Best Gyms with Free Wi Fi near Erie, Pennsylvania

I love going to Planet Fitness. The machines and facility are clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly. It's well lit, ventilated and the dressing rooms are clean and safe. Keep up the great work!

The gym is generally pretty clean-ish, late 2nd and usually 3rd shift they guy is always cleaning the equipment, I can probably safely vouch for that. However, it seems the standup tanning booths are ALWAYS neglected, especially the floors in those little rooms and the booth floor itself, leaving them rittled and covered with enough long hairs from Heads, and....and ...AND.... short AND not so short AND curlys from use your imagination where they came from, to weave a rug with a thick nap ,AND still have a literal hurricane of pubes whirling about and tickling your face as the fans from the tanning booth kick on and your stuck in a doplar/pubular terror of a windstorm that endures the full 9 mns you probably chose to be the length of your tan just a few regretful minutes ago. So to avoid all this, you can just spend 9 mins before you tan hand cleaning and mopping and spraying the floor and stand up booth floor and steps yourself , because what do you expect for $25 a month? To not have to do this EVERY TIME You want to tan? Yeah right it's not like it's $40 a month like super clean zoom tan is.... Unless you get hit with that new bright and shiny $15 late fee recently rolled out sneakingly with no warning by PF..... Then yes it is $40 a month. And not worth it if my new janitorial position isnt helping cover that $40 or offering bennies like insurance and 401k.

Spoke to someone on the phone today who sounded sick (ew) and was incredibly unhelpful and then hung up. I called because I wanted to see if I could freeze my account as I have not been to any planet fitness in 2 years. I explained to her that I was frustrated from being charged the annual fee and after my explanation she goes on to tell me I need to call back again tomorrow … doesn’t say why. At this point I’m more frustrated bc instead of explaining that she doesn’t know or can’t help me solve my problem she is getting grumbly and telling me to calm down as if I wasn’t as calm as I could be given the annoying situation. She then hung up bc I told her she c should learn how to talk to people. I will be coming in asap to cancel my membership because of the loser on the phone with no customer service skills. And she’s probably spreading germs all around the gym. Again EW

Love the convenience of 24 hour gym, especially with my hectic work schedule also love the machines and the cleaning stations. Great experience..

Love the exercise machines and the 30 minute workout in the back of the building. It’s great to use when you’re in a hurry. Also the chair massage does wonders after a workout

I have held off on writing a public review as long as I possibly could—I understand that it’s a new gym and some kinks need to be worked out—but after numerous (kind) complaints to staff have seemingly fallen on deaf ears I feel I don’t really have a choice. The locker rooms here are completely disgusting. I don’t understand how a gym that has only been open for two months has gotten to this state. There are always overflowing garbage cans, toilet paper absolutely everywhere, incredibly dusty floors (I would doubt if they have been swept more than twice since opening), what appears to be grease spots on the floor, salt stains, etc. I once saw a bandaid remain in the same spot on the floor for over a week. The showers have no caddy or shelves to place your belongings. This has also been complained about and seems like a very easy problem to remedy, but no solution has been provided. (And…given the state of floors as mentioned, I don’t think anyone would want to put their personal belongings on the floor). Upper management once told me they were working on it, but nothing has been done in two months. The scale in the women’s locker room has been broken/missing since the first week upon opening. I have overheard other gym goers claiming to want to cancel and go back to their former gyms due to these cleanliness issues. It’s a lovely new gym with ample space and equipment, but the lack of upkeep really strips it of any prestige that it had upon its grand opening.

The facility is really nice, generally pretty clean and for the most part the staff is friendly. The biggest concern is that many times I went to the front desk to request a hydro massage bed, and I was ignored for over 5 minutes because they were so engrossed with their cell phones on social media and messaging. It was visible what they were doing, there were no other customers and I had to wait for their personal lives. It’s not professional or appropriate at a workplace. I hope it’s addressed soon, as it is a major deterrent for people.

