I’ve had an amazing experience at Lifetime Fitness in Laguna Niguel! The facility is truly top-notch, with everything from well-maintained equipment to beautiful pool areas and spacious workout rooms. It’s clear they prioritize a clean, welcoming, and motivating environment. What really sets this location apart, though, is the Concierge team. They go above and beyond to make sure every member feels supported and valued. The team handled our recent membership changes with such care and efficiency, even waiving the standard cancellation notice for us and processing everything seamlessly. I felt genuinely taken care of, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you, Lifetime Laguna Niguel, for creating a place that combines excellent facilities with exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a gym that feels like a community!

They have an amazing supervisor there named Olivia who is such an asset to their organization. She is the reason I got the membership for their child care services (which are also fantastic) and why I'll be signing up with them again in the future. She always follows up with any concerns and has answered all questions and concerns I've had with the utmost professionalism. The club is great, but her attention makes it really stand out. Thank you for all that you do!

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service at Lifetime Laguna Niguel. The management is abysmal, showing little to no regard for member satisfaction. The sales team operates with deceptive practices, making false promises to attract new members. For instance, they assured me of a specific price point with access to multiple Lifetime locations, only to reverse that policy a month later. As a result, members are left with less than what was originally promised, creating a bait-and-switch experience. The pressure to sign up for personal training is another glaring issue. The sales team’s aggressive tactics often border on harassment, making the enrollment process uncomfortable and unprofessional. My experience with the LifeSpa further underscored the lack of customer care. The manager was unreasonably rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to accommodate or address unforeseen circumstances. It’s clear that Lifetime prioritizes enforcing its rigid, profit-driven policies over supporting its members’ needs. That said, the Operations team is a bright spot in an otherwise poorly managed club. They do an excellent job maintaining cleanliness and creating a positive atmosphere for members. It’s disheartening that Lifetime undervalues such dedicated employees by paying them the least compared to other departments. Overall, Lifetime Laguna Niguel seems to prioritize profits over people, leaving loyal members to feel undervalued and misled. I cannot recommend this location until significant improvements are made in their management and policies.

The place to be! My experience is when approaching this magnificent building and park my car at this beautiful parking structure then approaching to the lobby and seeing all these professional beautiful people then walking to the lobby and amazing smell of the space and the beautiful receptions I already feel I got my money’s worth. Not to mention the great changing room, shower, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, swimming pool, all the amenities, and then I go upstairs using all these high tech equipment, pleasant space to workout and seeing all these good looking people around as well as great classes including hot yoga, it just makes LifeTime the place to be!

Gym is amazing and clean, but the staff is very unfriendly, especially the ones who work the front when they check you in..no one ever greets you with a smile and genuinely try to act nice. It feels like your bothering them to check in or seems very robotic and not very member enagaing. Membership is not cheap the least we ask if if the staff can be friendly and the facility can be clean..this location does one of those things very well..the other not so much.

Planet fitness gym in Laguna Niguel has a ton of parking which is a great feature because other gyms around the area like 24 hour fitness is always packed. The gym has a variety of machines and free weight dumbbells. This location also has a second floor, which is dedicated to cardio equipment like treadmills etc. Similar to other locations, the staff is very friendly and the facility is always clean. Even during the busiest times, I don’t find that I have to wait to workout or share machines. The tanning is also kept very clean if you choose to do that. For the price is really good. The only suggested change would be if the gym’s hours could be extended later or even be 24 hours.

I have been training for over 5 years, I have been in many gyms and the most important thing for me is the cleanliness of the gym and the training machines. I currently have a one-year membership at 24 Hours Fitness but unfortunately it is very dirty and that is why I decided to look for another gym and now I have been training here for three weeks and the morning staff is super friendly, the day before I had the opportunity to speak with the manager to congratulate him for the great work that he and his team are doing.... Thank you very much Tylor for your time and work. ✅

I can always get the machine I want at this Gym... way less crowded than other major chains... defecting from 24 hour. The machines here also are very interesting as they mostly do not have a solid bar between left and right hands. IE if you push only with the left hand only that side goes, meaning the little helper and balance muscles get involved to make both hands push evenly. Due to that I really had to step down in my weight I'm pushing and get used to these machines... which I love. They are closer to free weights than the machines where you could push on one side and the other side would go up as well. Does that make sense? I used to do only free weights but now that I've turned 65 I prefer machines.

