They still charge you after you cancel and tell you that it's part of their policy. You have to cancel your credit card if you don't want to get charged another month after you cancel. This should be illegal

Delisa Johnson at the YMCA has truly been a remarkable asset in my experience. Her dedication and commitment to assisting with teenage adjustments and program involvement have made a significant impact. Delisa goes above and beyond in her role, demonstrating not only a deep understanding of the challenges faced by teens but also offering tailored support and guidance that resonates with them. She assisted in setting up our new membership for the teens and has done an amazing job making us feel at home. The YMCA has a gem in their membership team

Was at this location today for my workout. The gym monitor thought I was doing individual training session. I explained that I wasn’t and he seemed to have understood after me explaining what I was doing and that I wasn’t telling other kids they couldn’t use the floor because I was there. We did talk and he seemed to have understood. I went on to explain that for the year and a half plus that I have been working out at this YMCA, for them to have had this rule supposedly already established, I sure have seen people, maybe dads or their trainer with son or daughter on and off training and I’ve had to move to another court or wait until a later time to use the courts. And today, there actually was someone over there training some kids. I’ll just sum this part up by saying I hope YMCA you are being equal and fair in regard to this personal training rule. However, while in the gymnasium today, again, there were kids just throwing the basketballs across the court for no reason and also throwing them to hit each other. After explaining to them twice, why that’s not safe for anyone in the gymnasium and someone could get hit and/or hurt by doing so, they stopped. This goes on quite frequently by older kids as well as younger. It’s not comfortable for those kids and even adults that may be in the gym trying to get a workout themselves. God forbid someone get blind-sided because of the carelessness and negligence of someone else. Some kind of rules need to actually be enforced somehow so that everyone who uses the gymnasium is aware of them. Finally, in the men’s locker room while showering there were several older kids playing and tossing the metal stools around and I happened to see a kid attempting to throw one over top of a section of lockers to the other side. I suggested to them not to do that and that someone could get hurt or they would break something.

My favorite YMCA in the Charlotte area. Friendly staff and very well run. Group Ex classes are by far the best of all the Y’s in Charlotte. The Group Ex instructors are amazing — always prepared, creative and push us to work hard and be our best.

I joined crunch fitness a couple months ago, and started their personal training program. I love working out with Marta every week! She put together a personal program to help me reach my personal goals and I'm already seeing results. The front desk staff is also very friendly.... shout out to Daria!

I attempted to visit this gym as a guest with my friend, who pays for a membership that includes guest privileges. We drove 25 minutes to this location, only to be turned away by an employee named Justin, who refused to allow my friend to bring me as a guest. My friend is new to the gym and didn’t want to go without me, which was very disappointing. It’s frustrating that he couldn’t utilize the benefits of his more expensive membership. I hope management addresses this issue. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and questioning the value of the membership.

I have been working out with Emma Carico, my personal trainer, for about 4 months. She is by far the best trainer I have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and teaches me how to properly perform my workouts for the best results. I am grateful for her because I see a tremendous amount of improvement in my form, muscle definition, body shape and overall physique. I would not have been able to get these results without her. She is an amazing trainer and person! Always making the workouts fun with her great, bubbly personality. She pushes me to reach my potential and always motivates me to keep going, building my strength and power. I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking a well experienced trainer with a great personality who also provides personalized guidance in every step of your fitness and training journey. Love training with her! I am in the best shape of my life and it's all thanks to her.

Huge gym with every piece of equipment you would need. One of the only gyms I’ve seen with 20+ stair steppers . Most gyms have a few and they’re always taken ! Employees very friendly and they’re always cleaning ! Thanks Crunch! 👊👊

