Best Gyms with Free Wi Fi near Pharr, Texas

My 1st visit to this location in a few months. I have been utilizing another nearby location. While it seems like the professionalism of the staff has dramatically improved, there are still some issues present. The 30-minute express circuit workout area is now seemingly ignored, and the Express Light is not working. I notified the staff and he just said "we know"....

I like it here, it's clean and get my workout in, there is a smell to it though, I bring my hand sanitizer to help with the scent

I visited this gym while in town and was very disappointed; it desperately needs to address the terrible odor. Despite being renovated, there is still a strong stench that makes it difficult to enjoy workouts.

Great atmosphere and affordable prices. The gym is always clean and the machines are great too. Highly recommend it!

The lack of professionalism at this location is always at an all-time high! I found myself dreading going to this location, and I’ve just been paying for my membership for months without going, because that’s how much I dread the staff in this environment. Somehow, they always find opportunities to show lackluster customer service skills and also, it’s always apparent how lazy they are, I’m not even sure why they have jobs. Today I made the decision to go ahead and see about canceling my membership because I don’t see myself going back to that gym and all of the other locations are a bit far from me. When I went onto the application and I noticed that I owe $15 for a “other fee”. I wasn’t sure what this could be so I checked on my information for my membership and I see that my annual fee is $49 and my monthly fee is $10.83. So I called the location to ask them what the fee was for, and they informed me that the membership cost has gone up, which I was not notified of at any point. I expressed to the lady that I’m not sure if that’s the case as to why I am showing that charge because I already have my account paid up and when I see the next draft date for the 17th it says they will draft $10.83, my normal fee. She went on to tell me that if I wanted to discuss anything and cancel my membership, it would need to be in person but I wanted to make clarity with this $15 “other fee”. Instead of taking the time to explain anything to me, the Lady just simply put the phone down all together and went on to help other customers. Within a couple of minutes, she disconnected the line and I called back numerous times, and there was no answer. I would like a prompt follow up from a manager to resolve my concern immediately.

It's a pretty average gym but probably below average amongst the rest of the gold's gyms in the valley. Parking lot barely has any lighting and feels somewhat unsafe. Equipment is decent enough but could use some improvements. I've been noticing small improvements over the last few months. Over all there are better gyms to go to but this one is good enough. 5/10 ⭐ Update: They've fixed the parking lot lighting. It looks like they're trying to make improvements but still feels lackluster. The gym most of the time is incredibly humid, uncomfortably humid. I get that we're there to exercise but if I want a sauna I'll go to one for that. AC still constantly leaks. Nasty men's room. Nice staff though! But you're not getting your money's worth. I'll probably only keep this membership for the leg workout area but that's it, not my main gym anymore. If I wasn't paying a discounted rate I would definitely cancel this membership. Solid 4/10⭐️

It’s a decent place and it gets the job done, but nothing to write home about. Equipment is left all over the place and there’s no real effort to clean it up. The dumbbells are so out of order that it’s disorienting. I cut myself on one of the machines and the front desk didn’t have any band aids. With a few improvements this could be a great place to workout.

I'm in town for spring break and this facility over met my expectations! It smelled clean and felt fresh as soon as I walked in. That's always what motivates one to keep coming in. I've had such bad experiences at gyms that I loved coming here the whole week I was in town. Can't wait to be back next time I visit family there!

Golds gym Pharr is the best gym ever. I love their classes! Especially the instructors, they are always those to help you in any way. Extremely friendly. I recommend everyone to try it