I've been a member of many gyms over the years in Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Daytona Beach, and Crunch Erie has the best overall selection of quality equipment that I've had the opportunity to use. It consists of mostly Hammer Strength and a lot of Matrix, as well. I got the complimentary first training session with Maddie, and she was fantastic - very knowledgeable and good at explaining movements. I have spoken with the GM Chet, and he is enthusiastic and I can tell he really cares about making the gym top notch. Since they've opened I have noticed he has been fine tuning things and making it even better. Highly recommended - 10/10 -Bruce

Incredibly disappointed and disgusted by Crunch Fitness. My husband and I signed up because of its convenient location. We were offered a free body scan & meeting with a personal trainer. I figured why not take advantage of these membership perks and said yes. I mostly went to the appointment for the body scan - well, the body scan machine wasn’t working (and still doesn’t a month later). The meeting with the personal trainer was uncomfortable and unpleasant. I expected to get a few suggestions for workouts and/or diet - instead, I received a very boilerplate questionnaire and was walked around the gym and asked to do exercises that I frankly don’t know how to do, even after stressing that I have gym anxiety. After this, the “trainer” attempted to give me a sales pitch and told me it would cost over $200 every two weeks for ONE HOUR PER WEEK (two half hour sessions). I left Crunch feeling extremely uncomfortable and also angry that I fell for such a bait and switch. Two weeks later I went in and cancelled my membership. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly rude (the manager Chet was there at the same time). I explicitly asked if there was anything I needed to sign or if he needed to give me something to prove I cancelled - he said no, you’re good to go. Luckily, when my husband visited recently he asked if my membership had been cancelled - and it hadn’t. So this employee (with the manager present) lied right to my face and told me he had cancelled my membership when he just flat out didn’t. Also - their “personal trainers” aren’t qualified personnel. I know several people who work there and it’s basically a part time side gig. Needless to say - my negative first impression was correct. I will never be returning to Crunch, and will be sharing this experience with everyone I know.

Love crunch I go daily. The kids love going!! The staff is on point. And if your looking for a PT coach mark is awesome! He'll kick your butt right into shape :) took all my crap and kicked my a** at the same time not an easy task A+

As a Solo Female traveler, it is nice to see friendly faces, warm clean showers, and my favorite after work-out therapy hydrobed!

The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. Pubic hair all over. So much urine all over the floor. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned since I came in for a tour yesterday. If I knew this is how it looks at 1030pm I wouldn't have gotten a membership. I couldn't even sit on any of the only 3 toilets. Do better!

Good amount of space I like the functional training area. I have the black card and I can always get in the red light room pretty quickly however, I wish they would turn this garbage music down, playing Nicki Minaj or some other trash. I don’t want to have to have my volume up to level 10 just to drown out this crappy ghetto music And I think most people would agree. Wish they had two red light rooms. And also a bigger free weight area. Way too many treadmills and ellipticals. They could get rid of 1/4th of them to make more space for free weight area. Extremely crammed.

Locker room smell is worse than before. Need to check the air flow or bleach the showers or get dehumidifier or... something. It was OK before. What changed?

Great gym! I was in town from California visiting a loved one in the hospital in Erie, so I was feeling bummed out. Decided to try and get a workout in, so I found this Planet Fitness and dropped in. Front desk staff was super helpful and helped me get a trial pass, and I had a great workout. Gym was clean, equipment was good, and didn't feel too crowded. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Great gym... the staff is personable but also very professional. Everything looks clean, organized and the equipment is well maintained. I had a coaching session with Tristan who was wonderful to work with. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but took the time to listen and understand my physical limitations and needs. I've been very satisfied with the quality of service they offer and would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their fitness levels.

Great, conducive, and spacious layout. Clean. Michael in the mornings is personable, knowledgeable and available - an ideal representation for a fitness facility. Convenient location from home and work. Affordable.

Great place to be for fitness, gets a Lil crowded at times, but overall great experience everytime. Machines are new and up to date. There are interactive apps to go with your workout. And the staff are always very friendly and professional. I left the ymca to join here for the ease of access

Great place! Clean, relaxed atmosphere. The massage chairs are a little slice of heaven. I do wish they offered more classes.

Spacious, up to date workout machines, plenty of stations. Friendly n helpful Staff Members. Lots of TV's with different channels to watch, while working out.