If I could give a zero star I would. Been a member at this Crunch location for the better part of 4 or 5 years. There are several things about this gym that I have disliked over the years. The main things is they seem to go through cycles of trying to up sell you on Trainers. The trainers will flat out interrupt your workout to try and sell you their services... very rude and annoying. They always approach you like they want to be your friend... no thanks. I can put up with that though. What unfolded in the past three weeks has been nothing short of the worst customer experience of my life. I have had a series of charges show up on my bank account from Crunch Fitness Ballantyne that I didn't authorize. It happened a total of 3 times over the past three weeks. The first time I went into the gym to address it. Talked to Zander (a manager). We were both cordial about it and he said he would have someone higher up reach out to me because he couldn't see the charges on his end and didn't know what was going on. I never head anything from the "higher up". A second charge showed up about 3 days later. Brought it up to Zander's attention again in the gym. Again... "you'll hear back from my higher up". Never heard anything. I disputed the charges with my bank and moved on. Then today I get a third charge. Now I'm getting irritated.... No one at the gym can tell me what's going on or how to stop it. And no one is willing to look into it deeper. Called the gym and talked with manager Justin. He actually accused me of lying about the charges on the phone. Told me to come in and show him my bank account with the charges. Told him I would be there in 15 minutes and he said "ok, I'll be available until 10". Everyone at the front desk was busy so I found some other employees near the front to ask for him. There was a group of 4 standing together and when I asked for Justin the one girl cracked a joke "He quit this morning". I responded back "I not in the mood to joke right now". Then the trainer she was standing next to, Kevin, started berating me for being "rude" saying “you can’t come in here with that attitude” and told me to "go find him myself". Like seriously? Stating that I don't' want to joke triggers you that much? It was really weird and incredibly arrogant. I responded by saying "I'll be cancelling today and mostly because of what you just did". His response was, "ok, good, I don't care." Like am I in the twilight zone?? One of the other guys standing there did direct me to Justin who was sitting at a nearby table in a public area near the front. Justin actually did get to the bottom of where the charges were coming from... not sure why Zander couldn't. Their system was allowing a member who I don't know to charge to my account (not really clear how). During my talk with Justin I went into further detail on my treatment when I arrived and he actually portrayed me as the bad guy and his trainer as the victim. Stated that the trainer felt threatened" by me.. uuhh.. My statement was directed to the girl next to him explaining that I didn't want to joke around with her. That is threatening to the guy standing next to the girl I was talking to? Guess explaining your mood to someone is threatening? And threatening to all individuals anywhere with in ear shot? Bizarre. Justin would not apologize and actually stated, "I will always defend my employees" and then accused me of "invading his space” when I approached him… Ummm... your the manager of an open establishment that I am a paying member of, you were in a public area of the establishment, you knew I was coming, you said your were available, and you were on duty...... Beyond me how approaching him was is inappropriate. How about all the times my personal space was legitimately invaded when your trainers interrupted my workout to try upselling crap that I don't want? I cancelled my and my daughters membership on the spot. Will be spreading my story as much as I can on social media. I have never been treated so poorly and so unprofessionally. It was truly mind blowing.

I really enjoy going to this gym. It’s large with lots of cardio options I never see even half full—maybe a third? Lots of weight options including a 30 minute area that’s smaller and for me feels less intimidating and an easy simple circle of machines. I also enjoy the extras for some members that includes massage chairs, hydro massage beds, red light therapy, and a couple other things. Highly recommend. I see all ages and abilities here and the front staff is super nice.

100%my honesty. Pros are usually not too busy, chill staff, semi clean. Cons as you can see in all these pictures as of very recent there are numerous machines that have rips in them which can cause infections. Also there are a few machines out of order due to most likely the entitled rich parents kids coming in there and not giving a damn. It is ballentyne so it’s expected smh. People usually mind their own business and people are pretty cool usually. There’s times it is a little hotter then it needs to be in there. Bathrooms for the most part are sorta clean. Men’s rooms smells like body Oder at times. One of the faucets in the men’s room has been broken for 4 months now. Sometimes the paper towels are empty so it gets annoying. If they can fix these things it would be a very good planet fitness. Time will tell.

Your facility is Clean, Neat, well laid out.My wife and I especially love the 30 minute workout room, and the other room next to it (the grey room). I love all your endless "cardio equipment".....We are now Fans of Planet Fitness. The only suggestion I can make:Your dispensers for hand cleansing are usually "empty", and there is a need for more of them. When I am in the 30 minute room, I have to walk to another part of the gym to use one, and it's always empty. I then have to walk all the way to the front door, which is how far apart they are. And, disinfectant wipes are far more functional than the "paper towels and squirt bottle"....I know that costs you money, but those paper towels are worthless.

More open area and less machines than other AF gyms. Very clean and not busy. It is not hiding inside staples as the map might suggest - it's on the other side of the building on the second floor.

I love the size and feeling of this gym - not crowded or overwhelming and has the equipment I need to have a great workout. The manager Ron was so patient and accommodating to the issues I had joining this gym since I travel frequently and change gyms depending on my location.

Nice space in a good location. Generally not overly crowded. My only complaint is the outdated and (often broken) cardio equipment.

Atha yoga classes, especially the Hot 26 are amazing. It’s so much more than just a yoga class. It’s so good not only for your body, but your mind and spirit. I have not experienced this same feeling and approach at any other yoga class. It’s always mainly about the fitness. But here I came out with a different state emotionally every time. My favorite teacher is Olga, she’s just an amazing guide that immerses you smoothly and gently and you definitely feel how genuinely she cares about each class she teaches. Every time I can make a class with Olga it is a win in my day. What a great joy and gift!

I came for Hot Yoga at 7:15 am with Ana. I am a yoga teacher myself and I’ve only done two other hot yoga classes in my lifetime. I’m 61 years old and I’ve been practicing for maybe 10 years. This class was well instructed from a sense of feeling supported in my anatomy my spirit, my breath, the sequencing was stellar, it allowed me to find my way to strength, stability and ease. The studio itself was welcoming. It had a beautiful tea circle set up so you could just sit after class and integrate the studio is large plenty of room highly recommended.

Atha Yoga is the best studio in CLT! It’s very welcoming, clean and spacious. All of the instructors are so kind!! They give you tips and guide you into the correct posture if needed. It’s a no judgement zone with all different levels of yogis! A few of my favorite things at Atha include Hot Yoga with Olga, the cold lavender towels during savasana & so many class options!! 10/10 recommend

A legit hot yoga studio! I was running late and couldn't find the studio. Luckily Olga answered the phone and guided me to class in the nick of time. Beth was a lovely teacher and I'm looking forward to attending more of their classes. Would recommend!
