This PF was always clean, and staff were very polite and ready to assist if you had a question. ALL Equipment was ready with NO defects. All spray bottles were ALWAYS full and paper wipe condensers were full. This place was AWESOME!!! THANK YOU for MY experience. Truly a Very Nice, Clean place to work out!!!!

Location is very clean, they have a lot of equipment and a wide variety so even when it’s busy you can stay moving. Every staff member I’ve encountered so far has been friendly & helpful. I go after work so it’s consistently pretty busy, but the vibe is chill despite there being so many people.

I really appreciate the affordability and quality of the gym. The staff do a great job making sure everything is clean. I do wish there were more weight lifting equipment compared to all the cardio machines. The cardio machines take up almost 75% of the place. I understand that if there were more weight lifting equipment, it can "look" more intimidating, but I find myself waiting for multiple machines a few times a week. I know that it's not on brand for you guys though. The issue is that there are 10 row machines and I have only seen 1 person use them. That's just take up space. That is my main critique of the gym. More weight lifting equipment. Less cardio equipment. Thanks for all you do!

Clean place, friendly staff, wide variety of work out equipment with a decent amount of space between each equipment piece so you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other, and no judgmental looks. The hydro massage is really nice after a work out as well

This gym is awesome. The good features include space, having an abundant assortment of cardio equipment, clean facilities, and on site showers. It is one of the few 24 hour gyms in the area. They also have the arc trainer as a rare cardio treat. The only minor downside to it is in the morning the changing and shower areas can get a little backed up. So make sure you budget for this if you’re going before work. Otherwise I have no complaints only praise for this facility.

This place allows for racism and they didn’t take me seriously on the old staff member who made clearly loud racial remarks, coordinator pretending to write about my concerns on a post it note. YMCA is supposed to be family friendly, but they allow for this behavior that I bring my kids to. Here they go today again, around me. Second photo is my report a few months ago with specific time bc I know they have cameras in the wellness center. But I had to post this today because they didn’t take my report seriously.

This YMCA has the worst customer service EVER! From the managers to the stay and play staff. You can’t possibly expect someone to trust these people with their children. Just horrible all around. I waited over 30 minutes to talk to a manager and still left with my concerns unheard while the front desk staff treated me like I was trash. After years, I think I’ll be cutting ties with the YMCA.

The Greenbrier Family YMCA is one of my favorite places to work out! It's affordable, which is a win because I feel like many gyms charge ridiculous prices these days. But here, you get so much for what you pay! They have tons of classes at a variety of times. My go-to's are kettlebells and Tabata--they're such killer workouts but in the best way. One of the things I love most is that the instructors actually do the workouts with you, which is so motivating. Plus, they're super helpful if you need modifications--they just want you to feel good and do your best. And even though this is one of the smaller YMCAs, the vibe is always friendly and welcoming. Just a heads-up, though--weekend classes can get pretty packed, so I recommend showing up early if you want to grab a good spot! I look forward to my workouts here, and it's such a great community. Whether you're a total fitness newbie or a gym rat, there's something here for everyone.

The outdoor pool area needs work! Grass growing in cement cracks, leaves and gum balls all over concrete and the pool has leaves in it. The splash is dirty. I've been to several outdoor pools at other ymcas and this is the most unkept.

Usually hit or miss. Swim lanes are dicey at best, facility sometimes has cardio equipment and weights available. Now the best not the worst.

I’m a traveling gym rat because of work. I’m in VA heading to WI and needed a spot to get a good lift in. Onelife looked good from the Google pics. I signed up for a free guest pass although I’m used to paying for a day pass since I’m from out of town and have little chance of signing up long term. They let me on for free which was dope. The gym itself was excellent. Clean and full of a variety of equipment. Also a supplement shop in the building as an added bonus. When I find myself out here for work or leisure again I’ll definitely drop in.

I like being a member of OneLife fitness. The best thing about this gym is the location, very convenient near by greenbrier mall next to my house. The gym needs mirrors in a lot of places. I see people cleaning all the time and it is very nice. The only helpful people there are the front desk. I really appreciate Anna Bourget she is always smiling and ready to help with anything. There is another person who helped me once called Alex. He showed me other options with the machines when they have moved machines and I couldn’t find it.

The 5 star is given because Manager at gym Luke does have a heart for his job with his members. And also Alex is a super employee He goes above and beyond to make sure equipment issues are taken care of letting you know updates of the problem Just has a heart in the job. It's these 2 that truly show customer service as needed that make a business survive. And why I would stay at gym. And also the cleanliness of the gym. Because I have seen gyms that truly don't care of how the gym looks but I truly see the effort here. And several at the front desk really care about welcoming you in and taking care of your concerns. I enjoy the gym

I’ve had a membership here for a little over a month. And the facility is top notch! The staff is super friendly. The daycare area takes great care of my infant daughter every time I go to workout and have her with me. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a gym

If you want specific equipment this gym has it all. This is one of the largest gyms I have worked out in and is by far the best gym in Chesapeake! Have not tried the classes, but they offer a wide variety of classes as well. Some of the equipment is slightly older but not falling apart. Even has an outdoor area. Also tons of cardio equipment. Gym has lots of sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer stations and seems clean. Locker rooms look brand new and seem very clean. I highly recommend this gym. Check out the pictures!

