Best Gyms with Free Weights near Kennesaw, Georgia

I have recently joined CrossFit Koinonia and it was the best decision I could’ve made for my fitness journey going forward. Unlike any other gym out there, this feels more like a personalized workout plan to your own individual needs. I found that it doesn’t matter what experience level anyone is at because every workout can be scaled differently dependent on what fitness level you are at. I have only been going about a month, but I have already seen progress and results which will keep me coming back. I will not only be coming back every week for the killer workouts but also for the incredible community and atmosphere Charles and his wife have brought to Crossfit Koinonia. I’d highly recommend this gym and its worth just stopping by to try out a class and see what its about.

I've been a member at CrossFit Koinonia for a few months and love the community! Everyone is very welcoming and they encourage me to continue growing my fitness goals. Classes are fun and I get a good workout with each class! The owners are very nice and I am happy to be part of the Koinonia family!

I’ve been a member now for 3 months and have had a great experience! Starting anything new can be intimidating, but the members here are very welcoming. They made the transition easy and made me look forward to going to the gym. The format of vary in workouts keep it interesting and challenging. All the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and help you scale any movements you may not be ready for yet. So happy to be a part of this community!

Charles and the team at CrossFit Koinonia are welcoming and really supportive. As someone new to CrossFit I was worried that it would be a bit overwhelming but nothing could have been further from the truth. The team at Koinonia met me where I was and helped me set goals and start on my journey. I find myself looking forward to every workout! The community there is really great as well.

Julie gave me a guided tour of Crunch and she was AWESOME! She did an excellent job. What an incredible gym. Possibly the nicest facility I have ever been to. As a piece of constructive input - I would love to see pegs to hang your clothes in the tanning stalls. It would be easy to install and add a nice feature when using the tanning beds.

I love this place. Very clean and very close to me. Huge amount of equipment to choose from. 12 squat racks is perfect, would be even better is was added 1-2 more bench press stations and one Reverse Hyper as is at east cobb one. In general is amazing gym and location too.

Great Crunch location. Tons of space to get a quality work out in. Dont judge the crowd meter by the parking lot - classes pack out. Floor exercises, cutting edge equipment, free weights, cardio and sum. Top quality gym. Totally dominates 🌎 PLANET FITNESS AND LA Fitness (on way out). Best gym in the city for the money. Quality staff, very clean facilities and tons of fitness options. Highly recommended 💯🥇🐺

I've had my share of gym memberships—LA Fitness, Gold's, and Crunch. I usually go to Crunch in Acworth, but when this new location opened just 5 minutes from work, I had to check it out. I was really impressed! It's much larger than the Acworth location, with a huge variety of machines and cables. Even during peak hours, I didn't have to wait for anything. I'm excited to make this my go-to spot after work.

I was very skeptical about joining when we arrived but you were exceptional to address all concerns. This location deserves 10 stars. I rarely used my LA Fitness membership that I purchased several different times. I’m eager to workout 🏋🏾 at PF. It’s clean, with user friendly equipment, friendly staff, reasonable prices and having the black card is a plus. I wish it was 24hrs everyday. Don’t hesitate. If you’re seeing this… Join TODAY!

OMG I cannot believe my experience with the Hydro massage and cryotherapy last night. It was so clean and amazing/new. I changed my membership location as soon as I came here and experience what I experienced. Let me tell you the guys at the front desk especially Kasim we’re so nice and very respectful of all my questions I had. That man needs a raise seriously! I belonged to the planet fitness that was on Cobb Parkway and to be completely honest with you. It’s night and day. I used to smell pee when I went to do my Hydro massage from their bathrooms. Their gym was absolutely disgusting. I don’t know why this gym isn’t at five stars because like the last review I would give it 10 stars if I could. The only thing I will say is the GPS will not take you right to the gym. It’ll take you across the street in the urban air Plaza, but it is right in back of Zama‘s restaurant. You can’t miss it. Whoever the owner is thank you so much. Your gym is amazing. You’re employees are amazing. Everybody should leave their planet fitness and come to yours. I’m not even joking.

The best Planet Fitness in Cobb County! The Cobb Place Ln gym has the most updated equipment and a friendly, welcoming staff. If you're considering transferring from another location, I highly recommend making the switch. If you are looking for a new gym, sign up for this location. You will thank me later!

Planet on Canton Rd has such a welcoming staff and trainers! If you can go around lunch time you will have lots of space and time to get in your workout. Very clean and good vibes.

The place is small but very cozy, the staff (Bob) is very friendly and dedicated to his work. I have been here for 3 years and so far everything has been spectacular. They offered me the service of a personal trainer (Shelby my former trainer & Evan my current trainer) who are super dedicated and know what they are talking about. I like their energy and way of treating their clients. If you are looking for a place this is the place 😁

I’ve been on a gym search this year, and after trying out a couple of group classes here and there, I finally decided to find a trainer that would tailor a workout plan specifically for me. For the same amount as the other gyms group classes, I now have a personal trainer that’s exactly the motivation I needed. I’ve been working out with Jose who’s just excellent at giving me a balanced workout and the extra push I wouldn’t typically get otherwise. After a few months I am more toned and defined than I’ve been since high school…definitely stronger. A huge thanks to Jose for the fitness and nutrition plan that works for me, and with great results!

Almost every time I have been there the staff has been inattentive and uncaring. The locker rooms are nice. The equipment is outdated and they don’t have good ellipticals which is my preferred machine. But the real reason I’m leaving one star is the cancellation policy. Like many other gyms, they’re shady and deceptive about if you want to cancel. When I asked what the cancellation policy was, they said all I had to do was call a phone number. I go to cancel after about ten months and get a phone tree that took forever for me to even get to a person, then was told I had to pay off the balance left on my membership (I had three months left so I paid three months worth of membership) in order to cancel. Person was obviously overseas and barely spoke English. So this place is shady and deceptive, don’t go anywhere that you can’t cancel your membership n club. They refuse to and kept making me call the shady number.

Hello, I would like to share some positive feedback on my personal training at this particular You Fit in Kennesaw. My trainer, Jose has been absolutely phenomenal. His physical fitness training knowledge goes without saying. Jose has given me the motivation to reach my physical fitness goals. I have lost overall close to 100 pounds. Thank you Jose for pushing to my fullest potential and making this journey a success!! You’re one of the best!

Been going here about two years now. Dumbbells are always racked unlike La Fitness. Mostly clean. Friendly environment; the bros are always motivating each other. They put in some new machines last year which are nice. They do have two deadlift/squat platforms. Dumbbells only go up to 90lbs which sucks, but for $12/month can’t beat it.
