper towel dispensers worked so instead of fixing them they just removed half of them. 3. About a 1/4 of the machines are broken or feel like they are so you can’t even use them. Broken machines will sit for 3-6 months it seems. 4. The staff just hangs out. No one is really there to help with anything that’s broken and they are almost never at the front desk. I assume their only responsibility is to sign people up.

Was a promising location with good potential a couple month back but sadly they grew too fast and only care about $$. Multiple leg machines have been broken for weeks. Absurdly crowded at practically all times, staff just hangs out and cracks jokes up front

Since June ive been there n i go alot..the amount of equipment they have is better than most places the locker rooms always clean the staff knew my name pretty fast and continues to treat me great If Paper towels are a complaint ya probably shouldn't be working outif its empty go to the next one n get one burn a calorie. Im happy with the team there

One star for the personal training experience. The trainer manager will talk a good game about how great the trainers are. Professional, flexible hours etc. The trainer I got was none of that. After you cancel your training sessions and gym membership, you will be charged even after the 30 days. Very average gym, just wouldn’t recommend the training sessions

I must say it's one of the better fitness clubs. I don't know if it's just because it's new but it seems like a very well oiled machine. They definitely know their business model and are milking everything out of it, and the HQ takes it seriously. People are mostly nice, but everyone keeps to themselves. It would be nicer if people were a bit more outgoing and interacted, but that's ok. I guess that's all the gyms nowadays. Equipment is more or less pretty new and good quality, and plenty of it. I'm not sure if I go here because of the price or the facilities available and/or the distance from home, but it gets the job done.

Love this gym! I’ve been going to edge for a couple years now as a guest under my mom’s account and I decided to finally get a membership of my own. Ree had helped me pick out the best membership plan according to my routine and needs as well as something that would be most cost efficient for me. She went through every detail with me about how payments work, what I would have access to with different membership types and answered every question I had no matter how many times I repeated the same thing. She was truly a kind and informative person to talk to about finding something that works best for me!

All the staff is very friendly!! I really like that this gym offers personal training, I have learned so much from working with Harry who is an awesome trainer. I would only point out that at night the parking lot is super dim, I think a light it out and with the icy conditions that would be dangerous.

Honestly, I would take Planet fitness 😂😂 over this gym any day. Gym is always packed, no matter what time you come always packed, even finding parking spots you’ll park far from the entrance. They will get you in a 1 year contract where you are always going to be paying until the 1 year is over. So when your about to cancel you have to go to them, cancel there and then they will tell you your going to have to pay 70$ to cancel for annual fee and monthly fee. Even though when you sign up they will charge you for first and last month which is INSANE. Also keep in mind, there is only one Edge location in NE Philly, so next location is in cherry hill. Barely any gym equipments, their protein shake bar costs an arm and a leg, and they close it before the gym even closes. Equipments are not clean, and i never ever recalled going in the bathroom with it even being remotely clean, went Monday seen trash in one stall, next day seen the same exact trash. The money isn’t the issue, it’s the principle, it’s the promises they tell you then fail. I go to LA fitness now it costs more but it has multiple locations, nothing about the membership is complicated they have pools and hot tubs. Edge has neither…

Good selection of machines, moderate free weights. Several Smith machines. Several rowers. Lots of treadmills, cycling, etc. Clean and bright. A few vending machines. Oddly, the lockers are mostly in the main workout room and along open hallways (better for security?) The showers, are in private rooms. Nice for privacy but logistically a bit tedious waiting for one to be available at peak visit periods. Black Card membership upgrade allows access to massage chairs, tanning, and a guest can accompany you. The guest needs to log in on the PF app. Black Card members also can use any PF.

I’m not too fond of the new location. I mean, it’s good to go to at night when there’s NO ONE there. But it’s just way too small compared to the old location. I hate that the treadmills are by the windows and not to mention, there’s WAY less treadmills. I don’t know why they switched locations. But I think I’m gonna look for another spot that’s way more spacious because this new spot ain’t it.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The new location is the biggest downgrade I have ever seen. I never wrote a review before, so this is how passionate I feel about this new location. Do not like the open space for bathrooms / showers / dressing rooms. Lack of privacy between genders, while before there were separate locker rooms. Also there is not enough seating area to get ready in the open space Machines are stacked on one another & during peak times, they are all occupied. I never had an issue getting on a treadmill before, now people are waiting in line to get on a treadmill Too hot. Fans are too small & there are no window shades blocking the beating sun. Not a fan when you are already exerting energy by working out

The other location at red lion was sooooo much better. It was bigger and had multiple machines. I do like that the shower is individual but the dressing room/locker room was huge. I don't like the new location wish they didn't move. This is more like one big room everyone is on top of each other. The other location felt like a gym. I might have to take the longer drive to another location.