Staff gets 5 stars. Only complaint is due to the small size of the weight room, the layout makes no sense. Only weight room I’ve ever been to where the dumbbells are not in front of the mirrors. And for some reason they have their declined bench in front of the mirror pointed the opposite direction.

While this YMCA is small, it's also less crowded than most of the others in the area. It has a decent selection of equipment, but could use some extra weights. They added an outdoor racquetball court that doesn't get used much, especially during winter and the heat of summer. I think a pool would have gotten much more use and brought more people to this location. The parking lot is pretty crowded, but there's a lot to the side that people can use, if needed. All the people I've met who work here are great, and very helpful and encouraging. Definitely a no- judgment gym!

This YCMA location is outstanding when you take into consideration how small it is. Although there are no swimming pools here, there are six full-size racquetball courts in addition to the typical exercise equipment, childcare facilities, and a recreational room upstairs. There is handicap parking, an outdoor bike rack, and the bathrooms include showers and hot tubs despite the lack of pools. Call ahead of time if you need anything, including making a reservation for a racquetball court.

Military members apparently can't use 7 day passes to see if the YMCA fits their needs. Quite disappointing as I've been a YMCA member for a long time. Will not be one anymore.

Best place in area for racquetball, they also have times where you can actually get court time for pickleball, have to check the gym schedule though.

I trained at Three Ships for five months while contracted in Chesapeake as a traveling physical therapist. I was impressed from day one as I had a meeting with Britney to discuss what I was looking for and the goals I had for fitness. Each coach took their time every session to discuss the workout plan, provide proper warm up to activate the appropriate muscle groups for the workout including mobility, broke down the movement patterns for the lifts, had the strength portion, then performed the workout of the day following (the coaches had multiple levels of the workout for different athlete fitness ability). Each time, the coaches would make sure each individual was assessed for proper technique and form. Great community of coaches and athletes! The only reason why I left was because I had a work contract in another city. Highly recommend Three Ships Collective. The coaches are dedicated to their craft.

I am visiting from northern VA and was looking for a gym to drop in on that was open past 10am on a Sat. Happened to stumble across Three Ships in my Google search and was able to easily pay for and set up my drop in online. GREAT space, clean, organized, a great array of equipment, and very welcoming owner/manager (guessing), Britney, to top it off. Very happy I was able to find somewhere to finish my programming during open gym on my trip. HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the area!

So I want to start off by saying that this is the first CrossFit gym I've been a member of. I didn't know much about the sport or the gym environment other than what I had seen on television or heard from other crossfiters. I felt at home from day one, everyone was extremely welcoming and warm. The coaches have always focused on the development of everyone, and seem to prioritize the longevity of athletes over everything else, meaning that they make sure you don't hurt yourself by encouraging people to push through injuries or pain (stemming from poor technique). This place has really changed my life. So if your looking for a gym to join or just a place to drop in to, please give three ships a visit, you will always be welcomed.

I had Britney for my classes. Very professional and encouraging. Be prepared for a random question of the day to get your brain flowing as well as your body moving in this all around gym. I dropped in for a week with them and hit 2 PR’s and I have been doing CrossFit for 2 years off and on. An open gym and a class on Saturday allows all members to see one another. They even have a children’s area separate from where you work out but safe for little ones so you don’t have to worry about weights. I found my new gym whenever I am in town. You can tell a lot of time and effort was put into this gym to make sure members can work out any time they want even with little ones.

Today I brought my two toddlers, one of whom has special needs. The staff were very friendly and approachable. My family and I felt accommodated and both kids enjoyed themselves. The children in the stay and play were kind, the space was clean and the staff presented like they were closely knit.

A nice oasis of calm compared to a typical YMCA -- unless to sign up for the very popular Regymen classes.

I initially submitted a consultation form for my daughter on Oct 2nd, with the understanding from the front desk person that a personal trainer/manager would pick up the request that day upon arrival. With no response, I inquired again on Oct 6th mid-morning only to be notified that the original consultation form was picked up that day by the same front desk person, and that I should be contacted later that day. No response. I went back on Oct 9th during the afternoon and spoke with what I felt like was a manager, who told me that she would reach out to the personal trainers and have someone contact me. I received an email from Cody on Oct 10th around 7pm, and responded on Oct 11th around 0900 requesting to speak and reiterate what I was seeking for my daughter. I just received a response today Oct 16th, (5) days after my earlier response providing a little more detail, and still asking if I wanted to discuss more about the consultation. I just responded appropriately, and requesting that we speak today to address my request and dissapointment of services being provided. It has been almost 3 weeks since I first submitted the consultation form on behalf of my daughter. Very unhappy with the services, especially being a long-standing member of the YMCA. My hope is that the YMCA management will take notice of the level of service being provided to their patrons, and work to provide better customer services.
