So I used to volunteer here through a woman's home in San Jose. I just have to give a huge credit to Angela the main cook. I'm not sure if she still works there because this is was about three or four years ago but she was awesome with cleanliness and she cooked her food with quality. She was tough but she was on point with everything she made. So if Angela is still working there give her a round of applause.. you go girl!!

I've never been to a community center before, but I discovered that this one has a library, exercise room, gym, and several multi use rooms. In addition to that there is a county sponsored senior nutrition program that has free lunch for seniors (or they can donate $3 to support the volunteer run program). If you come with a senior it is only $8 for non-seniors. The warm colors and angles of this building are really interesting, and it is LEEDS certified to be energy efficient. There is ample parking and an outdoor play area for kids. A great community resource for kids, adults and seniors.

We've been members here for over a year, and the location, staff, walls, upkeep, and overall vibe is a ton of fun. Great for our kids, the competitions are a good time, and compact but very effective gym space as well. We love it here! Not too crowded most all of the time either.

Great place very quirky set up in an old theatre. Was my first time using a bouldering gym but definitely worth it. I had so much fun testing my strength and stamina on the walls. The locker room clean and tidy. The sauna had a funny smell when I was there so I’m guessing it wasn’t clean. Also no one uses it so I’m guessing that’s the reason.

This was my first time visiting this gym, and overall, I had a good time. My only issue was how people would sit down on the ground near the back bouldering wall, despite the fact that the space is very narrow and creating a hazard for anyone climbing a nearby route. This is not the gym's fault, it's more of a concern as I didn't want to accidentally land on someone whom decided to sit down right in the path of my descent. The routes were challenging, but a lot of fun. I just wish the bouldering space was bigger so people could spread out and not have to squeeze together.

Pros: Fairly clean facility, got plenty of different equipments to exercise each muscle, they perform regular maintenance of machines, they have 4 sets of each dumbbells, lap pool is available, sanitizing wipes are present at multiple places, easy QR code scan entry using their app, lockers available, large enough space that it doesn't seem crowded. Cons: Pool is not cleaned as frequently as it should, I have seen bandage, hair, and some debris on the pool floor quite often. The shower area near the pool definitely needs cleaning. The showers inside have only a nozzle and really needs to have a shower head, bathrooms could use some cleaning / upgrades, one more seated cable row machine would help. Some other thoughts: At times, there is a sign on machine saying its under maintenance. Its good but sometimes that sign stays on for days and weeks before its serviced and is usable again. Any gym really is as good as the people who go there. If people are sensible and have basic courtesy they will wipe machines down after use and keep the weights back in the correct rack space. So far I have found that mostly people do it but there are always exceptions. Overall, I think for a common person, this gym offers everything that is needed. It could do with a few improvements but I would recommend this gym. I like going here.

Useless staff. Why do they partner with my fitness if they are not going to honor the memeber , also the GM that is theONLY one able to approve this membership is NEVER THERE. Everytime I go the front desk says “ he stepped out “ every single time. How about he steps into his role and does his job?

I have been going to this location for past few months. Lately it’s getting really busy and have to wait for lot of the equipments as they are constantly being used. Also, multiple machines out of service for several days before they are fixed. It’s a nice clean GYM.

The staff are all very professional and kind. The club is well maintained. The pool area is clean and kept up. The locker rooms are spacious and kept clean, plenty of lockers available and they are large enough to put several items inside. There is more than enough cardio and strength-training equipment for all levels of guests. And the basketball court is kept clean as well. The only drawback I could see is that there's only 1 court available for a 5 on 5 game as opposed to there being other hoops available for side play

I’ve taken classes at Rocksalt’s RWC location before and was excited to hear there was a location closer to home. I’ve taken the Strength class here and the Stretch class. The studio is really clean and the classes are well structured. I’ve tried other Pilates studios before and often found them to be too easy but Rocksalt is just the right amount of challenging for me (+ you can scale up or down the difficulty based on your own abilities)! IMO Rocksalt has the best Pilates classes in South Bay!

I had the best class with instructor Gisselle! She was so positive and made sure to come around and make sure everyones form was corrected if needed. She made me feel comfortable and went at a good pace. She also emphasized to only do as much as my body allows which I have never been told before, it was nice to hear. This was my second time trying pilates and I will definitely be going back because of her. Also, her music taste is 10/10! she had me ready for my day. Great class Gisselle(:

Nice location with a good variety of machines. Their black spa is decent compared to other locations but it gets the job done. It was somewhat busy on a weekday night. They’re open 24/7 on some days, so be sure to check their hours. Some past reviews have mentioned the lack of towels and showers. If you’re looking for fresh towels, you’ll have to pay more at a higher-end gym like VillaSport or Lifetime Fitness. Planet Fitness is great if you’re just looking for a quick in-and-out workout, especially if you’re traveling. While I’ve never used the showers at any location, they should be functional, so the complaints about them are understandable. Overall, PF isn’t fancy, but it offers a clean gym and great value for $10-25 a month. I like this location, as well as the one in Saratoga, and I’d definitely come back to both.

