Best Gyms with Cardio Machines near Phoenix, Arizona

I have been to many Anytime Fitness locations, locally and around the country. This is by far the best Anytime Fitness I've been in. Staff personnel are respectful, the gym is clean. But best of all, is the equipment and functional training space it has. Highly recommend.

Everytime I've called some middle schooler or high-school individual answers the phone never taking the conversation seriously and very unprofessional. Giggling or laughing and trying to talk to someone else while again on the phone with me a paying member. I don't think I have ever been disappointed with an establishment as far as I have with customer service. They don't verify your information when calling twice I've gotten other individuals accounts which is so concerning. Anytime you can definitely contact me. Also I cancelled my membership.

Loving this gym the place is so clean! I love training with Matt because he explains everything and pushes me to my limits. What I like even more about this gym is that that I can get on any machine at any time without the long wait and craziness. Plus it's open 24 hours so I have no excuse not to go. :)

Great Anytime Fitness club. Very clean, lots of space, ample equipment. The owners and members obviously do an amazing job taking care of this club. It is a stellar example of the Anytime Fitness brand. Great job.

This is probably the best Anytime I’ve been in. It’s got all the best equipment and tons of space.

The showers looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly for at least a month. The handheld shower lines and floor tiles were encrusted with shower residue. I have been to several ATs over the last month and it seems that the franchise has become lax on its cleanliness standards as many of the showers were in a similar state.

Giving 5 stars for the major points of; low # of members when I am there so I don't have to wait for equipment and the condition of the machines is quite good. Most members re-rack their weights which is much better than the experience that I've had at other companies. Cons; this place is TIRED. Several cracked mirrors and the paint job is dull and damaged....not very energizing to stare at charcoal grey walls and most of the other colors are in desperate need of a refresh. I've been a member of luxurious gyms in the past and though this brand doesn't compare, it seems to get the job done. Overall a very good place to get your sweat on.....just needs some updating.

Definitely an embarrassing experience I saw a Facebook post that said free 6 weeks and I read the whole post now when I showed up it was basically like an interview to see if I qualified for the program. They toured me, asked me questions and right at the end. They showed me a paper that says it’s $300. I understand it’s two payments but it doesn’t matter that is false advertisement and I’m definitely disappointed in the company I told him I’m a single mom with three kids, saw an opportunity and was excited! At least put in the fine print if you don’t lose the weight, you don’t get your money back so basically you pay $300. It’s actually over $300 and once the six weeks are up if you lose 20 pounds you get your money back they need to put in the advertisement because once again it’s false advertising. Also, I wanna know what company interviews people to see if they qualify when it’s really just about making money for them. We all qualify at that point if we’re paying you, we qualify.

Great gym, but there has been a reoccurring issue lately with the scanner not working on the door. I lift early in the morning before work so it’s an inconvenience arriving during non-staffed hours to realize I’ve wasted my time before work. Get this fixed, please

Nathan and his staff care about their members. They worked hard to hire a new coach after the one they had was badly hurt in a motorcycle accident. I now work with Vini and he is awesome. The gym is always clean and has a very good selection of machines and equipment to achieve my workout goals. I highly recommend this gym.

I went to this Planet Fitness location while I was in Phoenix for work for a couple weeks. I really enjoyed it! Plenty of space, machines, and free weights. The overnight staff was great. If I'm back in this area again this will be the gym I go to.

By the way nothing has Changed see pictures below of this morning 7am Saturday July 13th, 2024 JUNE 24TH, 2024: I live in Glendale and this Phoenix location is my Home Gym. I travel to Los Angeles 2-3 times per month. As a result I visit many Planet Fitness locations in between Phienix and Los Angeles. It's sad to report that this Gym is by far the least kept up. The staff are always just loitering talking amongst themselves. The men's restrooms and showers are generally dirty and smelly. The equipment is not cared for and the water station has been inoperable for the last 5 days but it's regularly either turned off on purpose or needs replacing. I've been on the verge of calling the Health Department and each day I visit I'm much closer! It's truelly disappointing.

I will take pics next time I visit PF. I had one of the best visits to PF yesterday. I go there to do my PT exercises. I noticed signage of some of their black card amenities and asked about them. There is one that I think is called the Healing pod. You lay down on it and there's a screen above and another screen with optional prompts for: visual background, meditations, breathwork, scents and heat. I was SO relaxed after 15 minutes. As well, I tried the new machine called, Cryo (something). It offers heat and or cold, along with pressure massage for the legs. Wonderful! Planet Fitness has different sections of workout equipment and plenty of space. The locker room and shower is decent too.

