First experience with Anytime. Gotta say that the gym itself is good, they’ve got heavy bag in the mobility room too, and most of the machines operate just fine. Staff seemed friendly as well. My issue is with the somewhat shady business practice. You’re charged an additional startup fee and whatnot, which is typical. But I was double charged. I noticed it a week later, and was reimbursed. Glad I noticed it! Eventually I had to cancel my membership because I was moving out of town. After what I thought was a successful cancellation, I was charged a further 2 times. (Which was $38 bi-weekly, really expensive for what you’re getting). Didn’t noticed those because of the holidays. Finally did this morning and was able to clear it up. My point in writing this is to be careful and pay attention. Anytime fitness relies on you forgetting to go through all the hoops they want, in order to truly cancel. I do not think that this is the staffs fault. I blame Anytime Fitness’ business model.

Me & my wife visited this location once while we were out in Portland for the weekend. The facility is a decent facility compared to the AF locations in the metro area we live in. The use of space was good, but the bathrooms could use better lighting, especially for those who actually need to use the shower portion of the bathrooms. The gym was clean though. They had equipment that not every AF location has. You do have to pay to park though, unless you visit on a Sunday, which we luckily did.

There this new guy ( a.k.a. New Year’s resolutions) who inhabits 4-5 pieces of equipment at one time . I’ve been coming here for a year and loved the place, between 3-6 AM depending on when I get off work. Now it’s no fun being at this gym. This guy is making it hard and miserable!! 2 pieces at a time I understand but 5 is ridiculous.

Hidden Gem of a gym! This place is the best! The staff is great but super chill. All body types, ages and genders are well represented. The locker rooms are individual and unisex. The equipment is incredibly maintained and the whole gym is sparkling clean! The team members are very friendly if you need them and don't bother you when you don't. ALSO on the weekends the farmers market is is right outside the gym across from Esther Short Park. Its the best hack in Vancouver to hit the gym then grab fresh produce from local farmers and a smoothie from the smoothie cart just out the front door! Seriously the best gym in town.

My experience with Anytime Fitness was initially fine, but things went downhill when I tried to use my membership at a different location. Beforehand, I specifically spoke with the team to confirm there wouldn’t be any issues. However, from the very first day, I was unable to access the other gym. Despite calling for support, the problem wasn’t resolved, and it’s now been almost a month. The staff failed to follow up on my issue as promised. They said they would email the other location to find a solution, but nothing ever came of it. This lack of communication and accountability has been extremely frustrating. If you’re looking for a gym where you can seamlessly use your membership at multiple locations or expect good customer service, I would strongly advise against joining Anytime Fitness.

You won't find a better team of coaches or a nicer community. I recommend SWAG for any gymnast, at any level.

My daughter and I have been at the gym for several years now. Of the three gyms we’ve worked out at, SWAG has been by far the best. SWAG has definitely become a second family. The office staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The team coaches are all ridiculously great, and have decades and decades of experience between all of them. The gym owner is fun and very involved in his programs. The Rec staff is all wonderful and keep the kids moving, having a great time and keep them learning new skills in a positive environment. Parents night out has fun weekend staff. We love SWAG so much! Too many good things to say.

We had a terrible experience here! Our 6 year old went to the assessment class to determine what class she would go to. The coach for this group was incredibly rude and condescending to the kids, I couldn’t believe my ears! I almost pulled my daughter right out. Many of these kids are new and just trying this for the first time and the coach was making frustrated sighs and yelling at them when they weren’t doing the moves right - rolling her eyes and just absolutely condescending with no encouragement. Again, this was a beginner assessment class!!! How would they know what to do?? She had zero patience and was so harsh with these little kids, it was heartbreaking and after a few rude comments I would’ve pulled my daughter right out but I didn’t want rob her of being able to try something new that she had been wanting to try so bad. In the end I would NEVER sign her up here - after the class my daughter said “the lady kept getting mad at me because I couldn’t do a cartwheel.” It was sad and I regret not leaving earlier. I told the manager at the desk and she replied that the instructor was usually great but having a “bad day.” I’m sorry, you can’t take your bad days out on little kids, it’s not only wrong but also unprofessional. I would never ever recommend sending your children here to learn something new. Even if it’s just one bad coach, it could crush a child’s spirit!

My initial impression was good, but I'm not really convinced about it being a good place for young kids. Maybe okay for older ones. There is no communication between staff members and nothing gets notated on the accounts (at least not in my case), so the miscommunication caused big issues. I definitely feel like my children are handled and viewed as if they are less valuable than the other participants. I'll update this review if it changes.

I had gone through months of ER visits, muscle movement therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic care for sciatic piriformis. I got it to the point I wasn’t in pain daily, but I could still feel it every day. It stayed at this level for six months. A month after starting weight lifting and HIIT classes at Anytime Fitness, I barely felt any pain. I added Muay Thai classes and I not only don’t have pain anymore, I barely even feel that it’s there. Patrick is an awesome trainer. He meets you where you’re at, encourages you and pushes you to raise your own bar. The whole staff is friendly. The gym is always clean and never overly crowded. I love it here.

Location. Location. Location. On the corner of Andresen Rd. & NE 63rd St. on the Safeway side. This gym has a lot to offer. Exercise machines, free weights, open space to stretch, and group classes. The best part is this Evolt scan that reads more than just BMI or how much you weight. They sell supplements and a variety of beverages such as protein drinks or pre-workout. This is more than just a gym. The owners really want the best for every member and make an attempt to know you as a person to help you in your fitness journey. They will even join in on a HIIT class. The staff/trainers are engaging and knowledgeable.

This is my first experience belonging to a gym. I love it here! It is convenient , close to my home and open all hours. It is always well lit, a good temperature . It is not a large gym but it has all the equipment I need. The owners snd staff are fantastic! The classes are amazing!. They offer small group and team training classes that really push you. I always feel energized afterwards. I have nothing but good things to say about this gym!