Been going to this Planet Fitness for a little over a year now and it's awesome. The staff are friendly and always say 'hello' and 'have a good night'. They recently got the new plate loaded equipment which is super nice. I can't comment on the locker rooms or showers since I never use them, but the main area of the gym is well kept. If there is ever a machine out of order it's repaired within a day or two. Only downside is it's not always 24 hours.

I've been working out at this for a few months and I love this one most compared to other locations I've been to. This one is cleaner, less crowded (it means the machines that I usually work out with are most of the time are available to use). It is also less noisy as well. The staff are well-trained. They're friendly and always welcome customers to come in or say goodbye when they leave. The machines here look cleaner and definitely newer than other locations. It takes me 5 minutes longer to get here but it's totally worth the trips. Parking is abundant. No worries about parking at all.

Update 10/28: Planet Fitness did cancel via email which is great. Very much appreciated how prompt the manager was in responding this morning (very early)! I am cancelling my membership as of October 25, 2024. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision whether or not to sign up here. I called the gym on the morning of 10/25 at 11:52am and spoke with Alex T who stated I would need to come in physically to cancel my membership. I drove to the Blossom Hill location this afternoon around 1:45pm and met with Alex and Anna at the front desk to complete the cancellation in person, as Alex stated there is not a way to cancel the membership online. The front desk staff then informed me that the “computers went down 10 minutes ago” and they could NOT cancel my membership. Which is certainly incredibly frustrating as I drove an hour out of town to handle this in person. Alex stated the manager, Lola Harris, would be canceling my membership via email, as the "computers were down" and she was not present today. She also does not have a direct line on her business card, and the phone number is to the front desk staff. I asked Alex and Anna how it can be guaranteed that manager Lola will cancel my membership, and they assured me it can be done via email due to the computer glitch at the gym today. I requested that Alex write down that it is a guarantee that Lola will process my membership cancellation and thankfully he did provide a note with this information. I have attached it to this review. As I did send my cancellation email on a Friday afternoon, I am not hopeful Lola will respond today. I will update this review accordingly once the cancellation is processed. I will also be sending a certified letter to the gym with this cancellation information.

The Princeton Plaza Planet Fitness San Jose is privately owned. Although an 800 number takes your information you can only cancel thru each individual gym. There is no other way the app is useless. Email has gone unanswered. Billing is a complete mess and the employees are ill equipped to handle issues. They simply refer you to the manager. This particular gym has poor lighting (dark). The bathrooms are in need of renovation. $15 a month you get what you pay for !!! NOT MUCH At the Princeton Plaza Planet Fitness.

I can highly recommend Planet Fitness on 1035 E Capitol Expy. San Jose, Ca. for their very helpful, welcoming, and friendly support, for their spotlessly clean gym & showers, & for their great value charging only $10 a month. I am 82 years old & on a very tight budget. Erica, my training instructor is not only an incredible & knowledgeable trainer, but this service is also free at Planet Fitness, so I am able to sign up to see her several times each week. Planet Fitness really is fantastic, & I feel very lucky to be able to be part of such a great organization.

February 4, 2025 update: changing from 4 to 5 star. Consistently the cleanest gym of all. -Wednesday November 6, 2024 5 am it was the cleanest I've ever seen! Prior to that it's been hit and miss for cleanliness between just ok and looking like someone T.P.'ed the locker room with used Q-Tips on the floor and bench seats. I sure hope the gentleman working that shift sticks around for the long haul.

Dear Planet Fitness Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my frustration regarding an ongoing issue at the Planet Fitness location in Gould Plaza, San Jose, CA. As a loyal member who values the inclusive and supportive atmosphere your gym promotes, I am disappointed with the lack of enforcement regarding the 30-minute workout stations. Despite the clear policy stating that "Planet Fitness does not set time limits on any piece of cardio, functional, or strength training equipment, with the exception of equipment located in the 30-Minute Express Circuit," I have consistently observed members ignoring this rule. Many individuals remain at the 30-minute stations for longer periods, often exceeding the time limit and using multiple stations, which disrupts the flow of my workout and those of others. I have attempted to address this issue by politely asking fellow members to allow me to use the stations as per the rules. Unfortunately, many have refused to move, and this has been a persistent challenge during my visits. When I brought this concern to the attention of the front desk staff, a few were kind enough to issue warnings. However, during my recent visit, I spoke with a staff member named Josh, who informed me that he could not enforce the 30-minute rule. He claimed there was nothing in the policy to support such enforcement, which I find concerning, especially given the clear guidelines that exist. It is disheartening to see rules meant to create a fair and efficient workout environment not being upheld. I believe that effective management of these guidelines is crucial for all members to enjoy their experience at Planet Fitness. I kindly request that you address this situation and reinforce the importance of adhering to the 30-minute rule. Regular monitoring and enforcement would greatly enhance the experience for all members and ensure a respectful workout environment. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing positive changes and hope to continue my membership with Planet Fitness with a renewed sense of community and respect. Sincerely,