Well this place is my gym that I goto, when my body tells me to get up, and start moving. I recently had surgery on the bottom of my R-Foot. So it’s been a while since I was even able to walk without some assistance. So with age being a factor to I am differently on my mission. I really enjoy my workouts on my time, and most importantly when I feel like it. Open 24 hours 7 days a week So if you are thinking about joining a gym, I think you would really enjoy going Planet Fitness’s. They works with your health insurance, you may not have to pay a dime. Just call your health insurance company,ask them if you have coverage for Wellness Care. You need to Check with your Doctor first, and then it’s up to You!!!!! Photos provided by me!!!☺️

Nice place to work out at. It's clean and I feel comfortable here. I didn't see a sauna or steam room though. If there is I didn't see it. They have the hydromassage and other things though for blackcard users

Great friendly staff. Very family oriented location. The crew in the daycare area are amazing. They actually do activities with kids. Nice to see that. Zumba is always poppin, though i've only gone in once myself. Weight room is quite busy sometimes, but everyone pretty much handles their buisness and gets off for someone else to use. Best gym I've been to.

I like it because I have questions everyday and they always answer them they always know where the kids are with the kids are doing kids are never out of their sight they feed them they go out to the movies and trampoline parks and different places they go swimming the staff keeps you informed and any kind of incident progress they call you if the kids are sick or out of hand yeah I like that

My children are so excited to go to YMCA daily. This is sincere when I say there are some staff that truly make a difference. The staff members are Josh, Zoe, Monce, and Ms. Rosa who have made a wonderful impression with my children and we are beyond satisfied with this program an highly recommend them for their remarkable care!

Me and my family go this location weekly like 3 to 4 times a week. My kids are 16months 10years 12years.and its me and my husband.we just love it they are so friendly and helpful.the place is ALWAYS clean. The kids watch is amazing.my daughter loves going to the YMCA. She gets all excited when we get to the front door.my boys love it also because we get to work out together as a family. We are excited to use the pool here soon.this place is by far amazing. We love it. Thank you all for making our experience great at this location.

Clean gym with enough equipment and friendly staff. Though parking and workout equipment can get tight at peak times. Overall, a solid spot to work out

I have been a member for years with EoS. I always said I liked it if people asked. I don’t normally don’t write review as I think it’s a waste of my time but this incident has been so infuriating. I would like to give a heads up to people before they go through what I went through. To start with I would HIGHLY recommend to ask as many questions as you possibly can when you sign up or switch to any plan. Biggest questions is when you will be billed and when with my the last day you will have gym access if you were to cancel a plan. Here I will explain what happened and my mistakes as well. I had left EOS because I didn’t have time to workout but a couple months ago I signed up again. They charged me the yearly and the monthly. Then it was just monthly. I had a guest pass and my bf was with me. They said that his “guest pass expired” which made no dam sense because I was the one with the guest pass. But we were confused. They are nice to you in order to sell you. So if you are wanting to buy no problem. They started telling us about a family plan. Which would lower our monthly charge but same membership for both of us. Now looking back at it, we had no problem in the way we were doing things. We ended up switching. I clearly asked if I was going to be charged in the same again. Unfortunately I didn’t clearly ask what I would be charged exactly or what date I would be charged. I am currently budgeting my money and I leave a cushion in my account but I wasn’t expecting $165+ charge. My account went negative and it cost me $30 unnecessary charges. Which makes no sense when I had paid a yearly 2 months prior. I should have been waived or something. I went in, I ranted on the phone and in person. But in the end I realized I didn’t open the email they sent me, that part was on me. They also didn’t explain the charges BEFORE I signed up. Of course I would have decided it wasn’t worth it. They tried to make it as a promo to lower monthly but it’s saving a bit while they take much more. I went in to ask what happened and I came to feel so bad because I was ranting and I realized my part as well. Then this morning I see that I am being charged for my previous membership and because another 30 for being negative. The money to replace it and make it positive again had not gone through yet. Now I am back to being extremely frustrated. They are nice to you and act like they care about your well being up until you are being screwed over. I am not naming names because I believe it’s the whole location. I used to be at a different location and they never screwed me like this. Who knows it could be all EoS. Be assured I am asking for a refund. For one yearly fee and the previous membership. I will give an update on how it all settles out.