This location is clean and calm. The members are lowkey and focused on their own workouts. I never have to wait for cardio equipment. The 30-minute classes are great. The trainer teaches at your level with just a bit of push and lots of encouragement. My favorite pieces of equipment are the battle ropes and hand over hand rope pull. If you have the fancy membership, you can finish with a chair massage. RECOMMEND

I go to the location in Laguna Niguel at 5am on select weekdays. Been going for about a year now so I have a feel for the facility and usual people. Overall it’s a great place, although it has its limitations depending on your needs. PROs — Meticulously clean at all times, great staff, very modern facilities and equipment, very cheap ($10/month), not a ton of people regardless of the time of day. CONs — Wish it opened earlier than 5am, amenities are limited, “black club” features are lackluster, no barbell-style equipment, weights don’t get very high versus other gyms. Overall it’s great for beginners, older folks, and those wanting a little of everything. Not really recommended for competitive fitness training or those looking for advanced-asset facilities (tires, bars, etc). Would be better if it had a sauna or steam room, opened earlier and closed later, and maybe the “black list” benefits were more than tanning and massage chairs. But as said before it’s only $10/month and much cleaner and more modern than most places, so hard to argue. Definitely recommend it if you are close to one. I’ve been a gym rat for almost 25 years.

Please remember the younger crowd that this too it’s a Senior Facility and don’t forget to share the facility with our Seniors, please have manners and a little of more respect to them. I came today from the second floor because my grandmother is handicap and the people from the inside where’s out of place with my grandmother, etc. I don’t even want to repeat or bother of what he shouted at my Nona. Rude, immature man. One day you’re going to be old, don’t forget this. K.A.R.M.A Please kindly have the second floor door open on Tuesday & Thursday during their hour of work out. Jaden @ the front lobby & Anita were very professional, helpful and understanding. Keep up the great work.

I love this gym! The staff is super friendly, the weight room is huge and there's a ton of equipment. The staff in the kid zone are great. My oldest had a hard time at first and the staff made her comfortable and now she loves going there.

Very nice, clean gym with lots of opportunities for activities. But their app structure is confusing. Two apps, one local and the other apparently national exc. that it's not completely? and no schedule in the app?

This place has become a joke. I expressed some of my displeasure with the boss Jen who did not have much interest in solving the problems, but rather telling me that I should look elsewhere if I cannot handle the fact that I am not getting what I pay for. Customer complaints and feedback fall on deaf ears and nothing gets resolved with any efficiency or timeliness. It took over two years to get the floor in the weight room redone and now they allowed the roof to leak so long that several tiles came down during the last storm. The basketball court, which is almost NEVER open to members, is one step above unplayable condition due to the lack of upkeep and tremendous amount of dirt, dust and other debris on it. Bottom line is that if you do not have a family with children participating in activities here this is not a place for you. Staff and attitudes like what I have encountered are the reason why the YMCA is going downhill quick. 3/19 update- After my above post was read I was promptly contacted by management (Jen) who encouraged me to modify this post. I made it clear that if the needed changes took place I was would do so. Once Jen and Bill realized that they actually had to do their job(s) they opted to terminate my membership rather then dealing with the ongoing negligence of customer service and the facility. Moral of this story is pretty simple and that is if you do not have a family stay away from this place. LA Fitness is less then half the monthly membership charge with longer hours and employees who value the customers. Only took me one workout over there to figure that out.

I am lucky enough to teach here and exercise! And this is such a great place! I love being able to teach swim classes in a great space with a heated pool, hear all the fun energy from the tennis courts, and have such nice and newly updated amenities in the locker rooms and upstairs gym equipment- there’s even a reformer for Pilates workouts! All the staff is so friendly and great to work with!

Walking distance from my house and the perfect place to work out. Not the "scene" one finds at other gyms. Highly recommended.

The Spearman family runs this and the sister Clubs (Monarch Beach and Racquet Club Irvine) and deserves every one of the FIVE Stars. Through the entire pandemic they have been so mindful of their members. Keeping us active and happy in such a dismal time. They kept their facilities open as long as legally possible just to give us the benefit of being able to get exercise. Pools have remained open throughout. Juniors programs and summer Camps are well organized with lunch and swim time included. League opportunities a-plenty. Their reputation in the PacSun and Hill n Canyon leagues is unmatched in the region. Match arranging rocks thanks to Mina who doesn’t just throw you in a match-she places you with people in your skill level. Try Vitali’s liveball, it’s a crazy calorie burn and addictive. Staff is wonderful, like family. Grounds and courts are well maintained. Anita pours some generous drinks at the bar. And the new remodel will bring a new re-vamped fitness center.