Love the gym and all the equipment it has to offer . But the cleanliness of the gym has to be better . The lockers in the front are very dirty and looked like it hasn’t been cleaned since it opened . The detail on the elliptical machines have to be cleaned too . I really love the location and the parking . I would hate for this gym to degrade and go down esthetically . A clean place matters .

Update!!! 1/7/24 I cancelled my membership, the GM Mimi Nguyen took my money for a fitness challenge that she never updated me on, completely ignored all my messages and texts and I never even got to participate. Then today I get an email saying I owe $840. Excuse me. But now I see why so many people had left negative reviews about this place. They definitely are scamming and refuse to take any accountability when they are called out. Absolutely avoid this place unless you got coin and time to waste because they will not correct their mistakes. I love this place. I’ve been coming since March. The facility itself is nice and clean and new. The machines are all state of the art, the staff is friendly and it’s never so busy that you have to wait for machines. My only feedback is that the women’s bathrooms are not cleaned as thoroughly or as frequently as they should. I shower here 3-5 times a week after my workout before work and there’s been many times certain splatters or hair or scrunchies have been left in the same spot which leads me to believe that they haven’t deep cleaned. Aside from that, they offer meal preps and smoothies which is super helpful when you’re on the run. UPDATE: I had to part ways with this gym because I moved out of the area. Upon that I had decided to join a challenge that they were having and paid to do this challenge. The GM Mimi, assured me that there would days and times that would work to fit my schedule for the days of training. Well she never communicated with me , took my money and then when I messaged her multiple times to dispute and figure out a work around she completely ghosted me and didn’t respond to me. I had one more payment of $135 for the last month of my contract and somehow they’re now trying to take $310. Mimi never contacted me back and I am completely disappointed at the professionalism of the staff. The gym itself is absolutely amazing however the management has a lot of work to do with their professionalism and communication.

On 11/18, I bought membership in UFC San Jose Oakridge and also purchased a private coaching package for $ 900, totally I spent $1097. Unfortunately, my experience with the private coaching sessions has been extremely unsatisfactory. My initial coach frequently arrived late for sessions, ended classes early, and delayed providing the dietary plan that was part of the package. After expressing my concerns to Mimi and requesting a change of coach, it took her four days to respond. On 12/4, I was given a new coach, but my experience did not improve. Out of the two sessions we had, he arrived 15 minutes late for one and completely forgot about the third session. I feel that there are serious management issues within your team and a lack of customer service awareness, the same day, I requested for refund. I also sent a complaint letter to UFC headquarter on the same day. So far, I haven’t received any feedback from them! I joined your facility with high expectations, but I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and accountability I have encountered. I trusted your brand and services, but my experience has left me feeling let down and undervalued as a customer. I believe it is only fair to refund the unused portion of my private coaching package and membership fees as compensation for the poor service I received, you guys keep ghosting me. I look forward to your prompt response and a resolution to this matter.

If I could give UFC Fit zero stars, I would. My experience with this gym has been nothing short of appalling due to their complete disregard for customer service. After putting my membership on pause for medical reasons, I was surprised to find that I had been charged upon attempting to cancel. Multiple attempts to resolve this by phone were ignored, forcing me to come in person—a major inconvenience while recovering from surgery. Upon arrival, the staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and shockingly indifferent to my situation. Despite explaining my circumstances, I was denied a refund for services I am unable to use. This response, hidden behind rigid policies, showed a profound lack of empathy and professionalism. UFC Fit appears far more interested in maximizing revenue than in offering genuine support or customer care. I would strongly advise against this gym for anyone seeking a membership with a company that values and respects its clients

Don't let the reviews fool you , that's from when the gym used to be good .gym used to be great now they double charge and have attitudes. I feel bad for the owner he's clearly trying to do what ever he can to keep his business from sinking. Doubt it'll last much longer . Showing all the songs of declining business. Sad. Hope they can turn it around. Also, they're weird about pausing membership even for medical reasons . My gf just had surgery for her cancer and they still gave us a hard time

Awesome gym. Been looking around for other gyms recently because I moved a bit far away and with traffic could take me up to 25-30 minutes to reach, and the lack of quality gyms in the area shows me how lucky I am to be working out here. It has everything you need in a gym, spacious, not too crowded usually, weights are in place, staff is friendly, new management is replacing old equipment, and the place is always clean. If you’re close to this location, look no further (also not expensive even with the raise in prices post-Covid).