Kevin was the absolute best! He ensured my visitor was well taken care of. The ladies at the front desk greeted us with a smile and proper introduction. Coming to this location for the first time was a great experience.

horrible experience with personal training only went 2-4 times out of a whole month been charged around 5 times 156$ each time. been having a horrible time every since i first started on October 30th, first time i enrolled they gave me the most expensive plan paying 35$ per month only for me to go 1-2 days to the gym, Eos Staff or the people that get u enrolled should not recommend you the highest plan for someone who's just getting enrolled, the manger "nick" set me up with a personal trainer a week or so after i enrolled, he never told me it would be a contract or nothing i did't get the chance to read the details on the so called "contract" tried cancelling the 2nd week because the "personal trainer" would never reach out to me, i tried making an appointment with the "trainer" and he just cancelled. i called my trainer to figure out what had happend no answer called Eos and they said that they would have me move to another "trainer" and that they would call me to Schedule an appointment never got a call, no text, no nothing Eos has just been draining me i just switched to will do plan, and eos has the audacity to charge a 49 fee just to switch like money hungry! and am only 16. i called to check why i had a 460 something on club balance and i had to talk to the manger "nick" that i wanted it canceled and he said that he would do that and never did they have been charging me without me even going never got called first 2 charges were on my card and i only went 3 times max or 2 and they took 312 out my card for just going 3 days. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ #moneyhungry!!#refundmemymoney

I rate the gym 1.5 stars, the equipment is too close together especially on a week day from 3-6pm good look finding anything open to work out on. See yourself standing next the a treadmill or bench for about 15 minutes waiting for it to open up. Saunas don't even got hot unless there is about 10 bodies in there. My last month here better of at planet or drive the extra mile for LA fitness

I recently visited the brand new gym off 19th Avenue and Baseline Road, and I'm thoroughly impressed! The staff is amazing, especially Assistant Supervisor Brian, who was incredibly helpful. He gave me an in-depth tour of the cryotherapy lounge and the machinery, which was fantastic. The free weight equipment is safe and secure, providing a great environment for strength training. My only concern is the lack of safety belts and wrist wraps available for members to borrow and use. Having these would be beneficial, especially for those of us who have experienced injuries like hernias and want to ensure 100% safety while working out. Overall, it's a great gym with excellent facilities and staff. Highly recommended! ---

I actually love the vibe of the gym but the pool, which is one of the main reasons I joined, is disgusting. Hair balls are floating everywhere. When I asked how often the pool gets cleaned they said they thought once per week. What?!?! That's disgusting! 🤮 For the number of people coming through that gym I expect it to be cleaner. They certainly have enough staff...... If the cleanliness doesn't improve I will take my money to another gym.

switched from planet fitness what a night and day difference. lots of different machines ive never used before. love the fact that i can hit the sauna after a workout. Staff always makes me feel welcomed. makes me actually excited to come in the gym. Thanks batman

This is one of my favorite locations of the EOS franchise. The staff is incredibly friendly facility is clean and everything you need 24 hours a day seven days a week thank you EOS

Fantastic location for planet fitness! Lots of parking available and absolutely brand new equipment. And absolutely immaculate as well. The gym looks so good and you can see the quality. The bathroom was decently clean which can be a problem sometimes at planet fitness. If anything the staff could be nicer and more welcoming I'm used to going to different planet fitness and have a nice greeting. Maybe because it was midnight. But other than that fantastic location!

UPDATE - December 4, 2024 Always great seeing Bryant when I come to this location. He has been here for about two years and is always professional, pleasant, and welcoming. I always have a pleasant encounter when he is here. Because of him, I highly recommend this gym to workout at. Keep up the great work Bryant! This is the best location. I have been to four different locations, two in Tempe and two in Phoenix. This is the best location. The managers and management team at this location provide outstanding customer service. The Assistant Manager Meek and Bryant provide consistent outstanding customer service and ensures that all employees do the same by greeting every customer as they enter and exit this location. The facilities and equipment are excellent. Workout here. This is a great location to workout. Bring your family, friends, relatives, and co-workers to this location. I highly recommend this location.

I like going to this gym. The staff are nice and greet you when you enter and leave the gym. Brenda was my trainer and she was the best and greatest trainer I could ever had asked for. She helped me alot with my training. Nathan is the new trainer he is also the best and greatest trainer I could ever had asked for. He is helping me with my training. Always friendly staff and welcoming. Clean lockers, the shower and changing room are a little gross sometimes from hair balls left behind, but still worth going here.

Great place to workout. They recently added some new equipment & the ladies there keep the bathroom sparkling clean. All of the staff keep the whole facility clean. Right now, there water isn't working, but hopefully, that is fixed soon.

I goes to many planet fitness all around and I would say this is one of the best and cleanest ones I’ve ever been to. And the employees are very kind and helped me with everything I needed.

We all know what Planet Fitness offers, but this place has the best staff that any company has to offer.

First visit. Just moved over from the closing LA Fitness. Less people than LAF. It will take a little bit to figure out the new equipment. But … so far so good.

I recommend PF to everyone. I’ve been working out for over 30 years and have been at this gym since it opened. I love the usability of the gym, how clean it is, and the free personal training from DJ. Jesus has done a great job of keeping his staff motivated while running the gym in the absence of a manager. Or, Jesus can be the manager since he’s been doing it for months now anyways. But I digress. I love that gym! I know the staff by name and they are all genuine hardworking employees. Definitely 5 stars.