The worst, most obnoxious, horribly designed, inefficient locker "room" bathroom concept I've ever seen at any gym in my life. Lockers are in thr gym, only 2 small benches, then a few separate individual "rooms" 2 of which are changing only and 2 or 3 are bathroom sink AND showers, one at a time use! Absolutely stupid. Always a wait, can't just go wash your hands without occupying an entire bathroom, instead of 8, 9 or 10 being able to use a restroom at once, you've got 3 or 4 maybe MAX. Showers make the restroom rooms hot and humid. Nowhere to just sit your stuff, unless it's a changing room. On and on. I will never go back to this gym and if it's a new concept at all of pf locations, I'll change gyms. Whatever PhD MBA focus group consultant came up with this proves that ultra educated book smart people make terrible practical decisions.

Staff very friendly, polite, and respectful the gym is very clean. Equipment is very clean hours of operation are very flexible. There is a wide variety equipment to meet everyone’s need. There is the availability of staff to answer all questions or assist you with equipment that you have questions about to assure you are using it correctly.

I love this gym! It's budget-friendly, clean, and has the basic equipment you'd need as a beginner/intermediate gym-goer! The staff have all been friendly and the patrons are respectful. For the sake of critique it can definitely get crowded after 3pm (school kids) and especially between 5-9pm (adults getting off work).

I’m definitely not a person to leave bad reviews but what has occurred is honestly disappointing, pay so much money for this to happen to me. They are breaking all the lockers locks and stealing all your personal belongings. I had a chat with the manger and employees, nothing ever got back to be or resolved. I definitely don’t recommend.

The men's showers are nasty, during days straight, and apparently no one cares. I talked kindly as possible with one employee and just told me, " Yes, you're not the only one who can smell it. It's like the third person who says that". Come on, please. I don't like talking badly, but no one is taking care. I believe so what's the matter?

Great gym, although the entrance is kinda weird. Not bad, but you have to walk all the way around the building just to get in, because there's a fence around the parking lot. Again, great gym, I like it, very mature group of people who train and work there.

A good gym, plenty of space, plenty of parking, a wide range of equipment, and an unmatched price. While every gym can always be bigger and have more equipment, there really is no better value for the money in this area of the city.

Personally not a fan of Planet Fitness's concept of a judgement zone when they judge people. However, this Planet Fitness has made an impression on me. First, the customer service team were very polite and helpful. Customer service members help with questions, re-racking equipment, and getting promotions. Secondly, the multitude and variety of equipment made it smooth to workout. Besides peak hours there's very minimal wait time for equipment. Thirdly, excluding the bathroom the gym was clean. Planet Fitness staff does a great job enforcing cleaning equipment policy. Lastly, the parking lot is a nice size but the lines aren't as visible and there are a lot of pot holes.

This location is by far my favorite. The staff are very friendly and keep the gym tidy. It's rare to find someone filming themselves or taking a photo of themselves (at night time); which makes it more comfortable to workout. There are more machines for weights than I have seen at other locations. The price is very reasonable. 11/10 would recommend.

Ive been coming here for almost 3 mos now. Everything has been pretty good so far. The staff is friendly and so are the members. In fact ive already made a few acquaintances with some of the regs that come at my usual "time slot"...

Just in Philly for the weekend and found this Y for a sauna and cold shower—what a nice facility and friendly staff. Plenty of parking in front. I didn’t work out or swim but the changing rooms were very nice and the sauna was hot. I love that I can use my YMCA membership wherever I am!

Horrible place! They don’t care about your kids! No one is ever paying attention so no one ever has any answers for you. The very first day of camp, I picked my daughter up at 4pm only to greet her barefoot. I was told she was walking around with no shoes on since “they went to the pool”. I asked “well what time did they go to the pool?” Their answer “12pm” so basically my child was walking around a building barefoot for 3 hours. My last straw was when I picked my daughter up and she had a ton of dirt in her hair. No one told me or knew anything. When I asked what happened they claimed a staff member questioned my child about the dirt in her hair. LIES! More importantly, why wasn’t I informed when I came to pick her up?! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! THEY ARE OBLIVIOUS, NEGLIGENT AND DONT CARE ABOUT THE CHILDREN! Everyone here just wants to do their 8 hours and collect their check. After conversing with other parents I was told their son’s arm was broken while attending this facility as well as her other child needing emergency surgery because “she ran into a tree” (that’s what they reported to the parent) and her entire mouth was split open and the top row of her teeth, loose. From “running into a tree”? More importantly she was NOT notified until she arrived for pick ups as well. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING! They need to be investigated!

Great location they have good parking, a nice size swimming pool. What I really like is the kidzone. I can go work out for an hour or 2 and know that my daughter is in good hands!

Very clean and quickly responsive for paper towel and cleaning spray refills in the weight machines room. Eclectic group of regulars from the elderly to small groups that come in with matching t's. Front desk staff makes a point to greet you on your way in and out which is a touch I appreciate ❤️ It's a friendly place