There’re many boxes of alcohol wipes for members to clean equipment after using each times. It’s very good idea since hygiene is very important due to the pandemic and another contagion. And, you can use hydro massage tables, tanning and red light therapy treatment rooms, if you are their premium memberships. All in all this place has good facilities for working out. 5 stars to 2 stars after 10 months: Original: So far so good. Class of four children for 25$ per class of 30 minutes which seem to be in the range of you compare to water aquatic or YMCA. Nice facilities, parents are not in the class but you can pay 5$ or 7$ depending of the time to have free time in the pool (which is very limited in their schedule). Free wifi, hot water, 25$ yearly admission fee. After 10 months: My daughter received 2 ribbons in the first 3 months and for the next 7 nothing. My 3 years old might not be the best but she listens. However, the teachers (we tried 3 different) keep being stubborn about "gliding". My daughter got better but she wants to swim (move her feet). So, she is stuck at that level. Also, they need to go in deep water for the next level but the kid can practice deep water only 1/5 time, hence almost only one every two months. The program is NOT adapted for young kid and the teachers do not know how to change the routine to spark progress. The staff is way too young. The supervisor decks are total douche bag. Sun glasses, big attitude, talk loudly. When I asked a question, their answer was very respectful like if the question was dumb while they had done a mistake (give twice the same level to my daughter). The pool is DANGEROUS. I saw a boy that almost drowned because in the deep water the two teachers were not supervising the kid waiting in line. The boy went in the deep and couldn't get up. It took more than 3 seconds to the teachers to move toward the boy. I almost had the time to jump to rescue him myself... Very dangerous. Supervisor decks are not checking, they just walk around with weird attitude. About supervisor decks, they also distract teachers with ridiculous riddle on the whiteboard and chitchat. I know, I stay on the side of the pool. Also, do NOT take the 3h30pm class because teachers are tidy up stuff 10 minutes before the end of the class to get ready for their "teachers huddle". In short, the staff is way too young, all around 21 years old. They have "fun" there, and it looks to be a great place to "chill" as a first job, but for your own children safety and progression, I do not recommend.

Just had my first swim class here and it went great! Super friendly staff, clean facility, enough space to change etc. It was busy but yet did not feel crowded as every group had its own section of the pool.

If you are looking for a friendly, safe family owned club to work out on your own or with a private trainer give AVAC a try. There is an outdoor pool for lap swim and aqua aerobics along with an indoor swim school. There are many group fitness classes for all ages or take on a private trainer. Optional palates, bungee and fit classes, play tennis or pickle ball or relax at the Cafe for a bite to eat or a smoothie. Full showers, sauna and jacuzzi with towels provided. I've been a member for 20+ years and have no plans to leave.

We have absolutely loved our experience with AVAC’s swim classes! Delaney is a joy to work with. Our daughter is shy to the take, but she has made this new environment so comfortable for her. Very grateful for her and the rest of the wonderful AVAC staff!

This is a great wide open gym with plenty of machines and space to make it comfortable and easy to use. It is very clean and there are lots of choices. Sim at the front desk is super nice and helpful and definitely works to keep it clean and answer any questions or address any issues that may arise. Easy to join, easy in/out, tons of parking… definitely worth checking out if you are local.

This is an incredible gym! The atmosphere is always energetic and motivating, with great equipment and facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Coach Adrian is the ultimate personal trainer! His dedication, knowledge, and passion for fitness are truly inspiring. With Adrian's guidance and support, I've seen incredible progress in my workouts and overall fitness level. He's the only trainer I have worked with who is diligent about my lower back issues, and actively incorporates strengthening exercises to facilitate better back mobility and safety. I definitely recommend personal training sessions with Coach Adrian.

I joined because I saw there is a pool. There is not. The main reason I left because the shower area is disgusting! There are flies in the shower area. The shower heads are damaged. This place is gross! That's why I canceled DIAGUSTING!

This gym is an absolute nightmare! Equipment is outdated, and it’s always crowded, so you can barely get a decent workout in. The worst part? Jacob Pabley, the manager, is rude and unprofessional. He ignores complaints and treats customers with zero respect. Not worth the money!