The entire childcare team is AMAZING! My daughter loves everyone here and they always remember her name and mine. It feels like family! It is so secure and friendly. This is the only childcare I trust with my little girl who has been coming here for about 2 years now. Also, my personal trainer Brittany Richard is the BEST! She has been so great and helpful ✨

VASA is an amazing gym. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. So many classes with incredible instructors! Love the pool! The water is always warm and clean. The coed steam room and sauna are great. Check out the hydro massage chairs. What a find! I can't say enough wonderful things about this gym. Something for everyone.

Recommend this location Staff is always welcoming and very helpful. Even open to listen to recommendations. Studio Red classes are always fun and challenging always looking to book my class with Jenna. She makes the class fun and challenging as Jenna recommends modifications to the exercises to make them more challenging or easier depending on your needs. My personal training experience has been fantastic as well. I’ve been working with Brittany for months now and I have accomplished so much, she is always open to adjusting the workout to meet my needs.

I wanted to come on here and say that this is by far an amazing gym but i also wanted to mention the front desk staff who are so wonderful, specifically Emily. Emily is so kind, helpful and educational. She has educated me on so many services that VASA offers that i didn’t know was offered with my membership. She is so friendly and welcoming ☺️ 10/10!

I love coming here to work out. I’ve always had positive experiences whether I’m using the sauna, the machines, free weights, cardio, locker room etc. Everything is very clean and the staff is also really friendly/helpful. I specifically love my personal training with Brittany. She is awesome to work with and makes every session worth it.

I wont lie, this place is terrifying at first, super open and a lot more people than Plant "fitness". More machines and free weights as well as other amenities like treadmills and pools and basketball courts. Plenty of barbells and dumbbells and the Olympic area for deadlifts is amazing. Locker rooms feel like you are walking into a billionaires bathroom and are super super clean. This gym plays surprisingly good music, I find myself without my ear buds sometimes because of the fact that the music isn't bad.

I recently took David’s Studio Red class at VASA Fitness, and I absolutely loved it! His energy and motivation were contagious, and he really pushed me to work harder and give it my all. The class was challenging but so rewarding, thanks to his encouragement and guidance. If you’re looking for a great workout and an instructor who truly inspires you, I highly recommend trying David’s class!

The Studio red class is pretty awesome! Rachel is amazing and super encouraging. I switched from planet fitness to vasa. It’s a lil pricey but you get what you pay for here !!! The staff is super hands on and so helpful. I love it here so far!!

I had recently moved to AZ and hoped to find a gym that fit my fitness goals. After a few gym trials, I can 100% say that I’ve found the gym with the best community and amenities based on my preferences! I took my first studio red class with Carlos who was an excellent coach and immediately after signed up for a membership with Daniel. Since then, I have taken classes from Daniel, Holly, and David all of which are amazing coaches!! I could not recommend a better gym in this area!

Celeste at the front desk has made going to VASA Fitness such a great experience! Always so friendly, helpful, and brings such positive energy with every visit. The actual gym is amazing, too: very clean, well-equipped, and just really welcoming. Highly recommend

This is one of the best clubs in the area. It is extremely clean. You always see staff tidying something. Everybody at the front desk has been very nice (except one gentleman that seems annoyed if you arrive in an RV - but not worth demoting a star for). I work out for as short or as long as I like. The other clients are friendly. Overall, a good experience - especially for someone just getting back to the gym after years and years away.

I’ve been coming to this location for years and just within the last couple months I feel like it’s just gone down. The new cable machines are cheap. My main complaint is the cleanliness. There’s been new management that’s come in within the last month or so and the gym is not being as kept up as it previously was. The bathrooms are always dirty and the staff just isn’t on the floor as much anymore keeping things clean and stocked. The previous management and employees where so friendly would walk around and talk to the members it was such a friendly environment. There’s been a pretty obvious switch up in the demeanor of the employees and new management and it’s just not as welcoming.

I have been coming here for 6 months every day and have loved it. Lately there have been more and more group home people loitering in the reception area and it has become ridiculous. I think it’s a great service to provide IF the people are working out. they are not and now the gym has become a hang out which is not good. Hoping this changes very soon.

The staff and management at this location are amazing!! They’re very nice and extremely helpful to every member!! They cheerfully welcome everyone in and gladly spend as much time as any one member needs for whatever meets those needs! The facility is large and very clean filled with recently installed brand new equipment!! It’s the best gym I’ve belonged to in years!!

Best laid-out location by far, always clean, but the new equipment is not great. They took away the best glute machine and it's replacements are not the same at all. Also too many bicep machines. No need for 2 of those. I did the member survey online like 2 weeks ago, like the manager said to do, and included my member# and email in the survey, no contact at all.
